Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the payment and refund processes, frequently reporting unexpected charges and difficulty obtaining refunds, even for services not used or during trial periods. Customers also found the subscription practices unclear, with many being charged for annual plans they did not intend to purchase after signing up for free trials. The customer service was often described as slow, unhelpful, and unresponsive to billing inquiries and refund requests. However, some customers also noted positive aspects of the user experience, finding the unified dashboard helpful for making data-driven decisions. A few other people also felt that the support team was incredible, responsive, and went the extra mile to explain the tool and broader strategies.

Extremely disappointed with this…

Extremely disappointed with this company. I was charged $500 despite my clear request for account deletion. Their practices are abusive, and their handling of the dispute—pressuring customers to waive their rights—is unacceptable. Beware of a company that shows a complete lack of transparency and respect for its customers.

Terrible refund and client support

Awful client support and terrible refund policies. Requested a refund after only an hour of using it - they declined. Lots of hidden fees that depend on your ad spend and usage that are hidden at first in order to get the initial payment out of you. Would highly recommend to avoid!

SCAMMER MADGICX

I had a terrible experience with Madgicx and strongly advise everyone to stay away from their services.

I purchased their $67 lifetime deal, expecting a useful tool, but quickly realized the system was overly complicated and impractical. When I requested a refund because I wouldn’t be using the service, they flat-out refused—even though I hadn’t actually used it. Instead of providing any real support, they just hid behind their refund policy.

To make things worse, they charged me an extra $3 in small $1 transactions without any explanation. When I asked about the refund, I was contacted by someone named Neil John, who ultimately told me:
"After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we are unable to process a refund in this case, as this request does not align with our refund policies. The One Click Reporting lifetime deal can't be refunded as it's yours forever."

Here's the catch: This so-called "lifetime deal" only allows you to generate one single report—which makes "lifetime access" completely meaningless. They advertise "unlimited ad accounts", but what they don’t tell you is that you’re only able to create one report with those accounts. It’s misleading and deceptive.

This is a classic bait-and-switch. They use tricky sales tactics to lure people in, then refuse to issue refunds when customers realize they’ve been misled.

⚠️ Do not waste your money here! If you’re considering buying anything from Madgicx, RUN in the opposite direction and DO NOT PAY. There are much better and more transparent services out there.

Unauthorized Payment Taken – Refund Requested

I recently noticed that Madgcix charged me without my consent, even though I did not authorize the payment. My invoice number is 49099, and I have reached out to request a refund. This kind of practice is unacceptable, and I expect a prompt resolution.

I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company. I hope they take responsibility and process my refund as soon as possible.

I strongly advise against using Madgicx…

I strongly advise against using Madgicx due to their unethical billing practices and refusal to honor basic consumer rights.

I signed up for their 7-day free trial, barely used the service (less than 30 minutes total), and was automatically charged for an entire year. Within minutes of being billed, I canceled my plan and requested a refund—a reasonable request for a service I had no intention of using.

Instead of acting in good faith, Madgicx flat-out refused to process my refund, hiding behind their Terms of Service while ignoring EU consumer protection laws, which give customers 14 days to withdraw from digital services unless explicitly waived. When I pointed this out, they simply dismissed it, proving that they do not care about fair business practices or customer rights.

Customer support was rigid and unhelpful, showing zero flexibility even though I had canceled immediately after being charged. Instead of resolving the issue, they told me to "just file a chargeback" - a sign that they know their billing practices are shady.

This is not how a trustworthy company operates. If you value transparent pricing, fair refund policies, or even basic customer service, stay far away from Madgicx.

Integration with shopify not working

Currently the App is unable to retrive shopify data, it has beem weeks and they are saying its not their fault. For an app you pay more than 300$ per year, not having the shopify data (Hence all the reporting are false) is a huge issue for me . Waiting for the issue to be fixed this week

Scam bordering on corporate fraud

Scam bordering on corporate fraud, BEWARE this software, do not give them your CC
This company promised a free trial and claimed it needed my credit card to fulfill it.

The next time I check my accounts they are attempting to to bill $285 for a subscription I never consented to.

Attempts at communication with their team completely failed.

Attempts to shut down payment or cancel services in their app failed after hours of hunting for any interface which would even acknowledge they believed they had the entitlement to start charging my account.

I was doing a demo for a product they wanted under $30 for.

Hours of my work day lost, filing stop payments, writing emails to them, attempting to reason with them.

This software may have some value, but Ill never know... their trial is something I do not wish upon my worst enemies. Stay away, and beware.

Companies need to be founded that actually care about people, not just these scammy startups that manipulate people towards trusting them with something as simple as a credit card.

Attempts to delete the data they had already imported into their system also fell flat. There was no way I could find to request deletion of imported data, to stop attempts to pay, or to cancel services apart from messaging their "staff" whom in my experience have never responded.

Advice to management:

Any person in your team suggesting you should do any of the following should be immediately fired:

- hide any in app ability to cancel to reduce churn
- not disclose rights to deletion of data
- take a credit card from users prior to their consent to a charge
- charge a customer without acknlowledging a subscription in your interface
- sign someone up for a charge in fine print intended to "improve sales" by "tricking your potential customers"
- mislead your users about your intent to bill them
- provide superficial "feel good" features that offer no measurable benefit
- have trials any shorter then the time it actually takes for you to deliver at least the same measurable value you are planning to bill your customers for
- create demo videos that demonstrate features that do not exist or will not be exposed to your customers without payment up front, and then put "Free trial" on there with no intent to fulfill on that
- optimize for profitability at the expense of genuine value and genuine postive impact
- put more money into your marketing until you have a product that actually provides genuine value

Should be immediately fired.
An ethics oversight committee should be immediately implemented.

Ethics people. Caring about the user. . Not just "buying reviews" for your capterra page so that you look legit, to cover up the crooked hearts required to actually put a scammy software like this into the world.

While your marketing may drown out the chaos you are bringing into the world. those of us who care about the people trying to building businesses Will Speak Out, and eventually you need to actually invest in actually having substance under your marketing.

Update:

This post has been updated to reflect an opportunity to counter their false claims that they are an "ethical company" - Do NOT be fooled.

I stand by ethical companies, and work to build them, and any company that will trick you to justify taking money out of your account without your awareness should be SHUT DOWN by the FTC.

I am submitting a formal complaint to the FTC, companies like this truly give AI a bad name.

And yes, they will likely reply here based on past experience attempting to persuade you, the reader, that I must not know how things work ( gaslighting ), as they did on my last post, but I have evidence of the deception and defects, and am happy to help anyone get your money back who gets ripped off by this company.

STAY AWAY

Allow me to highlight some of the outright deceptive practices they claim based on their attempt to save face on the last review with a reply

on their site

"Pay only if you love it". FALSE
"100% free 7 day trial" FALSE
"We need your credit card just to validate your account" FALSE

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY - SCAMMY TECH

Wow, they seem to be literally purchasing fake reviews on here. The last review I read is literally the exact opposite of my experience.

This company deceived me into a "free trial" then immediately demanded and up charge when attempting to use the software.

Upon use of the software about 30% of the actual utility they had promised was outright broken, non functional. Another 30% was fake tech, like saying they would make you an ad with billions of data points and then having a half baked api call to something like GPT which you can basically do for free.

Finally the rest of the features literally just were all marketing fluff... my best sense wast that the whole company seemed to be a big fake marketing push that is optimized for ripping you off

It was a masterclass on ripping someone off literally, they employed every dark tactic I have ever read about, acting like they had a ferrari, just to get your money, and then refused any refund even when provided clear feedback that the tech was defective.

"I regret to inform you that we're unable to offer a refund, as it doesn’t align with our refund policy."

They say.

Literally - Stay away. Worst experience ever and I will be contacting my bank to have the charges reversed.

Terrible experience with Madgicx

Terrible experience with Madgicx. I paid for a subscription on January 25, 2025, but I can’t use the service because they’re asking me to pay old invoices for a period I didn’t use and never authorized. I’ve tried resolving this with their support team, but they refuse to refund the money for the new subscription or grant access to the service I paid for.

I do not recommend this company. Their billing policies are unclear, and their customer service is disappointing. If you’re considering using Madgicx, think twice—you might end up paying for a service you can’t use.

Extremely dubious...

I have spent days trialing AI platforms to help with my digital ads. I had high hopes for Madgicx but the customer experience and platform are shockingly bad. The AI generated creatives are terrible. Nothing provided would be usable on our social media channels. The dashboard of metrics looks nice but doesn't really offer me any value above what I can extract from Meta.

I've concluded that it's basically a money making machine targeting a) people who sign up for a free trial and don't understand the complex unsubscribe process and b) people who want added value by way of sophisticated creatives but who are willing to pay for this on top of the already expensive platform fee. (i.e. If I don't like the AI generated creatives, they'll connect with a human who can help for a fee - thanks :)

What I disliked the most? The complex customer journey designed to send you in circles. It was impossible to delete MY personal data from MY account (!) and in the end I had to raise a ticket with Meta to disconnect MY FB account from Madgicx. I can't actually believe this is lawful.

My final reflection is based on their Trustpilot reviews. How come most of the five star reviewers for Madgicx have only ever posted one review via their Trustpilot account?! And most of the five star reviews are posted on the few days after a period of time during which they received loads of 1 star ones?

I had high hopes - but in the space of 24 hours would go as far to suggest that no one give any personal or payment data to this company whose practices are extremely dubious.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT - DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!
Signed up for the trial with a $31 monthly. On their webpage it even has a note "Try for 7 free for 7 days. Cancel Anytime."

Needless to say, I synced my ads account to test. Within the trial I got hit with a FULL YEAR charge. Their support is terrible. There's no phone number, you have to contact through an AI support. They responded after hours of my inquiry. They let me know there are no refunds and that they will cancel my account and delete it. With NO REFUND. Completely understandable if they charge for a month but not a year. Once connected with an agent they made sure I would know this is a "Self Serve" solution and basically left me to my own to figure out what to do. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. After 3 days, I am still not able to delete my credit card from their site and all my ads account info is still there. They claim the only way to remove is by deleting the account.

Avoid Madgicx or double-check your billing

I signed up for a 7-day free trial and wasn’t clearly informed about an annual charge. After being billed unexpectedly, customer service refused a refund but switched me to monthly billing. Disappointed with the experience and wouldn’t recommend them.

Stay Away - Poor Customer Service

Horrible customer service. They refused to issue a simple refund and had the audacity to compare themselves to big companies like Netflix, which actually prioritize their customers. Unfortunately, this company just plays games with its customers. Save yourself the hassle and stay far away!

I signed up for a 7 day free trial and…

I signed up for a 7 day free trial and signed up for the ad library to also get a free trial there. Apparently when you cancel your free trial - you also need to talk to them to have it cancelled- well guess what I cancelled it the day before thanksgiving. No time to talk to them. In addition - it never cancelled the second product (which I’ve never used) and apparently that’s not within their refund policy. Even though I requested a refund within their first day days. The whole backend regarding unsubscribing is tricky. The landing page itself was a little tricky (I took screenshots of things before signing up because I was a little concerned) and yeah I think they kind of abuse people with not being clear about costs and upsales. I’m actually super upset with the whole process.

Poor service & customer service

I’ve been a client of Madgicx, using their platform for ad optimization, and decided to try their additional service, Sparkle, by upgrading to their highest tier for $777. I was expecting quality visuals to enhance my campaigns, but the entire experience turned out to be a complete disaster.

The Sparkle team clearly lacks the expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail they claim to provide. For context, they sent me documents that were sized like a favicon—absolutely unusable. The visuals they created were AI-generated, full of glitches and text errors that anyone with basic standards would reject. To make things worse, they delivered a video featuring a teenage boy when my target audience is career-driven professionals in their 30s to 50s. I couldn’t believe this was the result from their “top-tier” service.

When I asked for a refund, I was told it would be processed in 28 days. I followed up weekly to ensure everything was on track. After patiently waiting, I was ignored once the deadline passed. Eventually, they flat-out refused to issue the refund, offering me service credits instead. I had already told them I’d moved on to someone far more competent, so this felt like an insult.

Madgicx’s customer support is great—when they’re trying to get you to pay. They’ll call you regularly, book demos, and bombard you with offers. But the moment you expect accountability or a refund, they vanish. They ghost you, dodge responsibility, and leave you hanging.

Since this fiasco, I’ve found much better platforms for ad management and creative services. Compared to what’s available today, Madgicx feels outdated and overhyped. Their entire operation seems built on flashy marketing rather than actual results.

If you’re considering Madgicx or Sparkle—don’t. Save yourself the headache. There are far more reliable, professional options out there that will deliver the quality you pay for.
