Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

Unprofessional staff that don't care about customer satisfaction
She picked it up with her gloved hands and not the tool you are supposed to use. So she managed to smear icing from other nearby cupcakes on something meant as a present. Two out of four cupcakes for one box were smudged. In the other box she smeared one of the cupcakes.
Very few of the staff members are customer focused at this Lola's cupcake. I have several times been served with a sigh and as if I am an inconvenience. I am done buying at Lola's cupcake in Selfridge's in the Bull Ring Shopping centre.

The Cakes from your childhood
When I was a child I used to read stories that included cakes or tea parties in books and wonder andimagine what those cakes tasted like? Well that's why I now buy cake slices and cup cakes only from Lola's. Wonderful cakes and the staff are so so lovely and give great recommendations so I am always finding new favourites

Far too sweet
Far too sweet, we have to give away all our cake as it was inedibly sweet for us. We paid £160 for our cake for only to give it away.

I am sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion as you found this cake to be too sweet.
This cake does use our buttercream icing, which is an American style buttercream and our sweetest icing option, which can be too sweet for some based on personal preference.
We would suggest you may enjoy our other cakes with cream cheese or mascarpone icings for a more balanced taste, but we understand this would not have been possible with this particular design.
We will be sure to log this feedback with the bakery and product development teams regarding your disappointment with this cake.

Kunafa cake
We had the Kunafa cake, it was so nice!! 10/10. I was unsure because the cakes I usually get are the fruit ones/naked cakes. This was different but perfect in every way. Pistachio Kunafa in the middle and chocolate buttercream. Perfect!

I’ve been ordering from Lolas for 5 years now and onnest I couldn’t recommend them enough family and friends are now using Lolas for cake and cupcakes after tasting and seeing my kids birthday cakes my little girl who sadly passed away 6 years ago Lolas always been there for me by doing a great job on her cake see you guys soon for another on the 25.7 2025

Great tasting cake and looked exactly…
Great tasting cake and looked exactly like the picture. My sister loved the cake. We added a topper. We would definitely order again from Lola’s. Communication regarding availability of the cake on the day was excellent and in store customer service was excellent (Selfridges Birmingham).
Only negative is the delivery costs, hence why we collected in store. Also for NHS colleagues you can receive 10% off if you email proof of NHS employability.

Lola's for the office
Lolas cupcakes supplied Pride cupcakes to our office for international Pride month, and they were the best cupcakes we've had so far! Ordered online with a collection date for the week after, had an email on the date that the cupcake were ready to collect and it was completely seemless.
Ordered 18 cupcakes and they all went down a treat!
