I enjoy the training, it was very beneficial to learn tips and tricks to use both in my career and personal life

Ketcia was such a lovely individual and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. It was very personal, and so feeling comfortable made it so important to me.

I liked the instructor. I wish there more more people in the session for group discussion.

I cant seem to edit my previous review, so I am adding this one as an update.

In my previous review, I outlined not having been paid after five month. Since then, a new contact person has reached out to me. Apparently the previous contact person hasn't worked there in months, and did not transfer their open files over.

They also explained they were having issues with their payment method, but that these had been resolved.

After collecting the bank deposit information included in my original invoice again, they were able to get me paid. I have now gotten the wages owed to me - the deposit says that it comes from Eventbrite on my statement though, so I suspect they have used Eventbrite's payout system to send the money.

This new contact person is much more professional and communicative than the previous person. Now that I've been paid, I'm comfortable adding a more positive review.

I attended a Motivational Interviewing training through Mangates and was disappointed with the experience. The instructor implied he had a background as a therapist, but after the training I learned he does not hold a therapist license or a graduate degree in the field. This was not disclosed ahead of time.

During the workshop, which I thought would be a group and turned out to be only us, he gave guidance on how to work with my clients, which I assumed was coming from a licensed professional. Learning afterward that he was not licensed was concerning and would have changed my decision to enroll.

The training materials also appeared to be AI-generated, with placeholder text and repeated slides, he seemed not familiar with the material as he was reading off the paper, and the course ended much earlier than scheduled. The quality did not match what was advertised as a professional training for clinicians.

I reached out to the company for a refund due to the lack of transparency and overall quality and did not receive a satisfactory resolution. I recommend verifying instructor credentials before registering.

SCAM - Stay Away.
Red flags started to become apparent prior to the course as organizer called me to ask me if they could do it in my own workplace, which was weird. After attending the course it is not weird and clearly a scam!
To start with, there were only three of us in attendance (being a course on Public speaking that's clearly not ideal! lol). The trainer, who was subcontracted, seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with the course material. It was evident that he was reading the manual for the first or maybe the second time. It sounded like he was asked to do the training session at the last minute, which was quite ironic given the topic of the course.

We were seated in a VERY small (rented space)conference room. The course itself covered only the very basics of planning a presentation, and there were no practical sessions or workshopping. Instead, we simply read from the manual together. It was completely uninspiring for everyone involved. Consequently, we zipped through the material and finished about three hours early. Overall, I would rate the experience a 0/10.

Kye was excellent. She was relatable and able put things in a way that made it personal and engaging.

I was under the impression that this would be a group training and not 1:1, so I was disappointed in the format.

SCAM Company They do not have any training curses or trainers. They sell their services online from OUTSIDE of the US. They contract trainers who then have to prepare the actual course materials, they do not tell the trainers they do not have any actual course materials. the trainers spend hours creating courses then delivering the courses. They do not pay their trainers. I covered a course in July and still hve not been paid.

I was contacted to conduct a public speaking course. I completed the course, got a fantastic customer satisfaction survey, but as of today I still have not been paid. No one from Magnates will even respond to my request for status of my payment. Seeing other reviews I guess that's how they make thier money: hire local talent, collect fees from customers and never pay the Facilitator!

Update – January 2026

This review is being updated to reflect the final outcome.

After several months of follow-ups, the last payment for the August 2025 training sessions was received in January 2026. I acknowledge that the two invoices have now been settled.

At the time this review was originally posted, payment was significantly overdue relative to the agreed contractual terms, and multiple follow-ups had not resulted in resolution. The review reflected that situation as it stood then.

Following payment, I was asked to remove the review. I have chosen instead to update it for accuracy, so that the timeline and resolution are clearly documented.

The training sessions themselves were delivered as agreed and received positive feedback from participants. This update is intended solely to reflect that payment was ultimately completed, while maintaining an accurate record of the experience.

I delivered two professional training sessions for Mangates in August 2025:

Public Speaking Mastery (Aug 8, invoice sent Aug 9)
Essential Management Skills (Aug 22, invoice sent Aug 23)

Both sessions were covered by a signed NDA that stated payment would be made within one month.
At the Mangates's request, I also covered additional expenses — including lunch for participants, certificates, and printed training materials.

After each training, the company requested attendee pictures, feedback, and I was proud to receive excellent reviews praising the content, engagement, and practical value.

However, despite meeting every contractual and professional commitment, I’ve only received repeated excuses: “technical glitch,” “please wait until next week,” and “cash-flow slowdown.”

As of October 7, 2025, both invoices remain unpaid, and there is no resolution on the horizon.

It’s disappointing that such positive sessions with great participant outcomes were followed by delayed and unclear payment practices. Trainers and consultants should be compensated fairly and on time — especially after delivering with professionalism and care.

Rachel was very knowledgeable and tailored the training to our sales needs. Would definitely recommend fellow sales professionals to take a training course with her.

I was hired as a facilitator for two sessions with this company. Despite assurances that they would pay my invoice, they have not done so. It has been 5 months since I worked for them and they still have not paid me. I have contacted the recruiter, Priyanka, and she has consistently lied saying she would email finance and CC me in the email. Nothing is ever done in response to my followups. I have also reached out to the finance team directly, and received no replies from them over multiple months.

It's unfortunate - I would have liked to have continued collaborating with this company, but they have proven themselves to be nothing but dishonest.

Clearly this is a great opportunity for students. Not so much for facilitators.

I taught a class for Mangates more than two months ago. Despite a signed contract, repeated follow-ups, and even covering out-of-pocket expenses (including lunch for the class), I have still not been paid.

The class was great. Only one student and decent material (outdated but good content). Everything went smoothly with strong support before the session which all but stopped as soon as the session ended.

I’ve now been told five times that “finance has been contacted,” but still no payment. After reading reviews I would anticipate that they ensure me that payment has been made with a promise of screen shots (see other 1 star reviews) but I can assure you it has not.

To fellow trainers and contractors: be cautious. Based on my experience, Mangates feels more like a stall and dodge operation than a professional partner.

The training was very well-structured, with a clear agenda and a thorough description of the content covered in each session. The presentations were clear and easy to follow, and the supporting materials provided comprehensive details on all the topics discussed.

The instructor communicated effectively, combining theoretical knowledge from the training with valuable insights from his professional experience. This practical perspective greatly enriched the learning process.

He also demonstrated excellent adaptability by successfully tailoring a workshop originally designed for a group to suit a one-on-one format. Activities were adjusted seamlessly, and the instructor managed the session dynamics in a way that ensured the overall experience remained consistent with the planned lecture.

Overall, the training was highly engaging, informative, and well-delivered.

When I registered my employee for this class, I was already a bit suspicious because there was no location listed, no times, and the course description and title did not match up correctly on the website - but I took what I felt was a leap of faith due to good reviews on google. I was not reassured after registration as I did not get any kind of confirmation or receipt. I had to reach out to Mangates via email and wait to hear back. I still felt unsure and confused and so did my employee. I had to email multiple times before finally getting the location information less than 4 days before the training (2 of which were weekend days). In that email, I was told that the trainer would be emailing me herself shortly with more information. I have still never received that email. I was very nervous that we were scammed and that my employee would show up to an empty building. I wish there had been a phone number to call; I think I would have been more comfortable if I had physically spoken to a person. Communication could have been much, much better - especially considering this was a communication course.

Enjoyable day, particularly around a subject that can make some people very nervous. Our presenter was very engaging.
