I can not rate London Building control Manchester branch highly enough. We had Joe Dainty oversee a full restoration on our 1965 bungalow. He was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. After hearing lots of horror stories of other building inspectors prior to the project I was vey apprehensive but I can honestly say it was great to have his advice and help just at the end of the line or his visits. I would definitely recommend and use again.

London Building control - Manchester Office - Joe Dainty. Fantastic company to work with and reasonably priced. The difference with Joe especially is any queries you have on site he answers them straight away. Site visit times - When he says he will be there he is there! We have worked on many sites together over the years and i would highly recommend London building control especially Joe!

Excellent company. Very knowledgeable inspectors and the office staff are very responsive on any request. Joe Dainty is especially good. Our company use them at every opportunity.

London Building Control ( Manchester Office ) have been looking after some projects I have been involved in and to be honest I can’t fault them.They keep you informed every step of the way with no hassle and all the support you could ask for unlike local authorities.Joe Dainty who has been the primary point of contact for inspections etc is really knowledgeable polite courteous and and above all friendly on site visits with contractors and customers can’t recommend him and the company enough thank you very much all involved

They came for inspections several times and all was fine. Then in August there was a delay because they were on holiday. In September, in the morning of the scheduled inspection, no one showed up in the morning — only after I called was I told someone else would come.

The new inspector raised issues not relevant to the current stage. When I called their operations manager, Michael, he said: “You will need another building control company.”

After all the time and cooperation on my side, this is unprofessional and unacceptable.

Shahzad Ahktar was brilliant. From the start and all the way through he was a really insightful, reassuring partner, helping me navigate my first building work. I really appreciated how responsive he was, and that he went out of his way to help. I'd absolutely recommend Shaz and London Building Control.

We used the Exeter arm and as novices converting a run down commercial property in need of guidance, we found them (Jamie Wright) really helpful. They turned up on time and any suggestions / requirements they put forward were explained clearly and made sense.

London Building Control Limited has been reliable for building inspections and plan checks. Inspectors like Gordon Stagg and Phil Marsh are professional and knowledgeable. Over the years, their service has been helpful, but there’s still room for improvement, such as consistency in response times. A decent service overall with a few areas to refine. ***

London Building Control have been a highly professional service in relation to Building Control and insightful seminars to assist with CPD requirements.

Excellent body of professional individuals who provide accurate guidance and support and are up to date and knowledgeable with all current legislation - I have had dealings with them for over 15 years and have never been let down - highly recommended

Really helpful advice and support throughout the process. Very prompt and professional service.

Looking at other reviews, sadly, it seems I drew the short straw with L Stepniewski as my surveyor. I found him to be surly, bad mannered, unhelpful and unreliable in answering email and keeping to appointment times. I was shocked by his inspection technique which consisted of arriving at the door, failing to introduce himself, rushing to see the work, barely exchanging a word about it and rushing out. 4/5 minutes max. I've always used local authrity building control before and found them pleasant and unfailingly helpful. Based on my experience I cannont recommend LBC.

Highly recommend London Building Control and especially Shahzad who was the inspector assigned to us from LBC. Shahzad was fantastic, polite and happy vibe (which one needs when you're in a build) with great communications with his vast build knowledge which in turn gave us the reassurance (text, calls and emails) throughout the whole process, really straight up about our build and communicating with our builder (Sotir who was also great) and making sure everything was working to the plan drawings. Thanks very much LBC and Shahzad. Top chap and top service.

Cowboy Company - Please, please, please avoid. They are extremely dismissive, rude and unhelpful. They are the slowest company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Do not answer emails, phone calls etc. Absolutely rubbish and am having to take then to court to get my money back!
