I first contacted Lumos in July about my Lumos Matrix.
The helmet became very difficult to turn on and couldn’t be turned off by the switch, had to be reset by plugging in. I received an automated replay saying I’d be contact within 5 days. No response after 7 days, so I emailed again. Same automated reply and still no contact with a member of staff. The helmet will now no longer turn on.
I really think Lumos are just giving me the runaround and hoping I’ll go away. The helmet was 9 months old when the fault developed, perhaps they’re stringing me out to 12 so they don’t have to replace it under warranty.
21st September.
After leaving a 1 star review on TP, Lumos jumped into action and problem solved. My Matrix helmet developed a hardware fault that couldn’t be repaired, so a new helmet was required. Unfortunately they didn’t have any replacements in stock, and it couldn’t be confirmed when any more would be available. I was therefore offered an Ultra E-bike helmet as a replacement. I was initially reluctant to accept a different model, but after a bit of deliberation I came to the conclusion that it was probably more suitable for my circumstances than the Matrix. Overall a happy customer, and I really like the new helmet. Hopefully it’ll last much longer than the Matrix.

Totally outstanding customer service
Totally outstanding customer service! I contacted the guys at Lumos because my Matrix MIPS helmet was troubleshooting; it had become difficult or impossible rather, to turn the light on and off. I wear my Matrix helmet every day - a brilliant piece of technology - hence wear and tear. Ann from the customer service team got back to me within days to inform me, that I need not worry. They provided a few good options, where to get the helmet serviced here in Switzerland, so I was very happy with that. And then the unexpected happened... Ann informed me, that they had immediately shipped a brand new Matrix helmet to my address, in order to save me from having to send my helmet in for repair! I couldn't quite believe, what I was reading, as these helmets are a. very popular and b. not the cheapest. All in all I am thrilled to bits and look forward to my brand new Matrix free of charge! Go Lumos!

I love my Lumos helmet
I love my Lumos helmet. He has a good fit and by the first-class lighting in conjunction with the turn signals, I feel very siche in traffic. Very good I find the extension by the Lumos Firefly. Hereby one is seen in traffic even better and increases safety.
I am very satisfied with the Lumos devices.

Absolutely love my Lumos helmet!
Absolutely love my Lumos helmet! I already had a Lumos Ultra Neon colored helmet but ended up switching to the Lumos E-Bike Smart Helmet when I started riding it had higher speeds. It comes with a moveable visor on the helmet which I definitely needed along with the lights for braking, etc. Can’t wait for the rides ahead! Thanks, Lumos!

I received a Lumos Matrix as a gift
I received a Lumos Matrix as a Christmas present. The on/off button never felt quite right, and it was often hard to turn on and off. I used it though, and loved it. I felt like it gave me an added layer of safety. However, by summer it wouldn’t turn on or off at all. I contacted Lumos and they had me send them a video of the problem. While they didn’t warranty it directly (I had to do that through the shop I bought it from-Northwest Bicylce), they did end up sending me a new one. Works great and I’m happy with it.

Great helmet, awful return process
Ordered two helmets directly from the website in two different sizes to make sure I got the best fit. To return you need to email customer support and send pictures of the product number, the helmet you wish to return PLUS a pic of the helmet and a letter confirming your name just to get the return address. Nearly two weeks after my initial contact I still haven't got the address and I'm worried I might not be able to return for a refund.
The sad thing is I REALLY like the helmet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but the awful handling of what should be a straightforward process is overshadowing the whole experience. LUMOS, please get your act together ❤️ because your product is very good!

The Lumos Ultra Saved My Life
I was going down hill on mile 13 of a 30-mile ride on my ElliptiGo 8C when I rounded a curve in the trail and hit a patch of slick mud. The next thing I knew, I was on the ground, bleeding from a cut on my forehead. I landed on my right side and head. I sat up, stopped the bleeding and after waiting about 10 minutes started on my way home. Once I reached home I took a shower to clean up and by this time figured I better go to the urgent care facility. I made my way there, and the doctor ordered some x-rays and a tetanus shot. The radiologist's report indicated I may have 3 fractured ribs and that I should go to the emergency room for a CT scan. To make the story short, I had a CT scan and was placed in a hospital bed in the hall of the emergency room. The emergency room and the hospital were completely full. After about 30 minutes, the trauma doctor finally made it around to me. He spent a lot of time going over the extent of my injuries. Every rib on my right side was fractured, two ribs were fractured in two places, and two ribs were completely broken. He said the force of impact was significant. Before he left, he said to me, "If you had not been wearing a helmet, you would not be lying in this hospital bed talking to me." Lumos makes a good helmet and I urge anybody riding a bicycle, tricycle, scooter or whatever to wear a helmet.

There was a lot of back and forth given the nature of my request (out of stock helmet), but finally the Lumos Helmet customer service team (specifically Vera @ Lumos) were able to pull some strings and get me the right helmet. I greatly appreciate their responsiveness and attention to my requests.

Great customer support
Purchased the Lumos helmet and Lumos remote turn signal because I normal ride in the pre-dawn darkness. Helmet provides excellent notice to drivers around me as well as indications of turns. Had an issue pairing the devices, so I contacted customer support and they were quick to respond with the info I needed to get it fixed.

Many Lives Will Be Saved!
I invested a small amount in this helmet 2 years ago and I LOVE it. I do Bike Tours in San Diego and it works really well allowing my group following me to know which way we'll be going next. BUT what is really incredible about this helmet is all the lives it will save giving cars NOTICE that 1. We are there 2. We'll be turning soon.

Friendly & generous cusomer service
I asked the customer service for help on a Lumos remote, which ceased to work. After a few friendly mails back and forth, unfortunatly there was nothing to be done, the remote was dead, but 3 others purchased at the same time still working.
Even being past the warrenty time, I was offered a replacement remote, which I found generous.
There are 5 helmets in use in our family and all are working perfectly, so I really appreciate how the case of this technical 'dud' was handled.

I thought I had a problem with my Matrix helmet not turning off but it was simply that there were a couple of updates I needed to complete. It is working beautifully and the company responded within hours to my questions. Delighted with my amazing Matrix! I find it to be comfortable and have used it both while riding but also walking after dark.

I have been wearing the Lumos Ultra MIPS M/L helmets for 2 years. I liked the fit and function so well that I bought 5 different color combinations of the Ultra MIPS helmet. The Ultra MIPS is the first MIPS helmet I have worn. In the summer of 2022, on a downhill, I had a road bike crash, which resulted in my Ultra Helmet hitting the asphalt paving at the front side temple area. I was fully aware, to get up from the roadway and sat for a few minutes to assess my outcome. The road bike wheels were too out of true to ride, so I called for a ride home. For the rest of the day and the next few days, I was impressed that my neck felt no strain, which I had experienced after two other of my crash incidents that happened during the past 30 years.
The Ultra helmet has been easy to fit well on my head and easy to fit well on several of my friends, who temporarily borrowed one of my Ultras.
For hot summer time riding, I have been using my Ultra helmets with a Da
Brim sun visor, which secures very well on the Ultra. One of my friends bought the Ultra because the Da Brim fit so well.

Support experience
I got a clear answer regarding my defect remote. They ask for reasonable proof of the problem and where able to use mail, pictures and a video as a communication medium. Also with different Cusomer Support Agents they where into the thread and nothing needed to be repeated twice.
They also replaced the remote and made a top up without any cost for me. I was realy happy that they where very accommodating. The retailer just wanted the Ultra Helmet back to throw it into garbage without any need. It was just a broken remote light.
And the Helmet with the remote is realy a nice thing. It seems like, that cars keep more distance and dont try to give you a hand with their right mirror.
