The best by far. Their actual surfers and not just travel agents that have stood up on a foamy once upon a time.

Having tried every other agent acting in the Maldives and the surfing industry. I have finally found one that actually gets it. They aren't travel agents with a surf related website, but actual surfers that are experienced in both surfing and the places that they offer travel too. Some of the other agents which brag as being leaders in this field are far from it. There has always been some headache such as overbooking, inferior boats, or just general misinformation. These guys get it, finally.

The LUEX crew are a bunch of absolute legends. Every minute facet of my recent trip to Niyama Resort in the Maldives was seamlessly organised by Tim and the team. All the usual sweaty, stressful logistics of tropical surf travel were eliminated so all me and my buddies had to do was relax and enjoy. They even turned the wind offshore and cranked the swell period to 15s in time for our arrival haha now that's service! Can't wait for the next one, thanks guys and speak soon :)

What a fantastic trip I had!

Thanks so much to Tim and the entire LUEX crew to seriously go above and beyond to make my trip to the Maldives all that more special. Your prompt communication, attention to detail AND patience was much appreciated. I always wanted to go surf in the Maldives, but I had no idea A, where to go, and B, where to stay. Tim was kind enough to exchange probably close to 30 emails, taking the time to discuss every single option that was available that matched my budget and preferences. I honestly never had a better customer experience and thought I was in good hands throughout the booking process. Everything lined up perfectly, and I had ten unforgettable days in paradise, surrounded by good people and pumping waves. Again, thanks so much for all your efforts. I'm already planning my next trip and you, Tim, are the first person I will contact.

We will be back!

My wife and I booked through many adventure companies already in the past, but the dedication, support and expertise of LUEX are outstanding. We just booked a trip to the Maldives and have been incredibly happy with all the support and advice we got. We have never been as far from home and had many questions and concerns that were addressed very timely. They even sent us photos, videos and maps as well as their own experience, which was extremely helpful. We are very excited about our trip and will be back for our next holiday for sure. Thanks so much!

untrustworthy

first ever review of luex, in business for more than 8 years

luex tries delusive retaliation with fake or unverifiable statements, in exuberance its trademark, instead of clear answers to facts

- why luex has listed on the major search site, yet not allowed rates ?
this 'flashy-shady' business has set to avoid reality check on a low cost service beneath an innovative website, hides stakeholders shares, its fees
whole world class surf areas not listed : southern north Atlantic ; in Oceania : Ecuador islands, Samoa, New Caledonia, Micronesia, Hawaii ; Australia ; the lemur island

- never a customer-trader contract, luex had not sent funds to stay facility, terms others than luex not valid either, which luex cannot deny, then why no luex voucher ?
no written formal settlement ever, which luex cannot show, this business has no entitlement to conceal how it treats customers
luex derisory distortion, with an error on nuisance quoted, no rates on luex site, an assault horror story on the major tourist rates site

- exuberant quantity of time wasted
luex unabashedly dares blame customer to react to its method to relentlessly claim would be owed fees on staff countless emails harrassment sell habit called 'advice' - inaccurate : J bay advertised as 'shark safe' destination before WCT 'whitie' incident, with 'fun waves' whereas shallow reef, not crowded ! - then to director try to force sale of a road surf tour at increased rates, driver a surfer who described himself online as a 'weirdo', without stays, unfit in such a violent area ; finally to his 'no voucher' 'no full refund' stance

luex would never have refunded at a decent level out of fine will, twice it took action to obtain refund increases, from half refund 'offer' which luex does not quote in its answer to hide that ethics this mean business does not know, only its interest to avoid brand risk under indeed determined 'incentive', why luex would have yielded to refund to 9/10 extent had not there been evidence of financial abuse, contradictions, which luex cannot deny, how would this business forward unaltered certified 'emails' ?

The insider referred to in review works for a trusted surf retailer, and sells stays at a surf resort, directly, not to feed this kind of controversial business

surfers, look no further, no review on luex in near a decade, total unaccountability
rather book direct than risk to deal with luex

here the review

luex, a ski surf book site, 7 weeks abusively retained 4500 euros bank transfer, sent for a not confirmed 1 week 'luxury' exotic individual surf stay, no airline tickets sold.
luex, in blatant violation of its terms - contract linked to effective transaction, 'size' 'efficient way' to 'side with clients' - not only would not refund, at cancel order due to intolerable nuisance found just as funds had cleared ; furthermore, extremely detrimental, dared deny conversion in a credit, tried to seize funds, in collusion with facility.
It took reality mediatization on the major tourist rates site, insurance action loom, to have luex yield from half refund 'offer', then 'full' refund less its 1/5 fee, of which added half refund later, 1/10 still taken for inaccurate called 'advice'.
Surf world insiders warn to avoid this individual main stakeholder started - directed kind of business, extortionate fees ilk, without evidence of any other 'standard', in reality a low cost service, definitely not risk free - financially as shown above, no swell warranty when it exists for snow or sunshine, neither accident insurance - instead an unmatched array of online sell tricks, to the extent of fanatic self-brand, used - aimed at illusion : extraordinary surf skills animations enticement, endless links benchmark, ultra-detailled tours ; direct yell in enthusiastic words at YOU, 'robot' turn-over staff 'chat' window hook to email track ; invasive ads on the major search site, on which this business has listed yet desactivated reviews for unaccountability, indeed in the event an issue arises 'cool surf values' reveal utterly fake.
luex = (tourist) lure

After dozens of hours consultancy the client above booked a holiday at Ranchos Santana in 2014 with LUEX and paid in full. He then cancelled just 10 days before the trip. His reason was his cattle allergy and his fear that there "Cows in Nicaragua". The resort assured him that there wouldn't be cows near the hotel. The client chose to cancel anyway. According to LUEX and the hotels general Terms & Conditions there was a 100% cancellation fee by the time of cancellation. The client accused LUEX staff of misleading him and "not warning him of cows" in Nicaragua and near the hotel. It may sound odd but it is true... Out of a courtesy we offered the client a 20% only cancellation fee. But the client still started a campaign against LUEX. He contacted shareholders, wrote bad reviews, bombarded LUEX staff with literally hundreds of email, etc..

In the hope of piece of mind we even offered 10% cancellation fee only but only if that would settle the dispute and if the client would stop the campaign against us. The client eventually agreed to the settlement in written on January 7th, 2015. He further more agreed to delete already published reviews, to clarify the situation with LUEX shareholders, to send no more emails to LUEX staff and to contact LUEX at no point again in the future. He kept the promise for a little more than 12 months.

This year in February he started the campaign again. Hundreds of email. Bad reviews. Etc.
But let us be very clear. No additional bad review, no additional email, no legal claim or similar of this client will make LUEX give in on that. LUEX hasn't done anything wrong. In fact we have provided above average service and deserve to be treated in a fair way.

Dear all other valued clients: We are happy to prove all of the above by forwarding original emails. Just in case you are unsure.
