The guidance in choosing the right colour and designs was perfect. The installer was on time and also did a great job. The only issue was a breakdown in communication due to one staff not ringing or emailing me back and I had to contact the office several times before I could get a response. However, once Narelle took over the job it was completed smoothly.

Such a positive experience from beginning to end at Katandra interiors in Busselton. From choosing the right blinds, and they came to do the quote when they said they would. (We are 118km from Busselton ). Some shutters we ordered were going to take longer to make, which we knew at the start, but they still made the effort to come and install the one that was made first. It looks beautiful and fits perfectly. Done in a flash with no mess. We eagerly await the next ones which are due early Jan. Excellent communication throughout, beautiful product, great staff, punctual. Wouldn't shop anywhere else.

Katandra Interiors offer a very Professional service. Their staff are always on time and every care is taken when fitting your blinds. They replaced a facia as it was not perfect. Can highly recommend the product.

We wanted new blinds for our small cottage that we rent out because our blinds were antiques! A lovely girl from Katandra turned up and proceeded to do the measure-up. She was very chatting to us and also the tenant who was there.

The shutters we had installed have completely changed to appearance of our formal lounge room - and we love it!! We also had them installed in our master bedroom and they look fabulous. The assistance we have received from Katandra in Busselton has been outstanding - they are on time, offer great ideas, are not offended or upset if we choose a different approach, and create a welcoming environment to make decisions which suit us an our home. While they may be a bit more expensive than some other options the service and support means we have the right product for our home, which is important as we will be living with it for a long time. We recently built a new home in the south west equipped with a Control4 Automation platform. The house is a mix of timber frame and rammed limestone walls. We wanted to install automated blinds but were concerned about the coverage of wireless Zigbee mesh within the house given the material selection and thickness of some internal walls.

We decided to install the hardwired QMotion roller blinds from Luxaflex with QMotion QIS controllers connected directly to Control4. Each QIS controller can handle up to 8 blinds each and are daisy chained together to expand the system depending on the number of blinds in the house.

A big advantage of the QMotion QIS controllers is that they utilize CAT6 wiring between the QIS and the blinds and don't require separate 240V feeds to each blind. The blinds use a 24VDC motor. Power is passed across 6 of the 8 cores (3 for +ve and 3 for -ve) with the remaining two cores handling the open / close commands. They parallel up the +ve and -ve cores to compensate for voltage drop.

Open / Close / Partial Up/Down commands are programmed into the Control4 switchplates meaning lighting and blind control are fully integrated into the same switch (no ugly remotes hanging on the wall). Further to this everything is fully integrated to your phone (including Alexa voice control) giving complete control over scheduling / scenes etc with the option to automate opening/closing of blinds based on time of day and/or seasonal conditions to limit the amount of heat absorbed into your house in summer.

Overall we're really happy with the final solution. The automation is fantastic and will significantly reduce our homes internal temperature over summer (automatically closing blinds when you or your kids forget to as you leave the house). We made a conscious decision not to install air conditioning (for environmental reasons) and instead put the funds towards ceiling fans, natural ventilation (via louvred windows) and automated blinds.

The final solution was a collaborative effort between Katandra (Luxaflex) and our Control4 integrator but we couldn't be happier. From start to finish the Katandra team were extremely helpful and pricing was on par with prices we received in Perth. Would fully recommend this solution to others building a new home.
