Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 30 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers frequently complained about the completely unresponsive customer support team, describing endless communication delays and unhelpful automated bots that offer zero real assistance. Reviewers also noted that long-awaited warranty claims and replacement requests are constantly met with severe runaround, broken promises, and frustrating administrative bureaucracy. Some people also felt that the overall product quality and physical build durability fall far short of what is expected for such expensive luxury brands. Disappointed consumers repeatedly mentioned receiving incorrect, damaged, or completely faulty items, leaving buyers completely stranded without proper solutions, meaningful support, or financial refunds.

As a 60 yr

As a 60 yr. customer of Ray Ban and Oakley, I can assure you that these brands are just a ghost of what they once were. Cheap, flimsy, lightweight and utterly unforgiving, they're cheaply constructed and cannot hold up to even occasional use. Damaged by even the lightest drop, they break frames and lenses. Original Bausch&Lomb were vastly superior. Buyer be ware!! This is PREMIUM PRICED JUNK.

Never again. Customer service is terrible.

Terrible customer service. You can only get to a chat box to speak and they only regurgitate the lines they've been given, like a bot. No new information. "Your glasses that we've had for an incredibly long time to make a 5 minute nose pad replacement and slip on a new ear sock is in queue, but we can't estimate when they will get to your service order, so too effing bad.... sir, but here's a 30% discount to order you a new one since this one is in a dark void and you don't even know if you'll ever see it again." At least, that's how it comes off to me.

Lost item at Luxottica

I ordered a product to be delivered which was sent to Luxottica as a return, to their warehouse in NSW. I have emailed and called and spoken with their employees only to be advised they can't transfer me to the warehouse where returned goods are sent. Tracking and order numbers provided - no responsibility at all. The worst experience ever.

Horrible service with no accountability for their mistakes…

I ordered a pair of yellow replacement lenses for my costa Sullivan frames and luxxottica shipped me the wrong color. They have been giving me the run around for weeks about returning the product for a full refund. They even made me pay to ship the wrong item back to them! Horrible customer service with no accountability for their mistakes.

Brought ray ban stories - warranty process useless

Brought ray ban stories. Replace them under warranty. Sent old ones back but still waiting for a replacement, having to start legal action to recover costs. ~As requested by Ray-Ban i have emailed them as requested below. It’s 52 days since I started this process, 7 phone calls and 6 emails. Still no luck. Next week i will have no option but to take legal action and then if successful, request bailiffs to collect what is owed. I will be videotaping this for social media and I have recorded all 7 phone calls all saying they will get back to me but not one has!!!

Ray-Ban: Premium Prices, Garbage Customer Service

Absolutely pathetic customer service from Ray-Ban. I reached out about an issue with my prescription order and was met with a cold, scripted response basically saying, “Too bad, you're past the 45-day mark—go buy another pair.” No empathy, no attempt to offer any help or real solution, just a lazy link to their policy and a fake “have a wonderful day.”

For a company that charges premium prices, they sure deliver bargain-bin service. You’d think a brand like Ray-Ban would care more about customer satisfaction than clinging to a technicality. Instead, they’d rather lose a loyal customer than lift a finger to make things right. Never again.

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company - ordered sunglasses with 2/3day delivery weeks ago and have not received them. There was no email confirmation of the purchase and it is impossible to contact them.
Paid via paypal which is still being held by paypal but it seems impossible to cancel or challenge this payment until the goods have been despatched and the monies released by paypal

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Paid with PayPal on March 3. Nothing arrived since yet, contacted their customer support team multiple times and received automated messages, requested full refund, got no response and on order tracking my order shows as order created. It's a scam, they wasted my time and money.

Customer support was terrible

Customer support was terrible. The online shopping policy states that you can return items and get a refund 'no problem' - but then there were technical 'issues', the money never got refunded so I had no sunglasses AND no cash. Generic messages from customer support over and over and no result. In the end my bank had to raise a credit card dispute to get the money back. Huge corporation who just think they can ignore the 'little people' and not bother following up on their policies. Wasted so much time.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. You can’t get the same answer from the people. They gave me a $600 credit because of all the headaches I had and when I finally got around to using it they said “it had expired” Never having had forewarned me that it would expire. Now they’re coming at me with a $300 credit. I would be a financially if I had just bought the sunglasses I have wasted so much time dealing with their incompetency.

Horrible Service

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Target Optical in Stoughton, MA. I had an appointment scheduled for February 15th at 10:00 am, booked over a year in advance. About three weeks prior, I received a confirmation email requiring me to verify or cancel the appointment. This is where the problems began.

Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to confirm my appointment. The online system showed the time slot as unavailable. I called the number provided in the email and on a follow-up postcard approximately 15 times over two weeks, but it consistently went straight to a full voicemail. I also checked the website multiple times for a solution, but to no avail. Unfortunately, the Stoughton location is too far for me to visit in person.

On the day of my appointment, I arrived promptly at 10:00 am. The front desk staff informed me that I did not have an appointment, blaming me for the lack of confirmation. While the manager, Sherill Fortune, attempted to rectify the situation, a staff member overruled her and seated another patient. To add insult to injury, the doctor arrived 20 minutes late and proceeded to see a different patient first. After waiting an additional 30 minutes, I finally saw the doctor, who also blamed me for the confirmation issue. When I explained the difficulty I had reaching them due to the full voicemail and the unresponsive online system, the doctor claimed that the contact information they provided was incorrect. At that point, I had to explicitly ask the doctor to stop placing blame on me.

The entire experience was marked by exceptionally poor customer service. The only positive interaction I had was with the manager, Sherill Fortune, who genuinely tried to help. It is unacceptable that Target Optical provided incorrect contact information and then blamed the customer for being unable to confirm their appointment. I would strongly advise anyone considering Target Optical in Stoughton to proceed with extreme caution.

No customer service whatsoever

If you have any issues, customer service will not assist you. They sent generic emails that they claim will be answered within 5 days but never get back to you. I have asked for weeks to have my complaint escalated and they continue to ignore me or refer me to yet another ticketing website to "escalate" my issue.
I first got to Luxottica after having an issue with Target Optical. Luxottica owns them so I had to go through them for my complaint. It has now been 2 months and nothing has been resolved. This is a huge corporation and they can get away with not providing customer support.

What an awful experience shopping at…

What an awful experience shopping at persol-com-canada! First, I couldn’t log in to my account, which meant I had no way to track my purchases, returns, or anything else—something that should be basic for online shopping. Then, returns aren’t automatic, self-service, or immediate. Instead, you’re stuck waiting at least two days for someone to approve and process the return.

When I finally received a return label, there was no email or confirmation from customer service. I had to guess that “XYZ OPTICS” was related to Luxottica and somehow connected to Persol. It was incredibly confusing! and you are assuming I'm not shopping online for other stuff.

To make matters worse, the package was delivered by DHL from Italy, but the return label was for Canada Post and directed to Quebec. The whole process felt disorganized and unnecessarily complicated.

This was honestly one of the most awful customer experiences I’ve ever had. I’m already assuming that getting my money back will take forever, which only adds to my frustration. I’ll never buy from Persol again and will avoid anything related to this company in the future.

AVOID. Joke of a company with awful customer service.

I got a pair of versace sunglasses. Detail on the side fell off so i contacted them as directed through versace. WHAT A JOKE. Added photos explained i only needed a little piece of gold plastic at the end of the arms. They said out of warranty £195!!! NOW, the glassea are £130 to buy outright as they are older. But for a little gold detail?
So i had a hunt around and found on their site a place to replacement parts. Hunted down the trim name myself and £8! On their own site! How a company who knew exactly the pieced i needed through the photos could darw ask for £195 is beyond me. Joke of a company. Hated giving the £8 after it but the sunglasses couldn't be worn without it as the arma sat too wide. MY ADVICE IS TO AVOID SPEAKING TO THE. FIND IT YOURSELF. Also the customer service via email is shocking. I asked them about all of this and no reply. This is not a high end brand. Its greed. If i could give 0 stars i would.
