Run, don't walk, away from them

As others reviewers have commented, Made Renovation does not deliver on its promises. It was supposed to make the bathroom remodel easier and they were supposed to project manage. The design process was great and that's where the great service ended. The two bathrooms took over a year from start to finish. There was a delay on materials (not their fault). Then it took 2 months to find a contractor that would take their bid. The contractor I got was clearly still learning. He was like pigpen and a cloud of dirt and broken things followed him. (e.g., he flooded my kitchen below because one of his stops failed.) Made would nickel and dime me for anything that seemed within scope. They were zero help. A piece of equipment was clearly damaged in shipping. Contractor told him he could fix it at end. Then he couldn't. Made said I had to tell of them within 2 days of delivery that it was broken. (It was in the fine print.) I've never done a remodel before of any kind. I thought Made/Contractor would advise me on these types of things. Instead it became convenient for both of them to point fingers at the other one. Long story/short, I had to hire a new person to fix remaining issues.

Working with Made was a a negative experience

Working with Made was a negative experience. It took 1 year from start to end with them for a 45 square foot bathroom reno. Their costs seemed very high - they charged $38k for what was ultimately a basic black and white subway tile, drop in tub, and 24 in stock vanity replacement, and the bathroom required no changes to plumbing or electrical (sink, tub, toilet stayed same). I experienced poor communication and the staff turnover seemed very high. The client services manager or PM didn't answer texts, emails, voicemails or phone calls when there were issues for at least a week or more. I did catch them lying to seemingly delay the start (said subway tile was not in stock for months, I called the supplier who said they had 70,000 sq ft in stock). Their staff came off as inexperienced with construction in conversation, and maybe came from tech with little to no construction or customer service background. The actual work took from March to June and was often done on evenings and weekends, which was inconvenient. The billings became mixed up and they were poor at contract management (there was none). They came up with unjustified change orders and didn't ask for approval ahead of time, likely since they seemed made up.

The bathroom looks really nice in the end. But working with Made was an aggravating experience, and I've done much much larger home renovations, including gutting and rebuilding a Victorian in SF. I would say avoid this company and business model, and just go with your own contractor. Made easily costs twice what it should and takes up more of your own time to make sure you are not being swindled.

Lack of support and recognition

The fact that it's work from home is good. But the company overall is a terrible one to work in. The management is incompetent, and the company doesn't seem to have a clear direction. Also, the employees are rarely recognized for their efforts, and the management never provides any support.
