During my freediving expedition in the Red Sea, I brought along their Luna Neon Pink Long Sleeve swimsuit, and it was a hit! Almost every girl on the trip inquired about where I purchased it. Not only did it look incredibly cute and stylish, but the quality was also outstanding. I wore it consistently throughout the week-long journey, and it remained comfortable day after day. If you're looking for durable and fashionable swimwear, I wholeheartedly suggest their swimsuits.

Made for active movement in the ocean! My Makara suits stay on and feel secure when I am surfing or freediving. Everything feels really well-made from the material and stitching to the zipper and clasps, and I love that the material is sustainable. The designs are simple and classy.

Got the royal blue Luna long sleeve and it is the cutest, most FLATTERING suit. The cut makes you feel so confident and this color I can see would amazing on anyone and everyone! I hope to have one in every color one day, along with many of their other styles! Everything is so chic and adds a whole new element of style for water sports. I would even wear it under shorts as a cute bodysuit! 🤭 Thank you for creating such an amazing piece Makara!

The perfect swimsuit for any summer activity. The model is soft, elegant and shapes the body perfectly. It is the only swimsuit I would use for water sports as it is very trustworthy when it comes to support and coverage.

Love the Luna long sleeve I have the royal blue and it’s so comfy and soft material, got the long sleeve mainly for diving and snorkelling. I also use it for cold plunges. Its pretty good quality and would buy more colours :)

Love, love, LOVE this suit! Bought the lilac long sleeve and it’s perfect for a whole range of activities, whether I’m surfing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, or just snorkeling. It’s super nice quality and really flattering. The sizing is actually pretty accurate as well and no slip ups even in rough water! Will be buying this is more colors!

I saw this brand advertised on Instagram and I knew I had to buy the bright pink swimsuit!! Having not brought from them before I didn’t know how good it would be. When it came it was more than I could of hoped for! Vibrant colour, perfect fit, stunning open back and flattering on the bum!! It’s a shame I can’t add photos to this review as I just had some Mermazing pictures taken wearing it in Egypt 10/10 from me! Buy it now!! Was a bit concerned about sizing at first but the range of body of representation (including curvy women like me) assured me I would be able to fit the suit! Love the style and material too and will definitely return to buy more!

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Makara regarding the purchase of this long sleeve suit, and I feel compelled to express my frustration and dissatisfaction. This entire ordeal has left me profoundly disappointed and has raised serious doubts about the company's integrity.

Right from the start, the suit I received was already damaged before I even tried it on. I made sure to clearly communicate this issue in my initial communications, providing ample evidence through photos that clearly depicted the damage upon receipt. However, to my disbelief, both the manager and the manufacturer reviewed the evidence and shockingly concluded that the damage occurred after I had received it. They based this conclusion on a photo provided by the manufacturer, conveniently cutting off the area where the damage was visible. Furthermore, they claimed that I had caused the damage while trying on the suit, which was highly unprofessional and unfounded. This complete contradiction of facts and the dismissal of my experience left me deeply disheartened.

To make matters worse, the company refused to take responsibility for the damaged item. I was astonished to learn that they have a policy of not replacing damaged items. This policy not only lacks fairness but also demonstrates a clear disregard for customer satisfaction and product quality.

Furthermore, the proposed resolution offered by the company was a 50% discount on my next order using a discount code. While this may seem like an attempt to make amends, it completely fails to address the core issue at hand. A discount on a future purchase does not rectify the immense disappointment and inconvenience caused by the damaged item and the inadequate response from the company.

Moreover, the entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Makara's customer service. The lack of understanding and empathy displayed towards me, coupled with the failure to provide a satisfactory resolution, speaks volumes about the company's priorities. I wanted to love this long sleeve suit and wear it to a surf camp in just a week, but instead, I was left feeling completely unheard, deeply disappointed, and frustrated with the entire experience. My sister, who is an avid surfer, recommended this company to me, and I was genuinely excited about purchasing from them. However, after everything that has transpired, I cannot in good conscience recommend Makara to anyone. My 2 other sisters will no longer be purchasing from them, after the experience I've had.

Based on my firsthand experience, I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing this suit and my interaction with Makara have been. It is disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and product quality. I sincerely hope that Makara reevaluates its policies and practices to prevent others from enduring a similarly disappointing experience.

I ordered the paddlesuit with the cut out back. While the product appears to be made reasonably well, like all the reviews here, it does appear to be a bit of a scam with the quality definitely did not match the price and it did come from Indonesia which was a big surprise as like others have said, they try to make themselves appear European. The fit of the paddlesuit is really not flattering with no support and a weird side boob thing happening. The sleeves are also really weird and are designed to look over your finger which is actually not at all practical for free diving. Would not recommend. Would not be a return customer.

Makara Wear claims to be European but is in reality a drop shipping business operating from Indonesia, which leads to massive import taxes (38%) that have to be paid by the customer on top of the normal order amount.

They hide this information in their shipping terms and don't mention it visibly in the checkout process. I decided to reject the delivery and return the package immediately. In such an instance, the sender gets to decide what to do with the package and Makara decided to ship it back to Indonesia. This results in re-import taxes, which they plan on deducting from my refund.

This whole process happened a month ago and I am still waiting for my refund or any update on the package status.

So do yourself a favor and don't order from this business.
