As a first time buyer I had a terrible experience with them, 0 transparency or communication throughout the process. My solicitor literally realized 2 days before contract signing that I'm buying 40% from a shared ownership, not 25%. After buying I thought at least I won't have to deal with them anymore but now the housing association is trying to make me pay for utility bills and service charges for a period I haven't even lived there yet and they are saying my solicitor should have sorted this out and include it in the contracts. It's been about a year that I'm keep following up with this solicitor to see if she made a mistake or if she can help correct it, not even a 1 reply to all my emails and calls. I even sent an email to the company itself to see if this woman still works there - no reply. Absolutely disgraceful and incompetent solicitor, avoid at all cost.

I had a positive experience. Luke, Priya, and Guzala were consistently available to address my questions and offer assistance. I highly recommend their services. The app they use for submitting KYC documents and conducting due diligence is efficient and greatly streamlined the process. Excellent job!

Very unprofessional service. Respond time is ok-ish, but they have the worst transparency that I have ever seen. They don’t care to explain how everything works despite I asked multiple times. I was not able to get professional advice and straight answers for ALL of my questions. I also had no clue of what was the next step of the conveyance. They always ignore my request and question. My interest is not protected at all. Now I’m about to be homeless because they don’t tell me anything about the next step. I’ll either lose the property to extend my current rental contract or risk waiting for completion to happen within a week

Nazish is very professional, approachable responsive, and supportive. I have to praise her expertise and attention to detail that made my process smooth and stress-free. Not once was my interests were ignored, instead it was protected.

My advice to first time buyers is to have a little patience! legal practice cannot be exercised immediately as the process can be time consuming. Also not all clients process can be compared but it’s also unjust to make such statements.

However, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Nazish. I am very happy with the service she provided me and my partner.

Many thanks for helping us finalize your transaction quickly. Lukk Gatt and the team were always available, extremely kind and answered every one of our questions thoroughly. The process was smooth and communication was easy, they also responded extremely quickly to each of our emails and to each of our calls. Luke also called me to give me an update on every step we took and every stumbling block we had.

I used them for the purchase of my first house (demanded by the developer). Very unprofessional company.

Issues I faced:
- No one bothered to explain the full process or the next steps after each step.
- Misspelled my name on almost all documents.
- Sent email with 24 documents with unclear names and an instruction to 'sign the contract' while there was nothing that was labelled 'contract'.
- No clear instructions in general: 'document needs to be signed by witness', but no instructions on what information the witness needs to provide.
- Said some documents were still outstanding while I'd actually sent them a week earlier (they apparently had misplaced them).

I do not recommend A JLO and will not use them in the future.

Documentations are not up to standard.
Got a few serious mistake wrong in the documents for my property purchase. Stamp duty option, address of property on contract and my name on Land Transaction Return.

I am having very bad experience with Alexander JLO. They are uncommunicative and the process takes ages.
I am a first time buyer and I am looking to resell the property. Nazish and her team are the worst. They are not supportive or willing to explain things, I have to do all the research to understand the buyer's solicitor needs. I feel like they ignore me and don't care about my interests. I feel lost, I don't know what to do anymore since they are very slow with every answer and I'm paying the rent and mortgage of an empty apartment.
I would not recommend this firm and this team.

Pretty awful. Slow, unresponsive, took far too long to review documents, disregarded personal timelines and put the purchase in jepordy. There are better options out there.

They are extremely bad at answering phone calls, emails, even just having the common courtesy to respond to you as a person, every time I phone my case person was always “busy” and even at one point they stop responding to my emails! As a 1st time buyer I didn’t know what to expect and if it wasn’t thanks to a family member who helping me along they way due to his previous experience of first time buying I still would be none the wiser, never experienced a bad customer service in all my life! If I did this in my role I’d be fired by now, the office looks like run by kids, who don’t work in an office and the filing cabinets are over flowing and broken, they also had extremely bad attitude on the phone with scoffing and tutting at me who was only trying to find out what was happening with my mortgage as I hadn’t heard anything from them in over a week! I would never recommended these people to anyone who needs a mortgage! If there was an option for zero stars I would.

I have nothing but praise for Ms Rahat Iqbal for her professional and empathetic handling of my file, in my recent interaction with the firm. Buying a property can often be extremely stressful, and at such times Rahat was there to patiently guide me through the entire process. I will never forget her kindness and I will not hesitate to recommend her and her firm to anyone seeking to buy property.

Notting Hill Genesis advised me to use this firm for shared ownership purchase. As I have very tight timeframe to make a deal I didn't have any better choice: I assumed that the company that prepared documents for all previous buyer in the very same development has all documents ready on their hand and the process would be smother if I went somewhere else. So I decided to go with them even their quote were higher than average on the market.
they really had all documents on their hand, but the hadn't been structured - they just dump everything on you and because all docs are not archived there's 100% chance this important email will go to spam - they are aware about this, however no email that would say to check it
for some reason they sent you the first email that required to prove your identity, however identity verification as it turned out later is done via 3rd party company - I figure out this later when we're already running out of time and this caused additional stress.

Moreover initially I though that I have a dedicated solicitor that would be my main point of contact, however - you start to receive emails from other team members and it seems that they haven't been followed the thread of emails you had with your initial point of contact.
All in all impression that this is a factory and they take more clients that they can process with a high quality.
I don't want to think how the process would go if I'd be a first client for a development....

My conclusion - it will work for you if you own the process, constantly pinging people to figure out where you are and what should be done next and this is definitely not correspond their logo that they put out the stress from you ....

When it comes buying a property, please choose Alexander JLO as your Solicitor in order to buy your dream home. They are a fantastic team that prove that they can deliver.

AJLO agreed to pick this up after another solicitor managed to waste precious time. They were great from the get go and helped us complete the transaction. We picked up the keys yesterday and couldn't be happier with their service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Utterly shambolic. Incredibly frustrating & stressful to try to get progress or even a response from them. They are so slow & every time you ring (if anyone bothers to answer), it's someone different who gives conflicting information to the last. I honestly wish I'd never used them & will definitely never use them again. There are much better companies out there. Probably any other company would be better.
And if the Senior Partner spent less time on the Internet and more time making sure the staff were actually getting on with their jobs, maybe it would be better?
