Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. The cake was absolutely delicious! We didn’t get enough of it since it was small. Quite pricey, though, but worth it. I wish I had ordered the medium size— Lola’s Cakes never disappoint!

I am very sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the vegan cupcakes and the pink mini cupcake box.
I want to assure you that we bake all our cakes and cupcakes fresh for collection or delivery so I am very sorry you found them to be hard.
They are decorated with our butter icing which is our sweetest icing and I would recommend trying ones with our cream cheese icing.

Gluten Free Red Velvet cake was delicious! Definitely didn’t taste GF. Looked beautiful too, shame the text was so restrictive there was space to do an ‘18’ but was told they couldn’t due to space. (Capital letters also count as 2 spaces so had to use a nickname rather than my daughters name)

What a Change for the better !!
There a new energy and finally there is customer service at this location. Have always loved Lola’s cake and over the years do many family & friends have had them from us as Birthday gifts. The service was always awful at Selfidges Birmingham. With this new manager Penny. It’s a breath of fresh air. Always a pleasure to buy cakes not only as gifts but do way for ourselves and such great recommendations and we’ve tried things I normally wouldn’t, sticking to my signature fav’s. But well done in hiring this lady.

£47.50 for cake with dry layers and flawed outer frosting
Picked a cake out on display and the frosting had a large bump sticking out of the cake which ruined the aesthetics.
Sponge was tasty but there was not enough jam filling in the cake and it was uneven.

Our cakes are always held on display at our stores to ensure customers can see and review the cakes before purchasing.
If you are not happy with the finish of a cake on display our store team is happy to discuss if they can help address this or offer an alternative.
