Everyone was very helpful from start to finish during the process of buying our first home.
They were very efficient and always got back to us without delay.

I made a new will and Lyons Bowe were superb. Natasha, who dealt with my will, was thoroughly professional and I would not hesitate to recommend her and her company.

Each stage of the selling process has been dealt with by dedicated teams which seems to have improved the efficiency at Lyons Bowe. The whole process has been surprisingly timely and each team have been friendly and helpful, keeping us informed of progress at each stage. Excellent!

Would definitely use again. We were kept informed at every stage of the process, both via the portal (which was easy to use) and by email. We did not have any issues at all and particular thanks go to Maddie, Shanice and Katie for their efficient service.

1 star is 1 star too many. Honestly, save your time and sanity and go with a different solicitor.
We brought a house with no chain as first time buyers so in theory this should have been a very fast cast.
At every point in the process your case gets passed over to another team meaning we found that we got lost in the process on multiple occasions. We’d be told that *this* team will be in contact with us in 2-3 business days however on several occasions, it would take me calling them after 2 weeks for anyone to be in contact. The system is too convoluted.

We’d ask why they haven’t done something yet and they’d say “we’re waiting for you to submit *this* form”, despite us already submitting it weeks ago.

I asked for a copy of our draft contract pack in February and by the start of May (despite me calling and email on numerous occasions, to which I had no response) we still didn’t have it. By May I was emailing the lady in charge of our case every day and calling her roughly every other day just to get an update on it. She wouldn’t reply to my emails or even answer the phone. Eventually we gave up and decided to use a different solicitor because I literally could not even get in contact with them. I managed to get through to someone finally and they informed me that we “are not a priority” despite us informing them when we signed up with them that we would be homeless in May if we didn’t have the keys. We were also told that they had “over 300 people trying to buy a house at them moment”. I asked why they took on our case if they didn’t have time for us but they had no response. I will say that the lady I spoke to was very rude as well.

The solicitors that we changed to got our case through in 3 weeks and told us that it was indeed a very simple case and that we should have got the keys a month before switching solicitors.

We have recently completed on our house purchase with Lyons Bowe, We really liked that there was a new team to deal with each stage of the conveyancing as felt this moved quicker than only having one solicitor dealing with everything. We cannot recommend Marco Camacho and Lottie Newcombe at Lyons Bowe enough, they dealt with my anxious phone calls extremely well and went above and beyond! Whilst we hope not to move again for a very long time, if we do, we would 100% use Lyons Bowe again.

Fair pricing and great communication throughout the whole house selling process

Great service from beginning to end. Cannot fault their communication and their portal which allows you to check the progress in real time is brilliant. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I'm very pleased with Kerryanne whom assisted me with the purchase of my house, she has been prompt in answering queries, excellent at chasing up the vendors solicitors and super at explaining the process.

Lyons Bowe were ok. The model of dealing with different teams/staff at different stages means your experience will probably vary.

Communication was generally quite poor. Key people were hard to get hold of when needed, and often questions were ignored.

The onboarding stage was...ok. Some frustrating/confusing email exchanges, and communication wasn't great. The app is useful for signing early documents, but soon becomes obsolete as you progress.

The conveyancing and searches stage was good. It was the smoothest part for us. Our solicitor was on it, quick to reply to queries and answered the phone when I called. They made one pretty basic error with the contracts, but it luckily didn't cause any issues/delays.

Exchange/completion could have been better. Again, communication was not great. There were no instructions of how to pay deposit, very little in the way of guidance in general. Our contact would fall silent for days at a time when we needed answers.

Ultimately, Lyons Bowe did the job on what was a pretty straightforward purchase (from a private company) with no chain. I'm not sure I would use them again, as I wasn't happy with their communication (or lack thereof).

They are competitive in terms of cost though!

We used Lyons Bowe for our sale and purchase. We dealt with different teams across the various stages of the transactions. All the individuals handling our matters were responsive, professional and courteous. It was a great experience.

As a first time buyer, I would absolutely recommend Lyons Bowe. The solicitors were professional and prompt. Kerryanne in particular was extremely responsive which I greatly appreciated.

I would also recommend the app, which detailed a checklist of the sale and ensured I knew exactly where I was every step of the way. I would happily use their services again.

Katie in the New Instructions was very professional and quick to respond to my queries about the process. I really appreciated that she was direct and to the point so put me at ease even with the large amount of information coming my way.

I found the phone app simple to use apart from the downloads not working. I was able to download my forms on my laptop from the website. Hopefully this will get fixed.

Lyons Bowe were fantastic for our property purchase. Normally when you recommend a solicitor it's sort of "this one was less of a pain to deal with than the other one", but Lyons Bowe were genuinely brilliant and I'd recommend them to anyone. They also had a very neat app where you could see a little moving van getting closer to the house... which helped on some of the more stressful days. It also helped to see the overall progress of the purchase, along with items that were still left to tick off. It was very transparent.

Overall, their way of working is a little different to a lot of firms, as each stage of the process is handled by a different team (e.g onboarding/proof of funds, legal formalities, and then exchange/completion). This isn't a negative in any sense, as it meant each team were experts in that part of the process, and were always super responsive and transparent.

From the moment we started our process of both the house sale & purchase with Lyons Bowe through until our final stages & completion, they’ve been brilliant. A special mention to the incredible Tietia Shotton. Tietia was kind, patient, understanding and so empathetic when we hit SO many bumps in the road… up until not exchanging until the morning of the purchase! She was strong, determined & so approachable. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else for selling or purchasing property. Exemplary in every way. Thank you!
