I took my daughter to this orthodontist…

I took my daughter to this orthodontist for the first time today and was shocked by how disrespectfully we were spoken to. While I was explaining important information about my daughter, the orthodontist cut me off with a rude “whatever mum.” When I mentioned that my daughter is autistic and explained her needs, she sarcastically said, “Yes, she understands, no need for mum to speak,” even though I was simply advocating for my child. The tone was dismissive, unprofessional, and felt discriminatory. No parent should be spoken to like this, and no child with additional needs should be treated with such disrespect. I left feeling upset and appalled.

Terrible service

Finchley Road branch. Terrible service. Takes over 2 hoursto get through on phone and then ask you to wait a minute and put down . Very unaccomodating. Charges for braces that have broken straight away. Have to wait ages for appointment, even when emergency - approx 2 months wait. They cancel appointment quite often then you have to wait again several weeks for a replacement appointment that they cancelled. Very unhelpful. Both in the private and NHS sector.

Highly Recommend Dr. Valentina Campo

I am extremely satisfied with the excellent care I received from Dr. Valentina Campos at Malmin, Canary Wharf. I had a root canal treatment and two crowns, and throughout the entire process Dr. Campos explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and well-informed. The results have exceeded my expectations — the crowns look and feel great, perfectly matching the color of my natural teeth, and they also come with a warranty, which gives me extra peace of mind. On top of that, Dr. Campos is bilingual in Spanish and English, which made communication very smooth and reassuring. I couldn’t be more grateful for her professionalism and dedication, and I highly recommend her services.

Take your extra fees defensive shield

Good and friendly enough staff (apart from receptionist) but seemingly programmed to bill extras .... i paid an extra £40 hygienist bill for 'air flow' treatment (which im not sure i believe you can blow plaque away, so i already decided i didn't want on the website), then extra £cash from the dentist to take x-rays, his logic being i haven't had x rays for 6 years. Receptionist wouldn't take no for an answer in deciding where i should stand, (i have medical reasons form my choice). So not a big deal overall, i just walked away having costed me twice what i expected ... rather like a trip to Boots opticians i thought ..

The rudest practice manager I have ever met

To whom it may concern,

My name is Amalia Illgner and I have been a patient at Malmin Farringdon for more than 10 years.

I have always been impressed with the high level of clinical care and I have received over the years and, as a result, I have recommended the practice to a number of friends and colleagues.

Dr Parella is my dentist at Farringdon, and I am delighted by his care, attention to detail and the highly professional service he provides. But despite all this, as a result of frankly unacceptable behaviour by the practice manager, I am considering leaving the practice.

I understand that as a member of the dental plan, the idea is to see the same dentist to ensure continuity of care and the best level of treatment. I understand it is also a business decision as affects how the dentists are paid.

However, recently when my check up was due, it was not possible to find an appointment time with Dr Perella that fit in with my schedule - I have a full-time job and two small children. So I was offered an appointment with Dr Haffner. I attended my appointment and she provided an excellent service. Part of her diagnosis was a filling which I was to schedule as soon as possible.

When it came time to schedule the hour-long appointment I rang the practice and was told by the manager, Pretty Senthilingam, that the week(w/c 30th June) which I was hoping to have my filling done Dr Haffner was on holiday, so I would have to wait. I told the manager that Dr Haffner wasn’t my “real” dentist, as I had been seeing Dr Parella for some years consistently. He was not on holidays during this week. Pretty told me I was now not allowed to see Dr Parella anymore as Dr Haffner was now my dentist. She had diagnosed the filling and she had to perform it, and since she was on holiday, I would have to wait until she was back.

When I explained that I was happy - in fact more than happy - to see Dr Parella, who was available at the exact time I needed, she told me repeatedly that I could not book in with him anymore. She also criticised my insistence that I wanted to see Dr Parella, saying “maybe he won’t think you’ll need a filling and then your time will have been wasted”. In all honesty I would rather come in and see a dentist I know and trust who then informs me that I don’t need a filling, than potentially having an unnecessary filling.

Her tone grew increasingly rude and hostile, but throughout I explained that I was not going to leave the conversation without an appointment with my regular dentist who I wanted to see.

Looking at your website I can see the values:

To treat everyone as we would expect to be treated ourselves
To respect and value our patients and colleagues

While your practice manager was no doubt following procedure, she has an absolute incapacity to understand the patient’s perspective and is an absolute embarrassment to the hard-working courteous clinicians who she effectively represents. Ultimately she allowed me to book in with Dr Parella, who was available at the exact date and time I needed and told me she was doing me a favour.

Honestly I have no words. All I wanted was an appointment that worked with my schedule with the dentist I have been seeing for a number of years. This is not a favour, this is basic service and I did not expect this. Extremely poor.

The company goals are into only in…

The company goals are into only in Profit .(take financial advantage from people in needing care).
111 NHS referral me to this Company Malmin because of my jaw. The receptionist from Malmin rang me.
On the phone I was very clearly that I was with pain in my JAW. The receptionist booked an appointment saying it was £25.
On the appointment I literally only Sat on the dentist’s chair and the dentist didn’t do absolutely anything. Just advise me to go to Emergency.
I was charged £27.4 to sat on dentist’s chair.
No consideration and no empathy with patients in Pain.Plus The receptionist lied to me saying the appointment will be £25.
They could be honest at the begging that they won’t deal with Jaw problems.

Still unorganised and rude

I was a patient with Farringdon branch a decade ago but left due to the poor behaviour of staff and practice manager Priti. My husband needed Invisalign so I decided to call them, during our 5-7 minute telephone call the lady was unable to answer basic questions like how much for consultation and whats the price bracket for Invisalign. Eventually she puts me on hold with asking and drops the call. It still makes me feel that their Farringdon’s branch is very unorganised and rude to patients. I will be avoiding them at all costs. Avoid!!! Horrible experience, lack professionalism Redbridge centre

Beware of the services provided for children under the
NHS. Substandard services, inferior braces and poor customer relations. Unfortunately, having no competing dental serviceiin Redbridge that provides NHS services for braces, etc, for children means that the abuse of this fact becomes a time-waster and tries to frustrate the patient into going private! Fraudulent!!!!

Hopeless if you're trying to make an appointment. Noone turned up for online consultation, then gave them a 2nd chance with an in person appointment and trying to confirm a time was a nightmare. Then the day before they cancelled because I didn't pay a deposit when I was told twice no deposit was necessary for the initial consultation. Don't waste your time.

Dental treatment with a smile

The lancaster team are both professional and engaging. It's always a pleasure to attend. That must be a novel response to dental treatment. Toby and the team are great ambassadors for the profession.

Avoid if you’re a non paying customer

When I came into the Dentist after being referred there from NHS 111… I called for directions and I got an incredibly rude woman who answered the phone! Apparently she had NO idea where the Dentist was… She works there so I obviously know she was chatting crap! If she didn’t know where her own work place was how the hell did she get to work?!

So after asking the friendly staff at Holborn Station I arrived!

The same rude woman booked me in! She has badly died blonde hair! She said ‘sit down and wait to be called’ quite rudely!

Another woman who I overheard was also sent there by NHS 111… ‘hello, welcome to Malmin Dental, please take a seat, you’ll be seen downstairs but the dentist will come up and collect you’ was how she greeted this other woman and I believe it was because she was a paying customer and I was not!

Not just that there were 7 other people whilst I was there! 2 were there before me and the other 4 after me… apparently they only had 1 dentist downstairs and 1 upstairs yet I saw at least 8 people that worked there and 3 of the 4 patients that came in after me were seen before me and I was there 10 minutes early like I was asked to be!

I was seen 45 minutes later and their best excuse was ‘there’s only 1 dentist in’ NO there were a few because 3 people were called at the same damn time and 2 of them were seen downstairs!

The dentist assistant was nice. The dentist herself well she couldn’t wait for me to leave the chair and did everything quickly and noisily!

Safe to say next time I need an emergency dentist I will NOT be accepting an appointment with This Dental Practice! They treat non paying customers like crap!

My teenage son suffers with mental health issues so on the day could not face an appointment to have his braces adjusted, I called in to explain only to be offered another appointment 3 months down the line and although I get they are busy this is disgraceful and shows malmin orthodontist Hartlepool do not take mental health seriously and show no care to vulnerable patients.

Always happy with Malmin

I always come back from Malmin feeling positive and satisfied. That's the case whether it's a check-up or something more complex.
The dentists (I usually see Dr Peter McCoy) are very skilled but explain things clearly.
The nurses are so helpful and efficient.
The admin staff are welcoming and answer every question.
And the charges are reasonable too.
Highly recommended.

Poor treatment

I recently went to see the hygienist for clean and airflow polish, cost totally over £100. 3 days after my clean I went to the dentist for general check up, after viewing my x-rays the dentist said I had alot of build up in between my teeth? She pointed this out on the x-ray. When I asked if this could be cleaned by hygienist- she replied, it's their job to clean in-between teeth!

I rang malmin to report this and that I was unhappy. To my dismay the practice manager who failed to ring me back several times, and finally I managed to catch her on my third attempt. Firstly she came up with several excuses as to why the hygienist could have left it uncleaned. I was quite disappointed with this reaction as all I wanted was an apology- mistakes can be made. But it feels far worse when you are made to feel like somehow it's your own fault( my teeth were in a bad state) for the outcome. Surely regardless of the initial state the end result should reach the same standard?

Priti the practice manager requested that I send x-rays and dentists report and they would offer me complimentary appointment.
I've decided not to accept their offer as I feel increasingly offended they need proof? What would I get out of lying?
In any case this matters is beyond fixing I no longer will return to this place as they have not treated me with value.

I've decided not to take
