Poor customer service
Royal Mail returned my items to sender saying my delivery address was incorrect. I spoke to an agent on chat to say how urgently I needed my items and confirmed with them that the delivery address was correct. They refused to resend my items until they had spoken to Royal Mail, even though I provided proof that they returned to sender and they could also check for themselves via the tracking number that Royal Mail had sent this back and advised that this could take two business days to receive a response from them. I then phoned hoping to get a better response to the poor customer service I received, who then told me the same, pretty much made me feel like I had lied about my address! This was my first order with this company and now I feel like I’ve been scammed! I told them I wanted a refund but they’ve told me that this will take 3-5 business days. So, instead of just resending my order having confirmed my address is correct with them, and having taken the day off work to wait for my order to be delivered today, they want to inconvenience me further by making me wait 2 business days for a response from Royal Mail (even though I provided proof that it had been returned back to sender and they could’ve checked themselves at that time via the tracking number), or wait 3-5 business days for a refund. The Customer service is non existent - I just wanted my items before I went away on holiday and now it looks like I won’t have my order or my refund in time before going away. The customer service is terrible and has made me lose my trust with them. I just wanted my order to be resent today having proved it had been sent back to sender so I could have it in time for my holiday. The customer shouldn’t have to be inconvenienced due other people’s incompetence. Avoid.

Great company with excellent customer service
The choice of knitting wool is excellent. I have to order from France and delivery is 4 to 5 working days with no customs charges which is very good. The customer services team are very helpful. I couldn't find my order on my account and Maria saw that i had accidently set up a duplicate account. She sorted everything out so quickly, she was very patient and kind and made me feel like a valued customer!

Very impressed with their customer service. My order arrived short of one ball of wool so I contacted customer services and within 3 days I had the wool that I was missing. No long phone call required, just an email to tell them my problem and all sorted.

Subbed the Yarn for another make - beware and check yardage
Made a rookie mistake in that I subbed the make of yarn to be used, and forgot to check the yardage of the sub against the original, so 3/4 of the way through knitting, I ran out of yarn. In a panic, I phoned Customer Care and within a few minutes, my problem was solved by a kind, knowledgeable member of the team. Within 24 hours, my extra yarn is on it's way. The problem was completely mine, I won't make that mistake again but Customer Care ensured I could at least finish the item I was working on and it's a lesson learned. First Class service and my 2nd order is now on it's way! Great company; it was recommended to me by a knitting mad friend and I have no hesitation in passing on that recommendation to anyone from a complete beginner to advanced!

Not so speedy delivery …
I am in UK for a week and need extra wool to take back with me. I ordered it on Thursday and paid for faster evri delivery which delivers within 2 days of dispatch.
On Friday I hadn’t had email saying it had been dispatched so rang customer care who checked for me and said yes it was now marked as dispatched. A few minutes later I got the email saying it was on its way. It’s now Sunday and evri app is telling me they are expecting the parcel but it has not arrived with them yet. They have been saying that since Friday evening. I’m not sure whether the lack of clarity lies with Lovecrafts or evri. Either way I have no idea where the parcel is on its two day journey.

I use them always but I get very frustrated about how often they're out of stock of popular yarns??? I'm halfway through a baby blanket for my soon to arrive grandson and have been waiting for several weeks for paintbox DK white to finish my project, mum is being induced on 26/2/25, I doubt it'll get finished on time now 🙄 I love the products, but the out of stock is the issue for me hence the 3 stars 🙁

A tangled mess of an experience with Lovecrafts.com
I really wanted to love Lovecrafts, but unfortunately, my experience has been more knots than smooth stitches. Here’s the tale of my tangled order:
• I placed an order for some beautiful Malabrigo Rios yarn and paid the hefty $40 duty fee at my local post office.
• Before picking it up, I had a bad feeling (my gut instincts never fail me), so I reached out to customer service. Sadly, their responses were less than helpful.
• When I called, a representative named Mary told me I could refuse the package, but there was a risk I wouldn’t get a refund. This didn’t sit right with me, so I double-checked their FAQ—and it turns out packages refused from Canada are disposed of and not refunded!
• So, I reluctantly picked up the package and discovered two skeins of yarn were missing. I immediately submitted a ticket… and it’s been 3 days with no response. Usually, they respond the next business day, so I’m feeling pretty ignored.
• To add to the frustration, when I started winding the yarn I did receive, three out of six skeins were so tangled that I had to cut them into small pieces, leaving me with a dozen little balls of yarn instead of beautiful skeins.
Honestly, this whole ordeal has been such a hassle. I should have trusted my instincts and ordered from a Canadian website instead! Lesson learned.

After my initial complaint about receiving defective yarn, LoveCrafts finally processed a refund—but only for part of my order, and only after a drawn-out process that should have been simple.
Mary, the US Team Supervisor, was passive aggressive, unhelpful, and dismissive, making it clear that resolving my issue was not a priority. This is not how a reputable company should treat its customers.
While LoveCrafts might have a good selection of yarns, their customer service is lacking in both professionalism and efficiency. If you care about being treated with respect, I’d recommend shopping elsewhere.

I placed an order on Jan 23 from LoveCrafts. The notification of my order's charge from my credit card company was time stamped at 12:01, just past midnight. I received the order confirmation email at 12:07 and noticed that the shipping address was incorrect. I'm not sure if my laptop or something autofilled it or what but it was my old address from about ten years ago. However, the billing address was actually correct on the order. I immediately replied to the email to let them know of the error and that the shipping address should've been the same as the billing address. I also went on their website and submitted a ticket/inquiry. And I figured I would attempt to get a hold of a customer representative in the morning during business hours to follow up on this. By the morning, I had received an email response from LoveCrafts at 7:31 saying that there was nothing they could do and the email had a link to their dedicated page in FAQ basically stating that they absolutely will not deal with wrong address issues.
From a timeline standpoint I don't understand how they couldn't have done anything at all. And the fact that they have a dedicated page on their website regarding this kind of issue just seems concerning to me. Human errors happen sometimes and I admit it's my fault for only catching the error after the order was placed but considering I attempted to bring this to their attention in less than 30 minutes after the error was made it felt like a slap to the face for them to simply say there's nothing they could or would do.
Zero star for customer service and/or shopping experience. Stars not applicable for the yarn products I attempted to purchase. [Note: I even tried reaching out to my old neighbors to see if anyone could help. They had either moved away themselves or didn't know the new people living at my old address.]
