Do not use this company under any circumstances

Unbelievably bad, and owned by Screwfix who generally have a good reputation. Booked an oven repair 29/10/25 in good time for Christmas. Engineer appeared following week.To say he was clulelss, arrogant and lazy would be an under statement. He asked for the manual to
for the oven and what model it was - information provided on the e booking form!

He suggested that there was nothing wrong -I always have things repaired that aren't faulty of course. He left not having fixed the fault. We rearranged and asked expressly not to have the same engineer. He came again - didn't fix it but this time lied to HO and said that he had. I measured the temperature of the oven. 140/150 max, he said 220 to Head Office. I had to buy a thermometer for that. We didn't have the oven for Christmas because of this.

We then got our own local guy (should have done this in the first place). He laughed that the Repair Care 'engineer' didn't even pull the oven out. We are still trying to get RepairCare to anknowledge our complaint and refund for what is a total joke. They are obviously not too bothered to run with a 2 star TP score. I'll copy this to Screwfix next because they'll care more there. Do not use this lot it is a poorly thought through subsidiary that no doubt makes no money and doesn't get any top table attention from management. They need to close it. The engineer needs sacking too - if indeed he was even employed in the first place - looks like a freelance model to me

Scam of a company

How I wish I had checked the reviews before I handed money over to them!!! Two appointments the engineer didn’t turn up. Third appointment he turns up and tells me there’s nothing wrong with my hob. Less than 48 hours later is broken again. They now can’t carry out the repair because the parts are too expensive. They never return phone calls/emails. I’m waiting on a partial refund (which I no will never come until I take legal action). I don’t know how they’re still trading, I really don’t! A month later and I’m £147 out of pocket, three days lost earnings, and my job still isn’t fixed. They should all be in jail for fraud.

The serviceman didn't show up!!

I'm furious. Before Christmas my fridge broke down, I paid £125 for a service and took a day off from work so the repairman could fix it, unfortunately no one showed up. The fridge wasn't fixed. :( I hope they at least give me my money back!!!

Good price and job completed quickly... really happy!

I have an older American style fridge freezer. The digital display and buttons stopped working and I had a quote from Repaircare which I accepted.
When I saw the reviews on here, I considered cancelling the repair, but I had a text through from the company carrying out the work (Wednesfield) and their reviews were over 4 stars, I then had a call from Wednesfield to confirm the work which put my mind at rest. They came out, had a look at the fridge freezer, ordered the parts and within a week were back to complete the repair. The two guys that came round to the house were excellent, polite, efficient and did a great job.
The price from Repaircare was fair and the work was completed in good time with no issues whatsoever.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I booked a repair with this company in September. Unbeknown to me they use third parties and in my case, it was A.N.D. Domestics.
The first engineers visit went well but he was unable to complete the job as he needed an extra part. When I chased the company in October, they told me the job had been completed ! They issued me with a new number and eventually, late October the engineer came out again. He proceeded to tell me he didn’t have the part !!!

In December I chased them again and was told the part wasn’t it. Last week AND contacted me to book an appointment for today. Guess what? They didn’t turn up
From September til now I must have called the company at least a dozen times. On each occasion it takes at least 15 min to get through. I’ve had to take 3 days off work …… and lost the income and my cooker is still not working 100%. Had I have paid top price for the repair, I’d still be quids in
I most definitely WILL NEVER use this company again. They simply don’t care about their customers and when I spoke to Paul, a manager the best he was able to say was he’d take it up with AND. I asked how this would help me and he begrudgingly agreed it wouldn’t.
Sadly between the 2 companies, the left hand has no idea what the right one is doing and neither company cares
If this was my company I’d be seriously ashamed to admit it

Disgusting service

Disgusting service I paid £109.00 upfront and the engineer who couldn't find parking then drove off when I tried to call him back My repair was not done but they kept £76 of my money as I had cancelled the job which I hadn't . Disgusting attitude and service and would never use again.

Engineer that disappeared without trace!…

Used this company to fix a washing machine for my tenant. Booked the repair for 24th November, he came on 27th November and put a new pump in. The tenant turned the washing machine on and the clothes got stuck in mid wash, just as before. So no progress. Rang them and was told the engineer would come on Friday. He did not come so rang them they said they could not contact the engineer. Tried again later and they had still lost their engineer,
Got voicemail later in the day, he will come on Monday 4th. Rang on Monday, yes he will come but surprise, surprise, they could not contact him to find out a time. Later when I rang as he had not arrived, he will come on Monday 11th. My tenant had now been almost 2 weeks with no washing machine. Cancelled but they refused to give me the £109 I had paid them for not mending the machine. After a few phone calls they said I only had to pay the call out fee of £75. This company is hard work to deal with, don't use them. Only positive they were always polite but sounded constantly confused. They do not know what they are doing. Avoid

Do not use them, go for a local agent

Don't use this company, go for a local agent, the price will be similar and much more reliable, faster too.

Fridge freezer issue, engineer arrived after a few days said it needed parts and will be fitted when in stock?

They say they will evaluate your appliance: No covers removed, no tools used, no testing at all, just opened up the fridge and stuck his hand in, it needs 3 parts (FUSE,SENSOR & ANOTHER?) HOW HE ARRIVED AT THAT?

I explained the fridge gradually gets warmer. (ice build up stopping airflow) switch of leave 12 hrs with door open-restart unit -all is OK for another 5/6 days. repeat.

After 5 days a call saying unit has been tampered with, no parts ordered, case closed i get £50 back loss-£75 for not even a diagnosis? lied to, no response from the 3 emails i sent to their escalation department 2 day response time, still waiting after 5 days? not holding my breath.

You will NOT save any money using a fixed price repair, after repair-care take there slice of the £125 it doesn't leave enough for there agent to make the job worthwhile, certainly not for a few parts. ALPHA DOMESTIC (Repaircares agent) are dishonest, and Repaircare don't care what the agent does.

Paid upfront no appointment no refund

Paid upfront, waited for my appointment to get cancelled, had to wait a week to get another appointment which never was successful and was cancelled. They said they would refund me by text, waited 5 working days and still nothing so I rang up and it was an error, have to wait another 5 working days. Almost 3 weeks not working oven and no money to get it fixed. Do not use this company!

Not all cowboys are in the US of A

A simple fault with a BOSCH dishwasher, the machine gives the engineer an error code, so s/he will know where to look. A first-year apprentice should be able to deal with this fault.

First point of call “repaircare we fix appliances” give them the error code, pay the £135 and wait for the engineer to arrive.
Good news the engineer arrives within the first few days of calling, it’s looking good. The same engineer will make a further 3 visits over a 2-week period trying to install a pipe that does not need replacing.

Now parts are required and ordered, and some are placed on back order.

I am in for the long haul 10 weeks pass, still waiting for the parts. Only some have arrived. How long does it take for all of the outstanding parts to arrive? This is in the lap of the gods. And I can assure you repaircare will not be contacting you any time soon with an update, on the parts issue.

Please just remember once they have your money, you will be at their mercy and that of their contractors. There is no incentive for them to repair your faulty appliance quickly.

As said earlier I have been waiting 12 weeks for a dishwasher to be repaired, and I am getting used to the idea of a further 12 weeks wait for all of the parts to arrive and be installed.
