Helpful and friendly when booking for our chicken to board with them over the summer.

We had a really good experience buying birds here. Really helpful staff, and the pens were really clean. Unfortunately, when we arrived they didn’t have 3 of the birds we had ordered online “as the avoid disappointment” they should probably remove this feature. I wasn’t to unhappy as I did get some really nice birds. But this was a bit of a let down, especially as we drove nearly an hour to collect them. If you are thinking of buying from here I would phone first, make sure they have the birds and check they are in the same flock. If they are not in the same flock you will have to monitor them and possibly keep them separate for a while.

After waiting 2 weeks I received 4 not 6 eggs as expected.. Ended up ordering 6 more off Ebay.. 6 eggs in 2 days.. Wouldn't recommend ordering from here.

What an amazing concept & experience! We've recently moved to the area & found this gem of gardening farming joy on our doorstep! Very highly recommended!

All very helpful even though very busy, only problem was that the type of hen we ordered two weeks prior had all gone. Settled on different type hopefully she will be as good as the others.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great produce; I completed a 2 x day beginners beekeeping course and loved every minute of it. We learnt about the theory of keeping bees, and had some excellent ‘hands on’ sessions with our instructor, Mike, who passed on his knowledge in a friendly and informal way and always kept it interesting, with a good balance between essential facts and details, along with snippets of a knowledge base gained from years as a Master Beekeeper. Our host, Kerry, kept us well watered and supplied with superb home made cakes and treats, and she was always on hand to answer any questions we had. 10/10 highly recommended.

Excellent chicken ramp to replace old rotting ramp. Fits perfectly on raised coop. Only issue was delivery several days later than expected but otherwise great

I've been getting my hens from Mantel Farm for about 7 years now. They're always friendly and helpful, and their birds are fit and healthy. I highly recommend them.

Great service, good advice and friendly staff

Very pleased with our two new chickens. Staff always very pleasant and helpful both with loading and advice if needed. Decided to try a new type of bedding and chickens seem to like it.

Excellent first class service help from start to finish. Our new ladies have settled in ok very pleased with our new Bantams. Perhaps a better sign at entrance for both sides so to see whichever way you come.

This is the third time I’ve bought chickens from Mantel Farm. They never let me down. Happy, healthy birds that settled quickly and started laying the next day. Highly recommended.
