New Magimix power blender. Doesn't crush ice and frozen vegetables well. Very noisy. Overpriced.
Edit: bought in Denmark

Magimix raves about its motor life, but fails to mention that essential parts like the lid are designed to fail within a short period, at which point they will charge an exorbitant cost for replacement (purchasing both bowl and lid as package being mandatory - I now own 3 bowls and no lids), before replacing entirely with a different design requiring £95 'Conversion kit', plus replacement of all additional accessories you purchased previously which will no longer work. Would you trust this company's suggestion that its base will continue working long enough for this to be worthwhile? Better to buy a new machine from any other company than Magimix, whose wonderful bases with their long-lived motors are doubtless all languishing in landfill somewhere due to the impossibility of obtaining the parts needed for their continued use.
Gave second star because without the lid issue, I actually loved the machine.
I bought a mini chopper a few years ago after having very good experiences with my magimix food processor. The mini chopper was of poor quality and hardly used. When the push button broke I contacted customer services to be dismissed out of hand as it was out of warranty. Poor quality product poor quality customer service
The lid of my food processor has just cracked. This is the second one I have needed since purchasing my food processor. This time Magimix has said I need to purchase a whole new bowl set! For £99! Talk about plastic overload. I have no intention of doing this as I can buy a Which recommended processor for only £20 more than the bowl set.
Magimix should be utterly ashamed of their after sales service.
Their highly promoted 30 year motor warranty is apparently only valid to the original owner.
So if they die and you inherit the machine the warranty is worthless.
This multinational corporation gains a lot of credence with the promotion of this warranty but is obviously a penny pinching company with zero respect or concern for its consumers
I have been trying to purchase a Magimix Premium Blender and been in contact with their customer service UK – which appears to be covered by 1 person – since December 20 to no avail! Item remains Out of stock when asking for ETA‘s, dates keep slipping or no response at all! Asked them to proactively inform me so that I don’t have to check their website daily –} no response. With the experience sofar I had concerns with their after sales service and I am so glad that I googled reviews and came across this site. Will definitely not be purchasing now and choose competitor blender.
I came to this site because the lid of my Magimix 4200 main bowl has cracked again! My machine is now 10 years old and I have always been pleased with the performance - but - this is the third cracked lid I have experienced. I always wash by hand, never dishwasher and having contacted Magimix I can only purchase a complete set of bowls at a cost of £95. So like many of you who have written before me, this 'aint gonna happen! Super glue to effect a temporary repair and then the search for a better quality food processor.
Totally agree with the negative comments: overpriced rubbish. I had thought I was buying something to last and last, especially given its light use. How wrong I was. Avoid this brand.
Ordered top of the range magimix in June. Haven’t used it much because the buttons for pulse, auto and stop do not work at all. Also the handle on the bowl is very flimsy.
Finally, you can only put the lid and bowl in the dishwasher if you take it out before the drying cycle!!
Seriously, how many of us stand over the dishwasher waiting for it to finish washing, quickly scooping out these items to dry manually???
For this price, I would have expected better. Having had Magimixes for over 40 years, the design and durability in my opinion is not as good as it used to be.
The top of the range Magimix food processor (4200XL) is incredibly disappointing. The small bowl has to be used inside the bigger bowl so you always end up with mountains of washing up - and few of the components have a suitable draining position as water-collecting pockets are present on all surfaces.
Dry ingredients (e.g. Making breadcrumbs) get stuck under the lid, so opening it deposits food all over the countertop.
The grater and slicer disks don't complete the job and you have to pick through food to extract the unprocessed lumps.
The whole contraption is too big, too heavy and just badly designed compared to the original version that served us very well from 1986 until recently.
I had an amazing customer service experience. I contacted them via the website contact form as I had an issue with my 5200xl food processor. Jenny was so helpful. She sent me the replacement parts in about 10 days (I contacted Magimix just before the long weekend). Amazing service!

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT BUY A MAGIMIX. I purchased the mixer from John Lewis and after using it once, it stopped working. Because it was over 30 days John Lewis referred me to Magimix. I was unable to get through on the phone, despite being on hold for 15 minutes each time I called. Customer services do not answer emails, I have had to constantly chase for responses and I am still unable to use my machine since the beginning of May. Very poor service.
I would give a 0 star if I could as 1 star is far to generous. Please don't buy from this company they are awful. In fact at the time of writing this I am the 5th person to leave a review on this website and all 5 of us have marked them as 1 star so 100% bad reviews. Learn the lessons from myself and the other reviewers about just how poor they are. Magimix DO NOT care about their customers. I have had nothing but issues since buying my product in April. Firstly one of the attachments for my multifunction 4200xl food processor was missing. Granted they sorted this out but only because John Lewis had given me a direct line number for someone who works there due to lockdown and that is not normal practice. I also bought the product whilst there was a promotion on for a free spiralizer kit which swayed me to buy from them as there were many other companies I could have bought from instead with equally as good products. I waited my allotted amount of time to receive the kit which I had qualified for and received an email from UPS to tell me that my product would arrive on a certain date and from there it has all gone wrong. The kit never arrived and so I chased with Magimix. At first they were helpful and contacted UPS. I later discovered from UPS that they did not receive the parcel from Magimix until after I had chased it and UPS had only received the instructions from them to create the label ready for processing. Then again I get another date for delivery. Again the kit did not arrive. This time it transpired that the driver had said that he had delivered but he hadn't and he had done the same with 2 other parcels in my area. Fair enough that was UPS's fault second time round. UPS then set up a 'lost parcel' claim which meant they would pay Magimix back for the missing parcel. I again had to email Magimix to get another one sent out to me as by this time no one was answering on the telephone number provided to me by John Lewis. Again I was told that the parcel would be with me by the following week and again the parcel did not arrive. I have now had to contact them 7 times to TRY get these problems sorted out. They are no longer responding to my emails and they are no longer receiving calls. When I try to call the number I was given there is just a message stating that you have to contact them via online form which I have also done and I have also not had a reply from. I tried searching for their complaints procedure which they don't seem to have either. They are an absolute shambles. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of trying to contact. So as of this time I do not have the spiralizer kit which was the reason I bought the product from them. I have no one responding to my attempts to contact them and I have no way of making a complaint. They are utterly useless, steer clear.
Bought a really expensive magimix cook expert for Christmas and guess what... the bowl doesn’t work! £1100 lost. Now trying to get a new one but they’re making my life impossible. They don’t have a customer service phone number. All they do is send me incompetent emails. They say they sent it but nothing has arrived and I think they’re lying. Good advice: test before you buy and don’t break it cause you won’t get any help.
