Lovable is dead.

I think that as the barrier to vibe coding keeps getting lower, more and more people will no longer need products like Lovable, and will instead shift toward more professional tools like Claude Code and Cursor.

Initially I was obsessed with lovable

Initially I was obsessed with lovable. I created multiple sites and loved how easy it was to build. I had also referred 5-10 friends and family and was a huge supporter of their business.

I finally got a project to work and was building a decent size user base. As the user base grew i noticed i kept getting billed $20 frequently and got the point where I got billed up $100 a day in cloud storage. That doesn't even include the AI credit I kept buying.

I reached out to their support team saying I couldn't afford this and it wasn't scalable if they can instruct me on how to get this cost down. I followed up with them daily because I straight up couldn't afford the growing cost but at the same time I had to keep paying it because there was over 400 user actively using it.

After about a week I had to figure out how to migrate off since they wouldn't reply to me. I ended up hiring a freelancer who figured out a way to to migrate my project to my own servers.

It's been around 3 weeks and still haven't heard back from them. I'm also not the type to leave bad reviews but it really sucks cause I loved them!

I do want to mention that it's also my fault for not knowing much and the control they would have over me. I'm not a developer and was vibe coding everything.

For those vibe coders building on their platform I recommend not going the easy route and using lovable cloud. If you get something to work they will make it very hard to move off their platform.

Hi team,

Hi team,

Quick review from someone who builds apps professionally:

Lovable is the fastest path I've found from idea to a real, live product. As someone who works across Bubble, FlutterFlow, Supabase, and Python, I was skeptical — but the quality of output and the speed genuinely surprised me.

Getting the "first visitor" email was a great moment. It's proof the product works.

Highly recommend it to any builder who wants to move fast without sacrificing quality.

Thanks for building something worth using.

Amazing

It’s amazing, got some bureaucracy when it comes to specific features that I tried to put on the website, but it’s still great, some of the best vibecoding tools out there.

Disgusting

Disgusting. I’ve been wasting money on fixing bugs that lovable creates. The problem is that it still won’t fix them. I have to tell several times what’s the issue, what to fix and ut still fails. But these bug fixes, that itself creates cost money.

Starts off great, then such a nightmare

Starts off great, but then it becomes honestly a nightmare. Constantly asking the same question that costs credits (=money!) for the most basic corrections and even random mistakes it makes. Just designing or finetuning an existing website cost me $50 in one week. Such a disaster, now trying to move the site to squarespace which means rebuilding the whole thing. Such a nightmare.

Lovable is shit

Lovable is shit. I thought I have found the AI to use. Only for me to subscribe and lovable starts messing up.
I make visual edits, it wont reflect but my credits keep going.
I am so frustrated and angry. I have a community of over 1000 people and counting because I am an AI coach. I cant believe this is what I have been recommending to my students.

"STARTING LIVE PREVIEW" Bug - BEWARE

If we have to see this message again we are gonna throw up: "STARTING LIVE PREVIEW"

We've been building a site for a couple months and dealing with this bug ad nauseam. They promise it's fixed, then it's back. Losing hours of work time a day on this bug in their system. System just spins and won't work.

Finally something simple that works!

Finally a solution to build something without having to hire someone. Way easier than replit and other LLM's I have tried. I am an iD10t so kudos to making it so someone with my level of technical acumen or lack thereof can actually build something. The ability to buy the url and host here without the need of skill to upload to godaddy was HUGE also. Thank you!

I am doing a follow-up because I want…

I am doing a follow-up because I want people to pay attention. I left my authentic experience with Lovable, and I am truly disappointed and broken-hearted by my experience with them. I won't say that all the negative ratings are factual or authentic, because I honestly don't know. However, pay close attention to the 5-star ratings they receive. Look at how they are presented and what they say. They aren't stating anything significant about their experiences with using the site, and others sound like a manipulated version of an advertisement. Also, look at how soon after a negative review they appear. Authenticity in reviews is important—so if you're going to pay people to do 5-star ratings to negate your negative ones -- at least have your staged reviews sound more authentic. You should also let some time pass before having people come and immediately leave reviews. It would also help if the people were verified as well—although that may cost you more. But hey, if you're going to continue of this path of dishonesty, at least be good at it. Have you learned nothing from politicians?

Don't Believe The Hype

There are a lot of videos about this site on YouTube. I thought I would give it a chance. I should have checked here and other real testers of this website, because I maybe wouldn't have been suckered. I also notice there were a lot of reviews removed for this site, which makes it even more of a suspicious website. It's probably because they are paying people to write good reviews about them to keep their ratings high. Please do your research. DON'T USE LOVABLE!! They drain your money, waste your time, and work in the most dishonorable ways. Using this site was one of the worst experiences for me.

Love it!

Its quick and easy to use, even for someone like me with no experience in web building.

I love the planning mode, it lets you plan ahead instead of trial and error every step at the cost of your credits.
