Always helpful. Good advice given when needed.

Unfortunately some of the order arrived damaged. The growers pellets bucket was badly shattered (the delivery driver took a photo) and splintered pieces of plastic ended up inside the feed. I needed it urgently so couldn’t send it back, instead I manually picked though it to remove the plastic shards so my pullets don’t end up eating them. Not a great start for a first order. Another bucket had a broken lid but the rest where fine.
The contents themselves are great, my hens are enjoying their dust bath and treats. Just need better protection for the plastic buckets as I now cannot reuse some of them which isn’t very environmentally friendly. Would have given them 5 stars otherwise.

I am glad to have found Mantel Farm. It is a really great place to go if you want to learn about keeping chickens, or are experienced . or you need supplies., etc A genuine, friendly and caring rural enterprise. I took my elderly parents there to buy some bantams recently and they loved it too.

I have been coming here for years to buy my hens. 5 stars all round!

We were helped to select our new chickens by a very helpful and polite young man who was happy to advise on integration with our older hens. We noticed how calm all these chickens were when he picked them up, as they have been since we got them home, noticeably much calmer than other newbies we have bought elsewhere previously who have been quite skittish. We felt their relative calmness reflects their positive early experience at Mantel Farm.

Fantastic service as usual, prompt delivery

Staff were very helpful and informative. An interesting range of weekend courses on offer as well as beautiful chickens for sale. It’s a little difficult to find, the sign is easy to miss coming from Catsfield but worth turning round and making the search from the other direction when you reach the next hamlet!

Today I had the experience of collecting my chickens from Mantel farm and what a pleasure that was, Jason and his family was amazing with everything and with all the questions I had, highly recommended.

We recently visited with view to our two treasured chickens spending a holiday at mantel farm while we have a family holiday.
We were not disappointed, we had a warm welcome and readily showed the pens the girls would be staying; they were light, bright and lovely and clean with all they would need for their comfort.
We look forward to our break knowing they will be well cared for .

I visited the shop to purchase a gift voucher. Very easy to do. Staff lovely.

I've bought quite a few chickens from Mantel farm over the years. They have all been excellent chickens, good health, good layers, good natured even as they are kept so well at the farm.
I highly recommend them, lovely people, care about their animals and very generous with their knowledge. One chicken laid an egg the same day we got them home!

The team at Mantel farm are unique in their knowledge and their level of customer service. It's like meeting up with knowledgeable friends, nothing is too much trouble. The courses they run, the products sold, everything. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ordered on line and reserved a collection time which was confirmed. Arrived at allotted time and order was ready in a barrow. Everything organised very well & friendly welcome as always.
