I have purchased a few rugs from here and the service is superb. Prices are very reasonable and the choice is expansive. The colours on the website are so accurate. The rug is as perfect as can be. The perfect finishing touch.

Having read the positive reviews, I was looking forward to receiving my new rug, but I’m very disappointed. I ordered the Matrix MT61 Beige/Brown Rug and received a plain beige/grey chequred rug that looked nothing like the images online. The quality also felt no better than average carpet, so it wasn’t just the wrong item — it wasn’t special in any way.

To make matters worse, after purchasing I was bombarded several times a day with unsolicited sales emails from Love-Rugs.

I’ll be returning it for a refund. This experience has put me off buying rugs online — it’s far less hassle to go to a shop and see and feel what you’re actually buying.

I ordered a rug that, in my home, didn’t match the online photos as closely as they appeared to me on their website.

The look and feel came across as lower quality compared to what I anticipated, especially given the price (£439 before discount), which in my experience has always gotten me a lovely looking rug.

When I contacted customer service to arrange a return, I was encouraged to keep it for a few more days to see if it “settled” or looked better in different lighting/rooms. That may be reasonable advice in some cases, but I think it should be made very clear up front and before this that the returns window is four weeks and that they would not offer flex should I breach this window, despite the Christmas period. In my experience, many online retailers offer much longer to de-risk the online purchase for cases like this.

As a result, the rug is currently rolled up and unused. Based on my experience, I would suggest checking the returns timeframe carefully and, if possible, requesting additional real-life photos or details before ordering and carefully watch the returns window.

UPDATE FOR READERS: the seller claims my review is defamatory. However Trust Pilot checked my review after the seller flagged it to them claiming defamation and falsehood. The seller's claim was rejected.

I haven't been prompted to write this review but think truly exceptional customer service should be recognised. One can only truly judge a company's customer service when a problem arises and how the systems they have in place come into play- this company are truly 5 star. I purchased a rug on Black Friday but had several issues with the courier. Eddie at Love- Rugs dealt with me throughout. There were numerous emails, all responded to in a more than efficient, timely capacity. It was hugely reassuring to deal with the same member of staff. I ended up returning the rug as it didn't quite work with my furniture and again, Eddie arranged a time at my convenience for it to be collected. Best customer service I've had in a long time and I'd absolutely not hesitate to recommend and buy from them again.

I ordered a rug from here and to say it’s completely different from the images is an understatement! I have contacted the company but they say that they cannot see my point! I thought they had changed images but that was my mistake. I found the same rug on rug love website with images that show the rug more clearly. I have shown images to a lot of people and everyone agrees it’s nothing like the images on the website! I know have to send the rug back at my expense of £51 to get a refund. Very poor service and images. Be VERY CAUTIOUS OF WHAT YOU BUY!!!

The carpet is very nice, would like it to have been slightly more solid underneath but it isn't moving on my floor, it's ideal for children as they can play games sitting on the carpet without loosing bits in between pile and it's also soft underfoot. The DHL delivery was good as easy to inform them of changes, it arrived very soon after ordering
