Honest and trustworthy

Used these guys both for a hot water service, for which they were on time, polite and extremely cheap, and today for emergency advice over the phone, when they helped me fix the problem myself without charging me anything. Really honest, reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Brilliant work on a tricky job

The Maintracts team was brilliantly efficient and communicative throughout the 3 week process of installing a new boiler, water tank and bathroom renovation. Malcolm was always available to field any questions, and Miatek, Toby and the rest of the team were always punctual and professional. Very pleased with the outcome and would recommend without hesitation.

Fast, efficient, professional

Our hot water suddenly stopped working from our Megaflow system. I rang at 7am, Oliver responded immediately and explained they were incredibly busy but would see if they could re-arrange work schedules to accommodate me. True to his word, Toby was around within 5 hours and immediately identified the issue, fixed the problem and we had hot water back up and running within the hour. Great service, fantastic response, very professional and at very reasonable cost...can't recommend them enough.

Overcharging

We had issues with our basement pump and were charged £282 for a "call out" where they did absolutely nothing beyond investigate possible causes of the flooding, then quoted nearly £2,000 to fit a replacement pump. Got a second quote from a specialist who charged under £500 for the exact same job. Save your money and use another plumber, these people are trying to scam you

Many thanks for your feedback William. I'm sorry that you're unhappy with the service and quotation which we provided.

Our quotation comprises of £950 labour, £584 for the Grundfos pump, £62 for the suction hose, £35 for connections/fittings and £43 for sundries. The quoted work would take a full day.

We are an established company and cannot compete with smaller independents who don't provide a comparable service. However, £500 to carry out the same job doesn’t seem realistic. A good quality pump which is fit for purpose costs more than what you have been quoted for the complete job. I also suspect that the quotation doesn’t include replacing the discharge hose or adjusting the electrical supply.

I did confirm our charges with you on 3rd October prior to arranging the initial appointment. Our operative inspected and tested the installation but found that the pump and electrical supply to operate satisfactorily during the time that they spent at your property. They inspected and tested thoroughly to investigate the problem. We only charged for our time spent at your property, in accordance with the labour rate quoted previously. We advised you to monitor the installation and advise if you experience any further problems.

I also offered to offset 50% of the previous labour charge against the cost of the quoted work.

Replacement boiler and controller

Last week, Matthew installed a Glow-worm 25 boiler with a Honeywell portable controller. Malcom had previously been round and done the quote.

Not much to say, except that it's all working well and that they do seem to have a good attitude and do things right. I'm very happy with the work and may well use them for other jobs I have in mind.

Maintracks Plumbing engineers

Toby and a coworker from Maintracks fitted a new hot water cylinder in our attic. It is a tight space. They worked all day , making a minimum of fuss; they kept me fully informed of what they were doing, they were extremely professional and pleasant to have in the house. They turned the water back on as soon as they could and notified me. They left everything very neat and tidy - I am extremely pleased with the work that they did and would definitely ask them to help again.

Refurbishment of old heating

Malcolm did an initial survey, discussed it with Matthew and the end result was a significantly improved system using the original Vaillant boilers, so saving unnecessary expense, and adding an improved low loss header, stronger pump and nest control unit to improve the original system.
A drain problem was discovered and the maintracts team delt with that quickly and well.

Polite, reliable and efficient service

Maintracts and the team went over and above when dealing with a recent flooding in my basement.
Quickly established the problem with my tenants and rectified it over the phone without a call out saving me money.

Emergency electrician

At 10pm on a Sunday, a switch in my property broke causing all the lights to switch off.

After phoning the telephone line we quickly got on FaceTime - diagnosed the problem and fixed it.

A very professional service. Whilst he didn’t come out - it shows the honesty of the individual not to charge. Will definitely be using in the future

The Best of The Best!

We live in this age, those fortunate enough, with wondrous technology that makes life better. Heat pumps are among these marvels. That said, from time to time they need servicing. Sometimes this requires a full refit. More often, given expert direction, a relatively simple set of actions can fix your problem.

Such was the case today with Maintracts Plumbing Services. Special thanks, then, to one of their best, Malcolm, whose tireless efforts got our hot water back on line this afternoon.

It was a cold start on a Sunday morning, but going back to work on Monday is going to be better than ever.

I had a recent issue and Oliver Osmore could not have been more helpful over the telephone, out of hours.
In fact the whole Maintracts team have always been responsive and clearly knowledgeable

Excellent service!

One of our tenants had a problem with a broken tap and had no water in the apartment, and Malcolm from Maintracts swiftly helped her regain access to the water supply. Very polite and professional. I would not hesitate to contact them again for help.

Brilliant service

From first enquiring about our job to finishing and clearing up took less than 24 hours! Toby was brilliant, really fast and knowledgable. We had asked for a consultation re our ancient water heater on top of some other jobs and he took the time to talk through exactly what the current problem was and what possible next steps could be. Would highly recommend this company to anyone, and would happily use their services in the future.

Toby from maintracts was excellent. Very clear and helpful. Explained the initial problem and our options. Then later returned and installed our new boiler which is working great in a really friendly and professional manner. Excellent service and would highly recommend.
