Destined to fail unless a bottom up overhaul

The last time that I reviewed this site, I gave it a glowing report. However, just a few years later and, quite frankly, the site is now terrible.

Asides from the intrusive advertisements, feed for RNS is often broken. RNS, of course is market sensitive information and can result in sharp moves in the share price.

The recording of share price percentage movements is broadly correct until US markets come online and the engine that filters data rather collapses. For many smaller companies, data is not recorded.

Moderation of boards is poor with a tolerence of abuse from bullies that parade their opinion as correct. Healthy debate should be encouraged, but the culprits responsible for spreading misinformation should have their wings clipped.

At one time I was a paying subscriber, but the only benefit was the removal of some of the advertisements. The inaccuracies of feed, interpreting algorithim, filter for prices, recording of data and bullying remained. No point in paying a premium price for a mediocre service

I have used the site for a few years…

I have used the site for a few years and its always been straight forward, and free. The graphics are good and the layout easy to navigate. And unlike most broker/ financial websites, LSE provides some free level 2 data. Not much but its better than the usual offering of none unless you pay handsomely.
It seems most reviewers on here are bitterly disappointed with the chatroom. Which is worrying.
Worrying that making shrewd investment decisions based on what a bunch of unverified strangers chewing the fat on a chat board have to say could ever really be a thing.
Crazy.
The site supplies all the data you need to make decisions based on fundamental economics, and has links to news reports, regulatory press releases, broker ratings, etc etc. Stay away from the chat room unless youre simply checking for breaking news or just very very bored.
And, obviously, anybody that says ' this can only go north, just bagged myself another 50,000, fill yer boots lads, this one will cover the school fees/Maldives holiday bla bla probably doesnt have any real shares, a job, actual children or boots. Probably wearing slippers and drinking beer in their underpants.
(ps. I dont work for LSE. Im not even in the same industry)

I gave them 1 star as Trustpilot will not let me award ZERO stars.
Corrupt site which is biased and complicit in share price manipulation, particularly the MATD.L board.
They protect Adw198 poster who in the past has wished cancer on others, called them despicable names and goads users about dead relatives, in the last 7 days they have banned several highly rated poster and taken down the invalueable info they had ammased, on contacting Admin they claim to know nothing about it and no longer reply to e mail.
LSE should be reported to the authorities.

A tale of what used to be.

A tale of what used to be.
Was good.
Now dreadful.
They allow comments on boards that just completely ruin any meaningful chat.
Further, since they lost the link to Jarvis, they have upped the level of adverts to a ridiculous level, that just makes trying to glean any company information, virtually impossible.
Avoid.

I came across this site by accident…

I came across this site by accident when searching for some information. At first it was interesting so I joined and began to use it more, however the more I used it the less useful I found it. The more worring thing though was that the more i used it the more mouth breathing, knuckle dragging idiots I found. There is so much racism and bigotry on here its like a Stephen Yaxley-Lennon love in.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE

DO NOT USE THIS SITE

As an investor I was a member of this platform for a very short time, I used it mainly to read comments on the chat board of a company I hold shares In, Its an absolute free for all, full of trolls and scammers who try to commit market manipulation by spamming the board with rude, abusive, threatening comments and lies in replies to other genuine posters, this is done in an attempt to lower the share price, this happens on practically every board on LSE all day everyday 24/7, you do have the option to report the comments to Admin but most of the time nothing gets done, I believe as the site sells advertising they allow it to happen to Create traffic.

Anyway I emailed LSE and complained about 2 individual posters who were constantly posting lies and abuse, also abuse towards me in order to commit market manipulation, I asked for these people to be removed and I asked for the companies official complaints procedure to be emailed to me. Then to my surprise LSE banned my account!!! And the 2 posters that were abusing me and others continued with the abuse!!

I email LSE back asking why the hell I've been banned just because I complained about the abuse and the company are now refusing to reply to me!

STAY WELL AWAY

worth a 2025 review as they are so bad

worth a 2025 review as they are so bad! Would give no stars if that were possible. The posters on this site are the worst types of human beings. If you want to be bullied and abused for a different point of view, then this is for you. Little gangs of trolls endeavour to continually report a normal person until they get them banned, and then probably giggle like little schoolgirls behind their hands. I think they employ spotty faced McJob type teenagers with no life experiences, intelligence or common sense as Moderators. Speaking to their Head Office is just as bad. Advertisement click bait is their only objective. If you value your sanity steer well clear of here!!!

Moderators are the worse ever

Moderators are the worse ever come across. Lazy or stupid, or both? I don't think they actually read most of the posts they remove. The little gangs of bullies keep reporting a person, or their posts, until they achieve their objective of shutting down the poster or even better getting them banned! Speaking to lse themselves is a joke! Might as well talk to the wall you would get more sense back. Data is usually wrong Re buys/sells. Simply a click bait tin pot site run for advertisers. If you value your mental health then simply don't join this site.

Hi David.

We calculate the trade type based on the trade price being higher or lower than the mid price at the time of the transaction. Sometimes this calculation does not work, or the price is the opposite side of the mid price. This means we are either unable to calculate what type of trade this is at all, or the calculation shows it as the wrong type of trade (a buy instead of a sell for example).

Until the Stock Exchange is able to tell everyone what type the trade is, we'll need to continue using the algorithm most websites like ours use.

I hope this explains why sometimes buys and sell get listed incorrectly. If you have any further questions, please email info@lse.co.uk

Beyond me why advertisers would pay a…

Beyond me why advertisers would pay a penny on here. Pretty toxic boards where opposing opinions are either shouted down or little gangs keep reporting a person betting their posts removed and continue until they get them banned. Quite pathetic. I get the impression they employ spotty teenagers for Moderators because the lack of life understanding and standard is appalling! I doubt they actually read posts just go with the majority. talk about being in the pocket. Complaining to LSE brings no response as their arrogance is astounding. I hope advertisers start pulling out to hit them in only place they care, their pocket. If you value your mental health stay off this site they are are better free ones around

Corrupt

Little point using this company, they allows manipulation of chat board by not taking seriously deramping / basher posters who only purpose is to try and destabilize a share price.
Day after day perfectly good companies have their share price manipulated in this manner.
To name an example MATD.L daily negative posts (hundreds of them) by investor 33, Stasi20, Adw198, Doc83.
Why give this company your cash when they happily allow other to damage your investments.

They keep taking my reviews down on condor absolute disgrace. It’s only one sided.
There’s no point having a chat if they keep taking your chat off absolutely disgusting behaviour.
I’ve put free chats on there about the company Mark Childs and they keep taking it down. It’s not offensive and it’s no swearing. It’s the truth. He’s misled the shareholders and they keep taking it down Southeast.

Used to be a very useful website

Used to be a very useful website, however I can no longer use it for the excessive pop-up ads on the screen. It's impossible to read a thread without them getting in the way. Unfortunately I'll be looking elsewhere as it's just not worth the hassle to try and navigate around them.
