Paid 34.99 for a 12 month Malwarebytes sub and it didnt detect an app that was causing problems with my laptop. I installed a 5 licence 12 month Kapersky standard for 19.99 which did detect and remove the problem, and offered far more features that Malwarebytes. Wont use Malwarebytes again

I have used Malwarebytes for many years. The best security for your devices that I know of. Thanks Malwarebytes for you dedication to our security.

I have been using Malwarebytes for a number of years after a tech friend recommended them to me. I find their program to be very good and easy to navigate and feel confident that they are protecting my devices

I’ve generally had a good experience with your services, but I’m facing issues with licensing. I manage around 40 machines, and the jump from personal to enterprise pricing is too steep for a small company like mine. Personal plans lack stability for my needs, while business pricing is unaffordable. Due to these limitations, I’ll be canceling my subscription and moving to another provider.

MBAM USED to be my go to security program. Unfortunately, they now have a TON of false positives & their CS is unwilling to check them out; expecting the end user to diagnose MBAM's issues. This may be my last year.

Ever since i started to use Malwarebytes I have had noting but a great experience. I have used other security packages previously and none of them were as good as Malwarebytes. I use the whole package now because i trust them so much. The vpn did initially scare me, and was slightly difficult to follow, but now i would not do without it. Thank you Malwarebytes for your support in keeping me safe too. Kind regards
Robert

Since installing Malwarebytes 10 years ago, I have had zero issues with unwanted and dangerous spam, viruses, trojans etc. I appreciate the scheduled scans and reports recieved.
My only concern is I do use a Amazon Fire tablet and Malwarebytes is not compatible with it. So I limit its usage to books through Amazons service.

I find that is Company is very informative and efficient. I have no problem in recommending them to other users.

Using the Malwarebytes website I downloaded the basic plan offered, (with tax), for 42.99, The download was successful, however I couldn't activate it using the link provided in the email I received confirming the purchase.
I contacted their support, through an online chat feature. They verified my email address and asked for a phone number. After giving the phone number I immediately rec'd a call from someone with an 'India' accent. I assumed Malwarebytes was outsourcing their support so i continued.
He stated that there was an issue that would require me to reinstall with his assistance. He asked for remote viewing access to assist with the process. I conceded. He then said he would transfer me to the billing dept. to first cancel the existing purchase.
The supposed billing rep. (also with an India accent), asked if I wanted the amount refunded into my bank account or crypto account. At that point I knew that something was wrong. I said I just want it cancelled and refunded. He asked me to sign into my bank account. At that point I stated, "you still have remote viewing of my computer"! I refused to open my bank account, and through my computer's 'programs and features' page, I disconnected remote access.
I then called my bank disputing the charge and cancelling my Visa debit card. Lesson learned.

Have been a satisfied customer of Malwarebytes for several years and have not been compromised an any of my devices during this time.
While several sites are blocked that appear to be legit, the hidden tracking devices are not worth disabling Malwarebytes to view any of them.

It seems most negative comments are related to the phone app.
I do not use MB on my phone. I have used it in the past but never had an issue. Since my retirement I only use my phone as a phone only so no need of the app.
However back around 2005 my PC was infected with ransomeware although I did have Norton, Norton never even recognised it. I tried other free to try anti virus to get that PC cleaned but they could not get rid of it. I searched for cleaning tools & found MB. it was virtualy unheard of at the time. I dowlnloaded their clean up tools & it cleaned my PC first try. I then subscribed to their anti malware service. ever since then I have only ever used MB on its own as my security. I dont bother with Windows updates to firewall or any other so called anti virus softwar. My Son has used MB since 2014 after he had a similar problem. Only MB cleaned his PC completely & He has used it since with no other anti virus programme. I can state that neither of our PCs have ever had a problem since using MB. We do get lots of warnings that stop you entering suspect websites.
Over the years I have recomended MB to dozens of friends & it also solved thier PC issues. I Do hope that MB can eliminate the app problems & cancellation process as I truly beleive it to be THE best product out there to protect your device the demons of this world that steal from those that are honest & kind truly Human.

This is a great piece of software to protect any PC/Laptop or mobile phone, at a very reasonable price, I have been using it for 4+ years and had no malware or viruses. I shall continue to use it until it gets to expensive to purchase.

Recently in January 2026 my medical records were part of a medical data breach. It is great to know that Malwarebytes provides me with the security and resources for them to remove my personal information leaked to the web / dark web.

I've been using Malwarebytes for something like 15 years... from the free app to Premium. It's reasonably priced, highly effective and rarely gets in your way. If it does block a site there is a good reason, though a site under attack can be temporarily blocked. It happened once in all the years, but the site owner got the issue fixed and everything was fine the next day. Can't say anything good about the rest of them - over priced, ineffective and commonly act like malware in y0ur computer. I have had half a dozen others but always went back to Malwarebytes. Have it on multiple devices for less than a year's "coverage" for 1 device elsewhere.

To anybody thinking about downloading Malwarebytes and assuming that you have a few months of the trial version so you can familiarize yourself with the app. STOP! Do not download this app as its trial version is a laughable 2 weeks, and it’s set to automatically renew … on the most expensive plan Malwarebytes has available. Also, good luck getting a refund. Apple will tell you to contact Malwarebytes for a refund, as they are just a reseller it cannot be refunded. Malwarebytes will tell you to go pound sand, they cannot possibly offer a refund on THEIR software as it was purchased from Apple via the App Store… as if there is any other way of getting apps if you use an iPad. Or as if they didn’t get paid in full from Apple. Oh, and last but not least, PayPal, who facilitated the unauthorized transaction also cannot offer a refund, reason unspecified, which is basically them telling you to go to hell.
To top all this off, they took this money for software I do not need, and cannot use… over Christmas, to which I explained to all 3 companies, meant missing out on a weeks worth of groceries… over Christmas. So great job all you billionaires! You made Xmas suck, my disabled mother went without food, and you all made me wast hundreds of hours going back and forth while not a single one of your companies showed a bit of compassion and understanding, nor accountability.
I’m going to be leaving these reviews everywhere, on every platform I can find, on the App Store feedback, on Malwarebytes forums, on trustpilot.com.au, in the hope that it saves somebody else from being deceived, ignored, and made to feel utterly worthless by a group of 3 multi-billion dollar companies.
I’ve now killed my PayPal account, deleted Malwarebytes and switched off its automatic subscription, even removed my account details from the App Store. This may have cost me $70 dollars in wasted money I cannot afford, being on a very fixed income, but I’m betting that these reviews I’m about to post are going to cost you all a thousand times that in lost revenue from people perhaps looking for some good internet security software, who will now hesitate when they see the title “Malwarebytes”… and remember that review they read about that companies inhumanity towards their forced subscribers.

Apparently your program is now unacceptable to Amazon fire tablets, and only to cheap alleged anti malware anti virus programs sold in their app store that catch almost nothing , cost less than $5 and worth even less , much less, in my opinion. As soon as I buy another laptop I will buy your programs that protected me for decades. By the way, your recent automatic renewal caught me unable to log in online as someone runners my my new ISP.hacked it ( fire 8 tablet) and I had to wipe the drive and start over all day yesterday!
