After agreeing the sale there was no further contact from the sales department. I had to telephone to check on delivery, book the collection slot and check the collection was actually going ahead.
The caravan had items missing and I was asked to chase up delivery at a future date, the salesman wouldn't be doing this.
We collected the caravan and towed it approximately 10 miles. On the day of our next trip the electrical cables for the mover, which Lowdhams had fitted, were trailing on the ground and could have been when we had left Lowdhams. Luckily we spotted this and were able to safely secure them, although laying on a wet dirty floor to get under the van wasn't a great start to the holiday.

The huddersfield branch service dept is a nightmare. AVOID!!!!
18 months after purchasing a brand new motorhome, we have a motorhome not fit for purpose.
We can only use 4 of the 6 beds.
Paid £350 for service, came back damaged. Not replied to my email or phone calls despite the fact i was upset as i had water leaking through the roof whilst i was packing to go away. They guy who took the call was so apologetic and promised to help me find a solution but never returned my call.
Very rude lady who seemed to be in charge of service made out i was a trouble causer because i had a lot going wrong with it!!!!
Went to collect van from service and found carpets folded on the table , damaged and creased and the floor was flooded with water as they had opened the omnivent then jet washed it.
Didn’t fit the part already ordered 9 months previously under warranty which was sat on the shelf until i complained and asked them to prove it didn’t need it. ( they had already cleaned and replaced the part last October and it hadn’t fixed it) never called to say parts were in.
PDI initially didn’t spot the fact that the gas cooker and grill didn't work.
Everything is a battle , arguing that things aren’t faulty when they are, not returning calls.
The whole process, my dream to own a motorhome has caused me huge un- necessary anxiety.

We took delivery of a new challenger hi style 850x on the 17/7/21.
This has been the best hand over to date from any dealer ship we have had.
Callam took the deal from start to finish and rang to keep us in the loop with any changes.
we had a problem on hand over with the reversing camera not working.
again Callam and one of his fitters tried to fix the problem there and then.
This was not fixed on the day,
however swift and sargent the electrical people swift use were fantastic.
the problem is now fixed with sargents knowledge and expertise and again Callam backed this up from lowdhams.
this is certainly a 10 from me.

This was our first caravan purchase and felt smooth, straightforward and stress free!
Everything was explained clearly and with consideration to the fact we were novices!
Occasionally it was hard to get hold of the salesman but any of our outstanding questions did get answered in the end.
We’d defo buy from here again and highly recommend them!

Main control panel not fitted properly should have been seen cooker igniter not working was a gas test done disappointed I did not see them when we picked the van up small faults but should have been rectified apart from that service we received from Jake was very good marks on front bumper will send photos if required

Huddersfield- Dreadful after sales service. I bought a new van from them but stopped getting it serviced with Lowdens as it came back damaged. The van is now 5 years old and I get it serviced each year by a Swift approved centre. Ive just been advised it needs some warranty work doing for some damp and was advised to go back to Lowdens. What a joke ! First they told me I would have to pay for another damp test by their engineer, specifying the charge was in relation to the time the test would take. When I challenged this and told them the approved service centre had already done one they they said that the payment was to cover the admin associated with processing the warranty claim and so they could ‘re-assess’ the claim? Since when do you pay for any labour or parts that are in relation to warranty work that is covered by a manufacturers warranty. I have requested that they claim the costs back from Swift but they have refused and tried to push me onto another approved service centre. I was advised they would try this as the warranty work doesn’t pay as well as regular service work. Happy to take your money off you at the point of sale but very poor after sales service.

The salesman, Richard, went above and beyond in securing a good deal after a bad experience with another caravan. We now have the caravan we wanted and he made the handover a real pleasure. Very satisfied after very nearly giving up on caravaning.

Purchase of new motorhome went well until we picked it up with no cycle rack for our holiday and ended up cancelling after 2 months waiting. A few minor warranty issues took until this May to be resolved (partly due to covid restrictions but mainly lack of communication from Lowdhams). However, an ongoing issue with the Sargent tracking device (being unable to register) and also during the time waiting for our service slot we also booked in a problem with the dashboard tablet cradle / mount (no longer opens). The tracker is now working but for some reason this had been registered without our knowledge from December. Lowdhams are now no longer returning my calls or responding to our emails. Disappointed.

The staff were very understanding, a few problems with car and not being able to get towbar fitted in time. Absolutely no problem at all.

We received excellent service. Emma was knowledgeable, extremely helpful and made the whole buying experience a pleasure. Whilst we experienced a couple of small manufacturing niggles, Emma sorted these with great professionalism, always making customer satisfaction a priority. I would not hesitate to recommend Lowdhams and particularly Emma.

In general, really good.
A couple of snags appeared with the caravan which they did sort very quickly which was great. Also ,you hear rumours of trade ins going badly but ours was picked up gone with no last minute haggling, before we'd even had a good look at our new one.
Only reason i'm not giving 5 stars is because of the amount of times i had to call to make sure things were progressing with our new purchase. The worst example being that if i hadn't called the day before i was due to pick it up, i wouldn't have been able to pick it up, as payments can't be made on a Saturday. That would have been useful information to know well in advance. The demonstration on pick up didn't include the fridge, which had a blown fuse.
I'd recommend buying a caravan from here but be prepared to put a bit of work in to keep on top of them. And don't let them not demonstrate anything on pick up.

The whole process from viewing to collection of our new caravan was very simple. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma she even came in on her day off to ensure the handover went ok. We would definitely recommend Lowdham’s.

Rebecca has been very helpful through the whole process of us buying our very first campervan. She took time to understand what we were looking for and pointed out pros and cons of each time of vehicle. I was impressed that at no point did we feel pushed into anything by Rebecca. We’ve found the whole team to be friendly and helpful. On the handover Scott took us through everything and was happy to go through things more than once if necessary. I would certainly recommend Lowdham’s for anyone looking to purchase a Caravan or Motorhome.
