£249 to get me in the door for a 4 min…

£249 to get me in the door for a 4 min consultation to tell me what i already knew. Then give me a price of £1899 to to do the procedure. Feel absolutely ripped off. I left and have found somewhere much cheaper than if i had paid there extortionate rates. They get you in the door with from 249 advertisement and then give you a slap in the face for your efforts

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service. Dermatologist was rude, disinterested and very unfriendly.

The "Consultation" lasted barely 5 minutes and cost me £195 and taught me nothing I didn't already know.

I left feeling really cheated and ripped off and actually had to shed a few tears I felt so disrespected.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE

Harley Street Healthcare (London Dermatology Clinics)

My entire experience with Harley Street Healthcare (London Dermatology Clinics) has been one that is professional and top notch. It was easy to book a consultation and with their effective and efficient service, I was able to have my procedure carried out the same day. I am grateful to the entire team of doctors and staff at the Clinic but a special thanks has to go to Johnny, Sidra and Jay for their hospitality and care.

I came to this clinic this evening, saw Dr Charakida. She was absolutely fantastic. I am extremely happy with my consultation and also my results post surgery. Jony the nurse was very friendly. Shakeela, Jumaima and Sidra were also very very helpful and caring. I do recommend this clinic highly

Dr Charakida was BRILLIANT

I attended an appointment today with this clinic and have to say that the doctor Ciara Ciara was so great she was able to diagnose me efficiently correctly and to give me a effective treatment plan I highly recommend this doctor and wouldn’t go anywhere else for and dermatological issues that I may have. Extremely pleased thank you so much to all the staff in the clinic.

I am absolutely gutted and furious. PLEASE do not go here.

PLEASE Please don’t believe it’s £249. It’s not. A mole for the face is £999…?! I went and had a chat with a doctor who then said I’d be charged DOUBLE initially because they were going to send my mole off to get checked… so I said okay because I was taken aback. Then I was sent into another room with someone who wasn’t a doctor lol and she then proceeded to get out a price sheet and say ‘so because it’s on the face you’ll be paying £999 today’. WHAT?! So I said I couldn’t pay that and she said okay well we still need to charge you £249 for the ‘consultation’ HAHAHAHA I am so so so angry. Horrible. Can’t believe they’re getting away with being in business in broad daylight. I am absolutely gutted. Do NOT go to them.

The fastest service!

Dr Charakida was amazing. I had my consult and the removal was done within 15 minutes! I’d had a previous removal just under my eye that was botched, for lack of a better term, and needed a proper surgical removal. I felt totally reassured and can’t believe how quick the process was.
It’s definitely Harley street prices so quite expensive, but I think you get what you pay for and the removal was on my face so understandably cost more.
I’d definitely go back as I felt like I was in safe hands and the whole team were very friendly.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID

I called the clinic before the first consultation, to make sure that the dermatologist that was going to visit me holds consultant status (necessary condition to receive a refund from my health insurance ), and they assured me that all their dermatologists are consultants. It turns out that this is a FALSE statement, as after my consultation my insurance notified me that the dermatologist who visited me is not a registered consultant and therefore they could not repay me. I tried calling the clinic around 7 times over the course of 3 weeks, to ask for a refund explaining the situation and how they lied to me. Every time I called, the several people I spoke with gave me some excuse, saying that either they were too busy or they needed to talk to a manager. My advise is to ABSOLUTELY go to another clinic and, before doing that, make sure that the dermatologist who is going to visit you is a registered consultant on the medical register (which you can find on the GMC website). In addition to all of this, when I started digging more details on the clinic, it turns out that on the CQC website (the independent regulator of health and social care in England) the clinic has an INADEQUATE score: from the CQC report, these are the areas they should improve
"• The provider should assess, monitor, and mitigate the risks relating to the health, safety, and welfare of staff. They should ensure staff personal risk assessments are conducted and recorded on a regular basis.
• The service should consider reviewing consent documents to ensure full information on photographs taking, use,
storage, and retention period is provided to patients"

Terrible - I would NOT recommend.

I went for an initial surgical consultation for a lipoma removal. The website states that it’s starts from £295 with a very vague and unspecific disclaimer of “Please note prices depend on the complexity of the procedure and will be determined at your consultation”.
I arrived promptly on time for my consultation in which the dermatologist saw me 45 minutes late without an apology and this is supposed to be private healthcare.
At my consultation, the doctor firstly insists I have scans/investigations despite explaining I have already had this checked by a GP and therefore the diagnosis is very clear and therefore further scans were not warranted. The manager pulls open a book revealing a more in-depth price breakdown according to very specific and clearly defined x-y measurement/size of the lipoma. This full breakdown of the cost is not advertised on their website. This is misleading as I was forced to pay a large initial consultation fee for a 5 minute chat (45min late), despite not knowing beforehand through a lack of transparency that the surgical procedure would not be financially feasible for me and therefore wasting my money and time on an initial consultation.
If it was transparent from the start that the price is dependent on a size measurement then it helps patients to make an informed decision on affordability and not bother or waste their money with an initial consultation.
I saw Dr Ramia Mokbel. To make things worse, she did measure my Lipoma. Instead, she brought in the manager into the consultation room to measure the Lipoma In order to give me the price breakdown. It is not clear to me if the manager was clinically qualified to do this and I do not understand why a clinically qualified doctor did not do this instead. She only palpated my lipoma then insisted the manager to measure them for a costs analysis for a surgical removal.
The website should give a clearer indication of the price range. It’s only states on the website that the prices start from £295. At my consultation, it was revealed to be approximately £4,500.
I had tried to explore local options by calling the clinic several times and requesting a call back from a manager. I was informed by an assistant over the phone that a manager will call me back by the end of the day. Unfortunately I had waited till 9PM and did not receive a call back, despite chasing up several times throughout the day.
The very next day I spoke to an administrative staff named Usuf. I expressed my concern on not being able to receive a call back from management. He Informed me that a manager is working today in the clinc and forwarded me a number to call the manager but warned me that they may not pick up calls today because it is a Sunday, despite working and advertising on Google that they are open on a Sunday. I called the number provided several times; however there was no response. I decided to waste a journey by travelling into the clinc; only to find out once I arrived that no members of staff were available, which is contrary to what Usuf had advised me. I later called him back, and he had denied advising me about the above. I had to call him back using a mobile phone from a member of staff of a neighbouring bloods investigation department/service because my calls were no longer connecting with him, which suggests he may have blocked my number. Terrible service.

Terrible service, lack of contact!

I had a potentially cancerous mole removed 4 weeks ago and have heard NOTHING since!
I have called every day for the past 2 weeks with no response.
After paying £1000+ for this service, you would think that I would get better treatment. But apparently not.
This company will gladly take your money and then fall off the face of the planet.

*AVOID AT ALL COSTS*

Very pleased with the efficiency and quality

Very pleased with the efficiency of the service, in my case getting a biopsy done during my first consultation (instead of having to get a second appointment time with a long wait time). Also the quality of the service seems excellent - Dr Assim was very professional and thoughtful by e.g. explaining what she was doing and answered to all my questions. Also Sidra in the reception was really helpful. Generally very positive and client-oriented service and perfect for busy professionals like myself who want to get good private care quickly
