Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

I went to collect my birthday freebies…
I went to collect my birthday freebies cake. The Victoria sponge cake with fresh fruit on top strawberry, blueberries and raspberry. When I was cutting the cake I've noticed one raspberry colour was changed when I looked deeply the raspberry was mouldy.

Absolute joke of a business.
Absolute joke of a business.
Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter from Lola’s. big mistake!
Turned up to collect it, left my phone at home. Gave them every single detail:
• Full name
• Order info
• Personalised message on the cake
• Pick-up time etc…
They refused to hand it over. The store was closing, and they couldn’t care less.
Staff (Eastern European and Filipino ladies on shift) were cold, rude and unhelpful.
Couldn’t even confirm if I’d get a refund if it wasn’t collected. Instead, offered to keep the cake for two extra days-because who delays a kid’s birthday party for fun?
Contacted head office, even worse.
• Wouldn’t escalate
• No case number
• Didn’t care
When my husband finally collected it, the cake was awful.
Dry, stale sponge smothered in cheap icing sugar.
Never again.
Plenty of better bakeries in London. Save your money and your sanity.

The first note that we list in your order confirmation email is that at least one of the following are required to collect your order:
- Copy of [your order confirmation email]
- ID that matches the name on the order
- Credit/Debit card matching the name on the order
Sadly, none of these important verification steps could be taken and our store was unable to allow you to collect this order.
These measures are in place to protect our customer's orders and to prevent against fraudulent activity at our stores.

Excellent service and cake!
The website was easy to use. I was able to order exactly what I wanted (a red velvet birthday cake), and there was a choice of sizes.
I was able to have the cake personalised and I was pleased with the cost of the cake.

A kind of Victoria Sponge
A pretty cake and decent size. My only critique is we ordered a Victoria sponge and the cream tasted more like frosting and so was a little disappointing. Looks like a Victoria sponge, but it’s frosting not cream - just something to be mindful of!

Our Victoria Sponge cakes do have a Cream Cheese icing as an alternative, we do note this in the description to let us customers know before buying.

Lola's cupcakes are the best
Lola's cupcakes are the best. The cakes are moist and rich! Amazing. I usually order online and choose the click and collect option which I did more recently and it was so yummy! The box comes with a handle now. Before going home, I met a friend for dinner on the other side of London but when I got home the cake was still very securely in the box with no damage!
