Laura and Magnetic North were awesome start to finish for our Lapland honeymoon. She was extremely responsive and helped us plan exactly what we wanted to do that would fit into our budget, even though we weren't exactly sure what we were looking for from the beginning. The trip Laura put together for us was everything we hoped for - and we'll have to go again since we missed out on the Northern Lights!

My partner and I booked our honeymoon to Tromso through magnetic north scheduled for December 2020. They were fantastic with the covid situation and informed us about the situation with our trip ASAP. We did unfortunately have to propone it for a year which magnetic north took care off without an issue.

Regarding the activities they recommend, they understood our wants and needs, everything the recommend was perfect. We managed to see humpback whales, go dog sledding, ski on a frozen lake and see the amazing northern lights.

The hotel malangen resort is a must stay. We couldn't believe our views everyday waking up. Christmas day we woke up to snow covered mountains with the fjord water gently spraying our back door, truly amazing. This was a recommendation from magnetic north. If your planning to book with them, really listen to what they have to say, it's really good advise.

We will 100% be using then again.

My family and I took a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Finland and Sweden in December. Laura Greenman from Magnetic North Travel coordinated the entire trip and her service was 5-star. She chose wonderful hotels and exciting excursions. We also received great service from the airfare coordinator. I would definitely recommend Magnetic North for your travel needs!

Laura did an amazing job putting together one of our most memorable trips. All we said was, "we'd like to travel to Finland in search of Northern Lights", and she put together an itinerary that far exceeded our expectations.

We stayed in Lapland, at Nangu Lodge. The service there was great, and the food was quite good as well. We had daily excursions including snow mobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing and dog sledding. Our days and nights were filled with activities and adventure as we explored a true winter wonderland.

We saw Northern Lights on 3 of the 6 nights there. Incredible!

We got in contact with Magnetic North to go on their Christmas Lapland adventure 2020, Laura sorted out a fantastic itinerary that was packed with snowy adventures, we were so excited but covid got in the way! Laura sorted out all the disruption and rebooked us for this Christmas. It didn’t disappoint, we had the best Magical Christmas, seeing the Northern Lights 4 nights on the trot, husky ride, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling across the lake, visiting the local reindeer herder on Christmas Day (and yes, Rudolph got back safely!) eating a delicious Lappish Christmas Eve meal in a traditional wooden hut.. the list goes on! All made possible by Laura, she was always in contact, helping navigate the ever changing rules of travel. The Magnetic North app was great to have, up to date weather, kit list and travel information. All in all this was such a special snowy trip we all enjoyed as a family. We would definitely use and recommend this company.

We asked magnetic north to stick an itinerary together as we wanted to try something different this year.

They did not fail. Norway was breathtaking, Tromso is a quit little town with loads to do. The Panorama Arctic Lodge was outstanding host Svein was a character and could jot do enough for his guests (including hanging around for an extra 30 mins to ensure we saw more Orcas in the fjord)

The flights were a bit tight and some disparity between the app and the airport Laura at Magnetic North sorted that for us (on Xmas day so big thanks to her)

Would fully Recommend to anyone wanting to see the northern lights, see orca and humpback whales and husky sledging to just book it and go

I contacted Magnetic North to help plan a trip to Lapland as although I normally travel independently I was finding it tricky to find suitable accommodation/put together an itinerary. I contacted Laura with flights to Stockholm already booked and talked her through what I wanted. She came back with an itinerary that was spot on first time. Having booked, the service was fantastic. Great advice around the COVID restrictions, no question was too much trouble in general. An app was provided with all our travel details so we knew exactly what was happening & when & had everything in one place. On arrival in Sweden the plan worked like clockwork from the minute we got on the sleeper train to the minute we were dropped at the airport. Would highly recommend.

I had Magnetic North Travel arranged a 10 day trip to Finnish Lapland for my wife and I in Nov 21. Despite the short notice (2 weeks before the trip), Laura who was our contact managed to plan and book all the accommodation in time. Furthermore, when we request for changes in activities even during the trip (a couple of days before they take place), she was able to make the changes as we requested. Lastly, whenever there were any issues during the trip, she responded promptly to our email and Whatsapp messages.

This is my 2nd experience with Magnetic North and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great and smooth Nordic experience!

Laura, Magnetic North is a wonderful travel manager. Laura planned an excellent personalised trip to Arctic Norway that involved quite a lot of flights, a boat trip, escorted trips and several hotel bookings. All were excellent. Whilst we were in Norway, we also had daily updates from Laura who revised and made us aware of any changes. The service from Laura is excellent.

We could NOT have asked for better service from Magnetic North! We saw the Northern lights and cooked dinner on the bonfire, everything from a-to-z was an awesome experience.

This was a totally different type of holiday for us and the staff was always on hand to help with everything and make changes as needed. A truly bespoke holiday for us!

We had a wonderful vacation in Iceland coordinated by Magnetic North Travel. Our contact person at MNT was superb. She was organized, easy to communicate with, prompt, and very responsive to my inquires and requests.
We are planning another trip with MNT next year.
I have used many travel companies and this company is superior. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Four of us spent 12 days in Iceland on a trip put together by Laura Greenman of Magnetic North. We drove a rental car on the Ring Road around the island, and spent two days on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula before returning to Reykjavik. We worked with Laura ahead of time to fine tune trip details, after which she made all the arrangements. She set up a WhatsApp account for all of us so that we were able to be in constant contact, and she always responded quickly; for instance, when a restaurant claimed not to have a reservation for us, she immediately sent a copy of their confirmation letter. She did a great job, and we would be happy to have her arrange another trip for us. We enthusiastically recommend her.

We used Magnetic North for our honeymoon to Iceland in December 2019. I’m only just getting round to writing the review some 18 months later, but that in itself may speak for the impression left by the company, and Annie who we dealt with throughout.

Right from the outset Annie was so helpful in planning all the details. Genuine local knowledge within the company helped to offer various options to accommodate our preferences, personalities, budget and some plans we had via 3rd parties - all presented beautifully and with personable communication throughout.

Everything they planned and suggested gave us our perfect honeymoon without a single regret. We did things we wouldn’t otherwise have considered but planning and decision-making still became so easy. It’s worth noting that while this was an expensive trip to us, it was by no means no-expense-spared and so suggestions were always made with budget in mind.

While we were there we encountered a big storm. Had we tried to arrange the holiday ourselves I’m confident we’d have had to write off almost half of our plans but, thanks again to Annie and Magnetic North, our honeymoon was almost entirely uninterrupted. Plans were juggled around to suit the weather conditions with nothing more than a “yes please” needed from us. They had even been monitoring local weather and checked in to advise on when we should travel from our first accommodation to our second - in all seriousness, we could’ve been stranded on a fairly isolated mountainside if it wasn’t for that.

Our perfect honeymoon became an effortless reality thanks to Magnetic North - we can’t wait to book somewhere with them again.

Unlike many posters here, we actually made it to the Faroe Islands and WOW, what a destination. Yes, we had lots of pre travel rearrangements and stresses due to the changing advice and colour coding of countries, but always felt that Laura had her finger on the pulse and was all over the changes and requirements as they arose and occurred.
The itinerary suited us well, with a mix of seeing, doing and hiking. All the hotels, car hire and booked excursions were as planned and without issue on arrival. Hotel accommodation on the islands isn't exactly classy, especially in a pandemic (and Vagar!), but all was clean, comfortable and welcoming.

We did experience of number of covid related issues around travelling to the Faroes but Laura was on hand and very quick to try and sort - although out of her hands, and continued to check in with us to make sure all was OK. Would definitely recommend Magnetic North for your Arctic area travels.

Booked a four night trip to see Santa's village and reindeer sledging, huskies, the northern lights Everything was taken care of by Angela Hewitt who sorted all out for us including booking flights etc.But due to COVID hitting the trip was rescheduled several times which didn't seem to be a problem to Magnetic North. Then on the final reschedule my other half who is a very nervous plane passenger decided getting on two planes rather than one was just too much ,!!! So we decided to cancel until all this madness is over and we can get straight there on one flight and with some peace The refund was straight forward without any problems or fighting to get our money back, it was a very pleasant and professional service given by Angela Hewitt and Laura I would definitely recommend this company and will definitely be booking through them again when the time is right...Thank you all

Great to work with during Covid and problems with traveling out of the country The company was extremely helpful. I was pleased with the ease in dealing with them.

My friend and I booked an ice skating adventure with city add on in Finland. Covid has interrupted our plans, but the Magnetic North team could not have been more helpful regarding return of deposit, and readiness to re-book for us in the future. We loved their holiday and city suggestions and they were able to answer any questions we had really swiftly. Keep up the excellent work team, and long may you stay in business

This company is so very trustworthy. Our holiday, (which was so professionally researched and each need catered for, organised and promptly booked) was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID. Despite the company's non refundable deposit policy, Laura contacted me and offered the refund. We looking forward to rebooking with Magnetic North Travel again soon, with the knowledge that every request we wish for will be met. The staff really work hard to keep the customer's interests and needs in mind. So lucky to have discovered them.

Magnetic created an awesome itinerary for a group of 10 to experience Iceland. Very organized, professional, and responsible. Built exactly the right tour to our liking and specifications. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit resulting in a cancellation. Magnetic and Laura were extremely professional and understanding, offering several solutions pertinent to the deposit that we had paid. This company is very trustworthy, and it is clear they had the back of their customers, placing us before themselves. I would highly recommend this company and we do plan to return to Laura and Magnetic once the pandemic (and the current ban on Americans) lifts so that we can experience Iceland. MN was very responsive to my inquiries and request for changes in my itinerary. After an initial discussion about travel objectives, their initial proposal was very close to what I was looking for; I chose them vs another company I was also exploring because I felt their initial response was more in-line with our conversation. I would recommend MN to any traveler to Iceland. Amidst our trip when we had weather issues that cancelled our plans, they were in close contact and helpful in trying to re-route our plans.
