Communication was good and thankfully, everything went smoothly. Two things to know: 1, they ship direct from China, so just be ready to wait longer than some online buys. 2, I’m not sure if I just... See more

The offline in person size fitting, online purchase and delivery experience is seemless and hustle free. Soft inner sole support and inner liner is perfect for all day activities with or without socks. It’s super space friendlu to fit in a luggage too. Super delighted with this product and highly recommend

My feet were always eager to fit in a better fitting shoe, finally got the Flow S Carbon and it fit really really well after getting some guidance and advice from staff about how to go about picking your first barefoot shoe.
Been using it primarily for strength days, and every now and then would wear them for short outings.
Has opened up my world with wide toe shoes and now unable to go back to the traditional narrow sneaker toe box shapes.
An added benefit is that the Flow S is plant based and environmentally conscious!

I originally came across Lono during the AllBirds heyday, thought they were similar and decided to give them a try. Over time I found myself preferring the Lonos over my AllBirds. The first pair I got are still going strong after years of constant wear, they lasted through some extensive trips, hikes and runs.
Funny enough I discovered barefoot shoes and later saw that Lono started making them as well and was excited to give them a shot. I picked up the Outdoor Trail Hiking shoe and it's been awesome, perfect for the all weather hikes. Once my other barefoot pair wears out I'll be picking up the workout shoes from Lono.
Overall I've been happy with the quality and have even gifted pairs to friends who where getting into barefoot footwear and they also loved them!

I ordered my shoes based on the guide on the website. Unfortunately, they were too big. I started a return, and it took over a week to get the exchange confirmed because you have to send them pictures of the shoes and wait for them to confirm that they will accept them. This is all done over email, with responses sometimes taking up to 2 days from the Lono customer service. While I waited for exchange approval, the size I wanted to exchange for sold out. I decided to wait for the next batch, which was about 3 weeks from the ship date that customer service told me and was on the website. I mailed the pair that didn't fit to their California warehouse, which cost $22. Once they received those, I had to pay for the $18 shipping cost for the new pair from China ($40 to exchange). A month passed (1 week more than the ship date on the website), and I received no shipping details from the company. I replied to our old email chain on July 4th and 5th and received no response. Today is July 10th, which is 16 days after the shoes should have shipped. I emailed them directly on their website yesterday and also this morning. The customer service isn't there for this company. If the shoes fit you, great, but then I'm not sure about the quality, so you have to sort that out. If your shoes do not fit, you pay the return and shipping costs, and have to deal with all the nuances of the lack of customer service. I will be reaching out to my credit card company today to seek a refund. I wanted to give this company a try, but this was a huge waste of time. It makes me skeptical of all the glowing YouTube reviews from barefoot influencers. Recap: Over a week to return a product via email. $40 to exchange and ship directly to consumer from China. No email 2 weeks after the product was anticipated to ship. The company has not answered emails from over a week ago on when the product will ship. Overall, a bad experience.
Where to begin. Shoes took ages to arrive. They arrived in a package that looked like it was thrown together and like something I’d bought on eBay rather than a professional company!
I was looking for a more affordable Vivobarefoot shoe, and, you get what you pay for. The shoes were not wide as promised. The seem in the front catches on the inside on my toe nail making them uncomfortable and annoying. I tried three shoes. Not great on any.
But then we get to the customer services which was TERRIBLE. I went through the returns process and filled in the details on their website, selecting the shoes and reasons for return. I received an email saying my return request was being processed from a Lonowear email. A week went by. Nothing. I emailed them. 4 days went by. Finally got an email and they said it had appeared I’d made the return request through the shopify account. This was not true as I’d done it through their website and in any count, why should I be able to go through that process if they don’t allow you to do so with a return request submitted email? They were patronising and stated it was obvious.
I went through the returns process at the link they sent, which was weird as to submit the return I had to send a photo of the returns label rather than requesting a return. I also had to pay for returns, which in this day and age is insane. And the return address was very well hidden. It’s really like they are trying to make you give up and not return them.
Went I went through this process and paid for my return, it stated “Ship with any courier of your choice (Free)”. I don’t know how you interpret that, but I understand that if I ship with a courier of my choice, the shipping is free, right? No. On emailing them again they stated “our Return and Exchange policy is very clear on this topic. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs” “The screenshot you have shown relates to the 'Cost of Return', which is the fee that some companies apply for restocking shoes.” I’ve never incurred a restocking fee for shoes and it clearly states “ship” “courier” “free”. Nothing about restocking.
Do not waste your time on this cheap product, unprofessional, patronising, poor service, no customer care company.

Very nice quality (vs another brand of barefoot shoes I bought via IG) and super comfortable. The material of the shoes hugs my feet very well, I now wear them on daily basis after a transition period of around 2 months.

The shoes itself look durable and nicely made. The customer service was horrible. I bought according to the sizing chart and my usual size, however the shoes were too big. At first when I went to the return website, it said I am not eligible for a refund even though I was in my 14 day window. Getting a response from them via email was very stressful, they responded within 2 days the least. Once I received an email from them it took another 3 emails to get through a bot that would just send me back to the same website that doesn't work or offer a discount on an exchange. Finally I was able to get to a representative via email. Most places offer you a pre-paid label when returning things, but for this one it required a photo of the shipping label to process the refund, so basically now you are paying out of pocket to return them. Maybe if they distributed to stores they would avoid upset customers and returns due to innacurate sizing.

Do not buy from them. They do not care about their customers.
I bought my first pair the wrong size. I tried to EXCHANGE them (not return!) at day 15. Returns ended at 14days which they regrettable informed me after thanking me for my support.
Don’t waste your money. I spent £70 on a pair that were far too big. The company agreed to an exchange as long as I covered the cost of shipping, so I sent them back to their Glasgow warehouse about five weeks ago, just before Christmas. The last email I received from them asked whether I had taken a picture of the soles, which was never requested until I was done returning the shoes. I’ve emailed them twice since but have had no response, so now I'm £70 out of pocket with no shoes to show for it. The company are clearly a bunch of cowboys with zero concern for their customers. Plenty of reputable shoe brands out there. Stick to those instead!

Extremely poor customer service.
I received the shoe and it was one size bigger, and this was after consultation with their so-called support to help you advice on best fit. Tried it on, it was too large. Wrote to them to exchange, but was told that we have to absorb the shipping fees. Asked if this can be waived. No replies from them and totally ignored this request.
I wrote another email to them to say that since they did not reply and seemingly not keen to attend to my exchange request, i'd request for a return instead to get my money back. They only replied to this email without addressing my earlier point.
I am about to return, but reading from other negative posts, I am not sure if I should do it because they might not even process it.
I would rather go for any other brands with good customer service and pay slightly more than having to deal with such poor customer service. Totally avoid Lono.

Nice comfy shoes - horrible returns/exchange policy that ends up feeling like a scam :(
Bought three pairs. Wanted to exchange one for a larger size and return the other two. Followed the various complicated steps for a return (which was a hassle).
Sent two pairs back, waiting for permission to send back a third - zero response for over a month.
Like another reviewer on here I feel like I have paid for shoes but have none.
I would avoid.

So far I've bought 6 pairs of Lono's. 2 for myself, 3 for others and 1 pair that didn't fit and needed refunding or exchanging.
I'll try and keep this review simple but useful!
First 2 pairs - Perfect. From measuring feet to ordering to receiving, everything went really well for us.
Second 2 pairs - Almost perfect, the ONLY issue was my sisters didn't fit so we needed to exchange them.
After contacting Lono and already understanding there would be return shipping fees etc they came up with, for me, a great solution.
"Sell or gift the pair that don't fit to spread the Lono word and here's a code for discount of the next pair and free shipping."
Now I get it, some people would want something more or different but I was stoked with that.
So I sold the other pair for basically what I bought them for and then used the discount code to get 2 more pairs with free shipping.
All in all, great communication and for me, awesome result.
The shoes themselves fit incredibly well with or without socks and the knit sides means my wide shrek feet can open out properly!
I really do rate these shoes and for the money they blow others out of the water, especially in comparison with Vivo's, yes they're awesome BUT ridiculously expensive for what they are - just my opinion don't have a cry about it ;).
So there you go.
Buy Lono's.
They're mad.
Comfy as F and the service for me, has been great across every order so far.
Love 'em.

Shoes are cheaper than Vivo but not worth it:
1) terrible customer service. The shoes I ordered are one size too big and I haven’t been able to exchange them.
2) exchange requires a complicated series of sending photos and shipping slips so the company can send an exchange code. I’ve shipped the shoes back and haven’t received an exchange code. They’ve basically taken my money and I’ve got no shoes. I’ll probably have to file a dispute with my credit card.
3) because shipping isn’t covered, I’ve paid $30 for extra shipping costs including the return. Shipping costs add up plus the headache of dealing with a non-responsive customer service.
Thought these might be a good, cost effective alternative to Vivo but the lower price point also comes with bad customer service so not worth it at all.

One of the best shoes I have tried ever. Bought these shoes, 7 days ago, and they are just great for both running, and training in the gym.
At first you can feel your feet having to get used to the fact that you aren't getting as much support, but it feels more strengthening than painfull.
All in all great product would recommend, especially if you have bunions like me, then the wide toebox helps a lot and they are so comfortable as well.
