Terrible
Terrible they do not care about there sellers, buyers buy then state items broken etc and eBay refunds them without any proof and I end up out of pocket. Also as a buyer double check when you buy as a lot comes from China. Don't waste time and energy trying to speak to anyone from ebay as you get the same story copy and pasted garbage.

When is the 'management' of this company going to take responsibility for how they really operate?!
Great concept, and has been a good experience, but when you see fraud as a buyer, it would seem impossible to get action to be taken against it. So buyer beware! this site can be a minefield unless you take precautions.
Some sellers have no compunctions about ignoring the buyer, when their item didn't reach the hoped value. Then when they get negative feedback, have it removed! Laughing all the way to their bank account. And ebay don't care a jot! It's all profit for them... ethics? ask them to spell it!
And for sellers, it is clear to see that they get well and truly rolled over by social scumbags who report items not delivered/ as described, to get refunds and keep the goods! So Sellers beware...
So overall, this could be a so, so much a better experience if the 'management' would do their jobs professionally, ethically & properly... don't hold your breath on that one!

Two instances of being scammed
Two instances of being scammed. eBay sellers claimed to have not received items and eBay refunding them straight away despite having proof of purchase and tracking showing delivered. As a result I received a permanent ban and absolutely no help from eBay to recover my money. I will never use eBay again as a buyer or seller, just a platform for fraud.
EBAY's BUYER PROTECTION is MEANINGLESS
I bought 2 rugs for E1500 from German vendor Morgenland that after two torturous months of delivery/redelivery issues, DPD finally delivered somewhere--just not to me. Vendor did not respond and when I disputed, EBAY SAID CASE CLOSED, BECAUSE DPD TRACKING CLAIMED THEY HAD DELIVERED. Seriously? Why is a vendor's inability to address a package and chose a proper signature-required courier my problem? The only reason I bought the rugs from EBAY is because I assumed EBAY would protect me if anything happened, but I realize I am spoiled by Amazon. EBAY is the opposite of Amazon customer service. EBAY's BUYER PROTECTION IS MEANINGLESS, and maddeningly, there's no way to contact them! You are powerless. Thank goodness my CC let me dispute and I got the money back. And Carpet Vista and Carpet Avenue has much better rugs for same price and infinitely better service, so no reason to buy from EBAY ever again!!
Ebay unfair to sellers
Asked for a refund for a laura Ashley lamp I sold in perfect condition. The buyer found a fault. I Sent a pre paid label via Hermes for them to return it.
They didn’t use the Hermes option but posted it via Royal Mail To an address I have not lived at for 10 years.
Ebay gave them the
refund and debited me.
I Had not changed my address on eBay. Had they used the Hermes label this would not have happened. The person at the address they sent it to has not received it.
So ebay has access to my funds? Is this legal I wonder.
I now have no item and have had money taken from my account.

Ebay has progressively got worse over the years, and all they obviously care about is getting your money - no user loyalty. I've been registered with ebay since 1999 (one of the early ebay users), and now its time to retire and just sell my own personal bits an pieces (I'm well into my 60s now).
So I tried to open a personal account and suddenly everything is blocked and they are going to close everything of mine. I contact customer services to find out whats going on - they won't discuss it and say they don't want people like me and that I have to find another venue to sell my stuff! Wow!! After being a daily user for 22yrs.
Long and the short is ebay obviously thinks nothing about their long standing customers - If you are reading this, don't put everything into ebay since they can cut you off just like that!

Low effort support. They didnt refund me for item as it was marked as delivered and was meant to have a signature. But was never delivered and no signature on tracking website.
Now I have to chase yodel instead of the seller.
I am not going to buy anything for a while.

I like eBay but do not like PayPal
I like eBay but do not like PayPal, therefore iam never selling again until you lose PayPal ...eBay is clunky with PayPal, PayPal is not smooth anymore, stupid security prompts in the middle of a buy , a buy that is lost the time it takes getting through it.... It's not a smooth process anymore

Unpleasant, and useful as it is talking to a robot. Employees do not look after customers.
I'm one of the customers and a good one too. Because I did my best to satisfy fussy buyers conquesting always top reviews while paying on top ebay the 10% on over £3700 of sales in the last year.
And as result, I keep on having loss and money held from these assh@£$s for items I already paid, with the call center guys trying to force me to send over waiting weeks each time.
I'm overwhelmed and disgusted by ebay's doing and seen myself forced to cancel more than 80 active adds and close the account on that ungrateful platform.

eBay is now a clunky
eBay is now a clunky, extremely difficult app/site to work with. Every time you use normal common sense you go down a dead end street. There is little or no correlation between the app and the site. I have just tried to alter my notification preferences and I’m going around in circles. The site sends me to the app and in the app the notifications page won’t remain open, a glitch I guess. I think eBay is a victim of its own success and now they need to bite the bullet and completely redesign and update the site and app to make it suitable for the 21st century.
