Used to be great and I invested in a paid package but recently just a nightmare! Creating a 'new video' doesn't seem possible, it's virtually impossible to open up a new window (as the camera functio... See more

Doesn't work
At first (2 weeks) it worked great. Now it doesn't work at all, when I record a something the video and the audio don't match, the audio is delayed by 2-3 secs. I know it's not my computer (just bought it and it's the biggest capacity M3 Apple Air). I have the paid subscription.
I've tried everything, still doesn't work.

I have to uninstall and reinstall every day
It is great when it works BUT to make it work, I have to uninstall and reinstall every day... technical support tried to fix the issue but then just stopped helping me.
You lost a user after a year of use.
I installed Loom because it was suggested by a colleague. Initially I was happy seeing it's usefulness but then I realised that the use case is not that frequent. But seems like the "Loom team" overestimates the value they provide. Eventually over months, what I observed is that Loom is always active and almost daily, they take over the screen because they need to update something. Doesn't matter if I am working or if I am watching something, it takes over the screen and takes me to the opening screen, asks for password and then vanishes. This leaves a very very bad taste. And it's so bad that I actually deleted it first, then went to terminal to delete all the associated files and then I am here to leave a bad review. A suggestion for the "Loom team": you are overestimating your use case and even if you have a use case to update then do so in the background like every other app installed. I would give a negative 5 rating if I had an option as of now.
Meeting Recap with AI is fantastic
I have been a happy Loom user for years, as it is easy to use with the right amount of options - I share short video clips for training on how to use software. Now I added the automated meeting recording with AI-generated recap and I am blown away by the usefulness, accuracy, and helpful tone of the meeting notes! They are emailed to you right away, are way better than a trained human could do at that task, and keeps me from fretting about taking and keeping good notes.
They were charging me 2x for one plan!
Absolute trash software
Absolute trash software and even worse customer support. I have been using Loom for maybe 2 years, and most of that time has been spent troubleshooting various issues. No matter how many times I set my browser settings to allow the microphone and camera, it does not stop the error popup telling me I need to change these settings. I have sent countless videos to clients with this annoying pop-up simply because I am so fed up with troubleshooting it.
For an app that is supposed to save you time, it does nothing of the sort. Garbage software, garbage support. I will be moving to an alternative immediately. I also hope that everyone moving forward who has a problem with this pos software shares their experience on G2 as I will, because miraculously they have a 5 star rating on there.
Great customer support!
Their customer support was able to solve my issues super fast. They really accommodated some resources to help me even though they knew I was cancelling my membership.
I had to cancel cause of financial reasons, but will definitely prioritise re-enrolling as the customer suport was exceptional and that's all you want on top of a great software
SCAM
This business is the absolute worst.
I had a company email registered to an account. Unfortunately the business closed and disabled the business emails so I no longer had access to it and was unable to login to loom because I had used the gmail account to connect to the service.
I emailed this company on multiple occasions and have NEVER gotten any response from their support group. Meanwhile they have continued to take $15 from my account every single month.
This is the absolute worst business I have ever had to deal with.
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT.
It was a little hard to figure out how to use. But when we attempted several times to cancel the website confirmed cancelation but kept charging our credit card. over and over..... Finally we had to call our credit cards company to put a block on them. As you might imagine that takes time......

its sound like scam ?
I honestly believe that this is the…
I honestly believe that this is the single worst piece of software that I have ever experienced.
I cannot for the life of me imagine why anyone would believe this software solves anything in their life.
I would estimate that 50% of the 100+ videos I have watched on Loom have cut out before they reached the end. And then the simply won't load.
If you try and seek in the video timeline, it will just crash and leave you with a loading animation until the day you die.
When you load a video you have to click play 2-4 times, before the video actually starts.
I can't imagine how anyone would write a web application that is this unstable, buggy and un-user-friendly.
It's absolute garbage... To the point where I actually spend valuable time writing this review.
I love Loom
I love Loom! It saves me so many meeting hours it's ridic!
Saw a comment somewhere that your team is affectionately known as Loommates? Loomminati is way radder IMO ;-)

I use Loom at work on daily basis and it is a lifesaver! It have occasional crush but experience overall is amazing and saves so much time in correspondence with our customers and colleagues.
One thing though - I heard a rumor that Loom employers are called Loommates - it is cute, but... did you consider Loomminati? It is so much cooler you guys!
Hugs!
Clients can't download your videos unless they have a paid account.
The desktop app is atrocious for all the reasons folks have already mentioned. The online interface is not super intuitive and their folder management is jumpy and doesn't behave in a way that any person with logic would expect. I have to click "show more" 3-4 times in the same folder to find a client folder sometimes (and it's not even alphabetical). But what really frustrates me the most, is that my clients can't download videos without paying $15 a month. Okay, signing up for a free account to download, is reasonable. But a paid account is insanity. This makes this tool useless for me. Loom had the opportunity to introduce themselves to 80+ people through my account, but instead, I'll be cancelling. I was going to reach out to their support about it but as they've given me know way to do that, I'll just put it here instead.
The desktop app is junk
The desktop app is junk. It doesn't work. It constantly asks to connect after I have already signed in, but it never signed me in in the first place. However, it said it did.
The Android app records great, but you can either keep the recording tools on the screen while recording and get the recording tools in the video or turn it off. If you turn it off, the video still records while you try to find the controls to stop the recording.
The app glitches when trying to sign in, and the video doesn't automatically populate after you record it. You have to force-close the app, then open it again, and the video will be there.
You cannot use the software since the app and desktop app have sign-in and sync issues. Making this a waste of time.
Don't waste your time paying for this. All these companies have good demos, but the actual product doesn't work.
It reminds me of Netflix with the buffer on the Tyson fight. Pure garbage.
Really bad.
Do not waste your time!!!!!
This is one of the worst things i have used. would not connect to my mic which everything i do on a day to day basis does. Kept giving me a pop up mid recording everytime i would click telling me my mic is not connected even after dozens and dozens of times i have pressed "proceed anyway" the most frustrating thing to use.
Doom Gloom and Loom
The service and support from the team is really disappointing - and I am left with no solution or work around.
After back and forth emails to try and resolve and issue, they refuse to get on a physical call and help resolve the issue - and keep referring to FAQs, trouble shooting.
Anybody else have a better option - what I though was once a great platform, has left me very uneasy!
Removed plan features to pressure an upgrade
Grift product that removed functionality from a paid tier, now requiring that you upgrade to a more expensive tier to get the same features you were already paying for.
Like it's no big deal, no explanation, nothing. Avoid these scammers and their product. Not recommended.
