The Monteer 3500 has become my go to light for longer night rides and Ultra Endurance races since 2022. The max power is crazy bright (3500lm) for road... too bright even! So I often run it at 1000-1200lm, using 3 of the 5 LEDs, I've also got the larger MJ-6118 10Ah battery which increased the burn time to 150% and means I can ride all the way through 3 (summer) nights at 1000lm and flash it up to the brighter settings for more technical sections and off road. The one down side I have, is because I run mine upsidedown under my bike computer using the garmin mount system which is great, but this puts a really tight bend in the power cable between my bike computer and where it goes into the lights body, so it would be nicer if the cable enters the light in a different location, but I've put some surgu silicone rubber to give it extra support and weather proofing against the extra strain I'm putting it under there and had zero issues. The light quality has a really natural hue to it and a good beam pattern and spread, so it really does live up to the 'turns night into day' claim, so I'd really recommend it.

I also have the RN3000, which is a brilliant light too, but have to say I prefer the Monteer, as having the separate battery keeps the headlamp unit light, so it doesn't bounce around like most big powerful lights where the battery and light is all one unit.

I bought the RN 3000 for mountain biking. Great light. Small and compact, very user friendly and extremely bright, I’ve haven’t had to use it on full power yet. On mid brightness using both lamps, the battery has lasted for ages. On a side note, the people at Magicshine are very helpful and respond to any questions asked almost immediately. I’ve fired a few questions at Nick Keat and he’s been great.

On my 3rd set of magicshine lights (now the monteer 8k) and many rear tail lights, absolutely brilliant, only ever changed due to upgrading.

I used a rn 1500 light everyday to go to work. I also used it for bike training by night on city,countryside and mountains. After 2 years I'm extremely happy of the lamp it works as good as 2 years ago. Just be careful to not used without movement because its heating up but this is normal for the power of the lamp. I recommend this lamp for intensive bike training by night but also for work-home travel.

Superb lights. Light weight, compact and convenient for the commute but also shines brightly enough to enjoy a few trails on the way home.

I 1st came across magicshine a couple of years ago and became a ambassador for them. Since then i have loved there amazing lights and will never use any other bike lights ever again i personally think they are the best on the market and well worth buying you would not be disappointed 1 bit

Impressive internet reviews by trusted parties and slick website, thats where the good news ends. Placed order and paid for 48 hour delivery, £300 light was never dispatched. Multiple website 'Contact Us' files claimed with no response so contacted magicshine.com the USA team multiple times and no replies. Managed eventually to find a mobile number for the Bodmin UK agent who advised Royal Mail have the goods probably in a bag thrown in the corner of the depot, don't worry it will turn up - two weeks later it hasn't so claim made on Mastercard - steer well clear

Quick deliveries, quick responses to emails and resolved an issue where I had put myself out of pocket by ordering the wrong things. They were really responsive to emails and sent another item I needed to the value that I was down. This option suited me better than sending things back and refunds as I was keen to get back out on my bike.
