Makitas Power Tools won't go the distance
I am extremely frustrated and I thoroughly dissatisfied with Makita's 18v & 240V building and construction power tool range. Despite purchasing a large variety of these power tools, they mostly only last for the duration of the limited warranty period and lack the durability to withstand regular use. As once the warranty period is over, these tools tend to break, smoke, or both. It's frustrating that they don't last long, and to make matters worse, the cost of replacement parts is nearly equivalent or greater than buying a new tool altogether. It's a real hassle to go out to a complete a job and then only have to rush to the nearest store and pay an inflated price for a replacement tool. I wouldn't recommend any serious building or trades person to purchase their power tools and shop elsewhere for an alternative, bigger name brand power tool supplier.
