Been having problems with the water…

Been having problems with the water pressure in our showers since we had a mega flow cylinder installed by another plumber. Called Maintracts for their opinion and they sent Toby their pressure specialist. Toby was excellent, he provided two options in a very clear way that I understood. After deciding which option we wanted, a DAB Esy tank and pump, the work was booked in very quickly. Toby was very knowledgable, extremely competent, arrived right on time and answered all of my questions. New equipment instalment quickly and smoothly. After service excellent as well, when I needed paper work for the Tank warrantee it was mailed over same day. Highly recommend.

Best plumbers in Wimbledon.

We have been using Maintracts Services the last 7 years and we just had new installation put in for increased water pressure . It works very well. Toby and his team did an amazing job and we can highly recommend Maintracts . Very satisfied customers and follow up from Toby was very good.

Thank you for Jake's brilliant work

Thank you for Jake's brilliant work. We noticed a leak on our floor and in the pipe, but initially, we didn't realise there were more serious issues beneath the floor. After conducting a thorough inspection, he informed us that the pipe needed immediate replacement and assisted us in carrying out the entire replacement!

Many thanks for his exceptional work; we truly appreciate his service and his attitude. He is a genuinely nice person, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have him. During his visit, he also brought a dust mat to help protect the floor. I wholeheartedly recommend his excellent work and feel fortunate to have benefited from his service.

Maintracts promptly fixed an electrical issue in our kitchen. We have used Maintracts for years for all domestic services including plumbing and gas boiler servicing. Always professional, polite, friendly and punctual. Recommended.

Very impressed

I had a problem with my combi boiler.
Maintracts sorted out the problem very quickly efficiently at a really reasonable price. The engineer was on time, very polite and efficient.
I will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Radiator replacements and moving

I recently needed all of my radiators updating and one moving to a different wall. Toby was really helpful when it came to explaining what was possible and giving his expert advice. Maintracts then understood my tight deadlines and found a cancelled appointment so that I wouldn't need to push back my project timelines.
The work was done quickly, efficiently and to a high standard. I will definitely use him again for future projects.

Dragged out work to overcharge

I used Maintracts a long time ago for a full boiler and tank renewal and previously recommended them to my friends. My recent experience though was so bad I can only assume something has gone badly wrong at the company. I called them out to diagnose and sort a peculiar drain down of my Megaflow tank (which they had originally installed). The plumber arrived and reviewed, with my help, over the course of 25 minutes, during which time he also took an incoming phone call. He diagnosed the issue and quoted £641+VAT to fit three minor parts on a subsequent visit to fix the problem. He then charged me £120 for the investigation. My issues are that I believe that this fix should have been done on the spot, it was not significant and the parts could have been easily sourced locally if not generally carried, and the quote to come back was absurd. I subsequently bought the parts myself and one of their peer plumbing companies efficiently fitted them for under £200. I don't know if the particular Maintracts plumber I met was a bad apple but it certainly does not reflect well on the business. I will no longer be using them.

We are sorry that you are not happy with the service that we have provided.

We have attempted to contact you today to discuss this matter but haven't received an answer or a reply.

We attended to your property as you had been attempting to recharge the air gap on your Megaflo unvented hot water cylinder and without success. Our operative established that the secondary circulation pump and circuit required isolating before the air gap could be regenerated. We demonstrated how to carry out this work, but the pump valves were not in working order and therefore needed to be replaced. We also recommended that a single check valve was fitted at the same time. Our operative wasn’t carrying the parts required to undertake the repairs immediately. We provided a quotation to return and carry out this work. We also provided you with advice regarding new pipework which you intended to install yourself in your bathroom.

When you initially enquired regarding our service, we confirmed our labour rate and advised that we have a minimum of a 1 hour charge and charge in half hour increments afterwards. Our operative arrived at 8:25am and left at 9:21am. These times were confirmed on our invoice, which you signed and acknowledged. We charged for 1 hours labour at the rate which had been quoted to you and you made payment on the same day.

We do not agree that you were overcharged for either the initial visit or for the further recommended work. We monitor our prices regularly against our direct competitors. We have been established for 50 years, provide a 24/7 service and we are fully insured and registered with the necessary trade associations. Considering the service and guarantees that we provide, it is not possible for us to compete with smaller companies or independent tradesman. Once we had provided you with our professional diagnosis of the problem and advised how we would address the problem, it was possible for you to purchase the necessary materials yourself and obtain a more competitive quotation to install these.

We also do not believe that it is reasonable to expect our operative to have been carrying the parts required so that they could carry out the repairs required during their initial visit to your property. A heating system comprises of numerous components, and it is not physically possible for us to carry all of these parts.

We trust that this information is of assistance. We would be glad to be of assistance in the future, if necessary.

A big thank you

I am an administrator for a Church hall in Wimbledon. Last Monday, we had no heating so I called Matthew on a video call. He was able to guide me through a fault finding process and he then identified the problem. I needed a ladder to reach the problem and he stayed on the call to ensure that I was safe and talk me through the process of opening a motorised valve. Amazing customer service. Thank you Matthew,

Superb

Superb, a God-send, immediately helpful, super kind & patient, & worked out problem over whatsapp, looking at the boiler & explaining to us what to do. Thank you, thank you. And all at 9pm on a Sunday evening!
Having arrived in flat at 8.30pm on Sunday night to discover boiler wasn't working, we were despondent to say the least. And now all I can do is marvel that men as kind as Malcolm are out there, prepared to give of their time & expertise to complete strangers on a Sunday night (thank you too to his wife). And am extremely grateful to now be in a warm flat with hot water, and the damp feel being taken out of the flat.
