Lovely Skin-Poor customer service!!
Poor customer service!!! I purchased a product that had two parts, a solution and pads. Well, the pads came and the solution did not. I was told my package weighed the amount that would represent both products. I weighed the pads and box.
The weight equaled the weight on the package label. I was told I could send the pads back and they would send complete product. I don't believe I should be inconvenienced for their problem. They told me they would give me credit only. I don't know why they just can't send the solution. I was also told that I could never get a refund or credit again. What a waste of time and money.
Just received my first time order with…
Just received my first time order with Lovely Skin. My order arrived within 3 days of placing it. The packaging was a thick cardboard box with lots of paper padding inside. And the box with my bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap also. Full bottle, brand new sealed box.
Perfect. I was very happy and will definitely order from them again. Free shipping with no minimum and best price I could find.
Half empty bottle
I ordered from lovelySkin many product in a very short period and was sure I found the right company I was wrong my Hyaluronic Acid bottle came half empty brought it to there attention but they wouldn't take responsibility they asked me for pictures I sent it then they asked for some more always Different excuse to replace it I finally took the loss and gave up sad
Love Lovely Skin
My gosh I can hardly believe the negative reviews on this site. I've ordered from Lovely Skin for about 1.5 years now and I LOVE them. They carry the products I like and use and others that frankly I wish I could use but they are too far out of my budget (skinceuticals comes to mind) but I have found them to be extremely responsible when I've had to contact their customer service line, they have free shipping which is huge for me, when I ordered a tube of Jane Iredale lash conditioner that was really just dried up they gladly sent me another tube at no cost to me. I also find their prices, sales, cumulative earning points to be another fabulous customer centered advantage
Will be checking LovelySkin before ordering anywhere else
I ran across the LovelySkin website while searching for a product that had become difficult to find anywhere else. The site said that the product was on backorder but gave an expected date and said that if I ordered it now I could get the sale price (usually can't even find it on sale!) and it would ship (free no minimum!) when it came in. I placed the order. Every week I got an email updating me of the backorder. When the time that it was expected to be filled came it was still not in which they informed me. I decided to go ahead and try another product. I emailed support on a Sunday and got an email right back saying to just let them know what I wanted in its place. I emailed them my choice the next day and it shipped out the same day. I received the package two days later (free and fast...what?!). It was packaged well. My only disappointment was that there were no samples but that is a very small thing! The products that I got are both things I have not tried before and I really like them both. I feel good about buying from a small business rather than the big guys and love that these products are sold by a skincare professional. This is my new go-to for skin care products for sure!
They sell near expired products
Purchased a big tube of sunscreen. Came in with only a few months left to expire. Contacted customer service. They literally said just use more. They also said the product they sent me is the most recent batch they had received. I'm a regular user of the sunscreen brand. Their products always have at least couple of years before they expire. That tells me the manufacturers send their overstock to Lovely Skin.
I am not sure what type of people work…
I am not sure what type of people work there but they have no clue in listening to a customer's concern about a purchase. I placed an order and the original order was lost. After many phone calls to Lively Skin, they finally agreed to send me a replacement order and then they put a tracker on the original order, to see what happened to it. When I looked on the UPS website, it stated that the original order was delivered, after a few days, which I never received. So I called Lively Skin back and let them know that this is an error and I never received the original order. They are just incomprehensible ignorant in what you're telling them and the csr proceeded to tell me that she cannot give me the details on the filing of the claim to UPS. That is not what I called about. I called to tell her that there is an error on the UPS website stating that this order was delivered to me, which it never was, but they don't seem to care, so now I don't care and I'm done with them. BTW, the replacement order that I received of Vanicream soap smells like plastic and I had to toss all three of the soaps out. I will never buy from Lovely Skin again and neither should you.
Reputable-BEST Customer Service
Number one: call KAYLA! Ordering off the site is easy and fast, sure. But nothing beats talking to a person who knows the product. Many times Kayla has recommended a better product – and less expensive! - than I was prepared to buy on the website. Another time, I called her for a recommendation for a daily moisturizer I was ready to buy and she told me one I already had for night that was just as good for day during the spring before it got hot! I trust her implicitly. I would buy anything she recommended and I believe she knows this. But she never takes advantage of that trust and recommends products that are cost-conscious and effective, while always reminding me that I have 30 days to return a product if I don’t see positive results. For the record, since I have been ordering with Kayla these many, many months, I’ve never returned a product. Lovelyskin Is the only place I will order my skin care needs. And Kayla is the only person at lovelyskin from whom I will ever order. The few times I order quick gifts from the website, I always have an easy time doing it. For the record, I use primarily Skinceuticals, which is a relatively expensive skincare line. Lovelyskin is an authorized reseller. All of my products… be it SkinCeuticals, or any other product I’ve ever ordered… Have been packed perfectly and been absolutely fresh. Those who aren’t familiar with good, pure vitamin C serums don’t know that they get darker the more you use them because vitamin C does this naturally when exposed to air. This does not affect its efficacy. It’s just something that happens. One call to lovelyskin customer service (or even a quick google) would’ve taught you this. Perhaps it’s better to do your homework then leave a negative review right off the bat. Also, I’ve never had a product arrive without being wrapped well with bubble wrap in an appropriately -sized box. I’ve never had a damaged product. And while it has taken a few extra days to arrive, that fault has usually been with USPS. I’m not saying this company doesn’t make mistakes. But I am saying that lovelyskin is the type to make right the things that go wrong.
This company does not take…
This company does not take responsibility for their products arriving 2-3 weeks late, rather they make excuses and blame the issue on their carriers. They are very punitive with their customers, as if they are doing you a favor by letting you purchase their products. The slightest perceived infraction will cause them to shut down your account.
Not So Lovely Customer service
Product arrived damaged as it had not been packed properly; no internal packaging. Company replied to initial complaint saying could not view photos. I sent again in two different formats. They have never replied to that nor subsequent emails and direct message on twitter. Meanwhile, they have my money and I have a damaged product. Do not buy from this company.
Terrible USPS shipping
I ordered an expensive but small item on 7 Dec. Lovely Skin's site shows it was shipped on 8 Dec. There is no tracking after 13 Dec. It is now the 19th, & tomorrow is Sunday. That's 2 weeks to ship USPS when they advertise no more than 8 days. Tracking looks like it is sitting in Omaha. Even with Covid, nothing should take this long. I wonder if it was ever shipped. I can't review the product because I haven't received it. But if I ever receive it & like it, I will buy it elsewhere.
Excellent prices
Excellent prices, fast shipping, love the free sample selection with every order. They always have sales too!
FOUL/STALE product HORRIBLE customer service
Bought Juno Sunday Riley product from them 10 months ago. First few months of use was okay. About 3-6 months in and half way through the bottle the face oil started smelling foul/stale like a cheap grocery oil that's gone bad and stale for years. I paid over $60 for this small bottle of oil. At this price range you have certain expectations of performance and um, not expect it to go bad within a few months of use? EVERY single skincare product I buy I use it for at least 6 months to a year.
When I called customer service they were unwilling to help whatsoever bc it was out of the return window time frame. SUPER unhelpful, SUPER degrading and irresponsible for the expensive products they sell that's clearly gone bad.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I am Korean and have a lot of experiences buying high end products (SKii, IOPE, Sisley, Sulwhasoo)
They have very reasonable prices
They have very reasonable prices. I’ve never had issues with their customer service. They also offer coupons and discount codes on many products. I’m a returning customer.
one of my favorite skin care stores
I have been shopping at lovelyskin for 5+ years and have never had an issue. Appreciare their sample program.
Unethical and Penalizes Customers for Negative Reviews
If you value free speech to express your opinions online without reprisal from a business, boycott this unethical business! I previously wrote a negative review about potential concerns I had about this company's handling of negative product reviews after noticing they had not posted a negative product review I wrote and their product reviews appeared to be inflated/skewed toward a higher number of positive reviews when compared to identical products on competitor websites. The company's responded to my review by sending a condescending email censoring me for sharing my negative opinion publicly. They conveyed that they process negative reviews in a different manner than positive reviews. A red flag in my opinion! They then closed my account and took the $67 of rewards I had legitimately earned as a loyal customer who spent over $1200 up until my negative review. This business penalizes customers for writing negative reviews. People who value freedom of speech and the right to express your opinion without fear of reprisal should not patronize this business. In my opinion, this business engages in practices that undermine a free marketplace of unbiased, uncensored reviews. They need to brush up on Public Relations and how to deal with negative reviews in an ethical, productive, and non-punitive manner.
Avoid at all costs.
****After reading this, you will realize that there are other amazing dermatologists and beauty stores to give your money to than LovelySkin.****
1. Dr. Schlessinger, the President and CEO of LovelySkin is one of the cruelest, meanest and rudest individuals I have ever encountered in my whole life. He constantly berates customers and clients in front of employees. This company is not reputable and are known for having terrible customer service and poor quality products.
2. ***Have Dr. Joel Schlessinger, board-certified dermatologist, step down as CEO and President.*** He went to medical school, not business school. He has no idea on how to run a company properly and absolutely clueless on how to treat his customers with any kind of decency. I will admit, he's good at that. But in the end, it doesn't even matter if he is a good dermatologist when he is a ruthless, evil human being.
****Read reviews everywhere online. It's all the same pattern Beware!!!****
LovelySkin.com - Must Shop Web Site
I have been shopping for years with LovelySkin . com. What amazes me is their awesome customer service . They are so highly knowledgeable in the products they sell. Not only that , but they treat their customers like family. They reward customers by sending samples from time to time of products you might want to try and offering a discount on that product . Best of all is their selection and pricing.
The dermatologist who owns the company is often used in clinical testing of skincare which turns out to be a plus for getting the most up to date quality in the newest treatment for skin issues.
You just can't go wrong with selection, quality, pricing, and service.
