The best decision I made was responding to a pop up on Instagram back in early March 2025 where Sir Marco Robinson asks people to reach out if interested in telling your story of an adversity you came from in No1 Best Selling Start Over Volumes on Amazon. For years people have always said to write a book and find a ghost writer. I thought what the heck this is a sign and Marco could be that Ghostwriter. So I applied and was accepted. The best investment ever. Its been more than a chapter in a book. The dedication, time and genuine care and loyalty you get from Marco is phenomenal. Every week we have reading sessions where 3 people read out their drafts and Marco provides feedback and asks a few of us co authors for feedback. Weekly Marketing /social media sessions. We are also provided Skool to follow modules, where we also can connect and ask questions to the admin team and connect with any of the co authors. There is also FB group and Whatsapp Group which is great for connecting with amazing people from all walks of life with thier own adversities and how they came from them that are so inspiring and uplifting. There is so much support and love where many have bonded and even Marco with is genuine down to earth nature has become a wonderful supportive friend and his team amazing. These last 6 months have flown by and it all kicked off in May with the release of Volume 1 where I attended London Live event which was awesome. Made friends and connecting with such amazing people has been the best. You are not obligated to travel around to the live events that are happening globally. Marco also does live IG encouraging us to all perform Live IG amongst ourselves and get on his Podcasts building your confidence to speak your story and truth as well as the option to speak on stage when your volume is released. Marco also offers you to have your story made into a film. My chapter is one of the volumes not being released till early next year. I reside in Australia and I have flown in today to attend the release of Volume 3 and virtual launch of Volume 4 at Melville Castle Edinburgh providing the opportunity to win free offers. Its all exciting and new comers attend these events which is always wonderful to meet and even help and support new people and each other with whatever that person is going through in their time of life. Its a healing in itself to have a comfortable supportive safe place to tell your story and not be judged instead loved. Start Over has been growing and now becoming an amazing Start Over movement of gorgeous lovely down to eath people from all over the world who want to make a difference and help others as well as themselves. We also learn and teach each other through our bonding and connections various skills and life experience. There are other courses Marco offers where there is no obligation or pressure to join these courses. Marco and his team are amazing wonderful guninue caring people who especially marco put a lot of time and effort into this project. Very talented team. Marco is very dedicated and he will do anything and invests his own money to make things happen. These live events so far London, Dublin, Budapest and now Edinburgh Scotland have been amazing. There is so much more to come as it is early days. Next one will be Sweden, then to the US and Australia. Everyone actions what they can in their own time though you do need to stick to time lines for the editing and publishing of your chapter. I still need to build confidence and courage to gradually tell my story on a live IG or Podcasts. I am also focusing on completing my Fitness certificates and knowing and having a chapter in Start Over Volume that has become huge and #1 bestselling series inspires and uplifts me gaining courage and confidence which I know will help brand me for when I start my own fitness and health business. Its been educational to see the backend process of how the books are developed and progress to #1 Bestsellers, knowing that in future I can write more books. Highly recommend anyone who is interested in pursuing either writing a chapter in Startover or any other courses Marco offers to go for it. Can I firstly say that words don't do justice as to how highly I respect Marco Robinson. Being part of the Start Over book series has been nothing short of transformational. What began as something I thought would simply be fun turned into one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

After speaking with Marco Robinson personally and learning more about the vision behind the project, I realized this was so much more than just a book—it was a movement. The opportunity to share my story in a way that could inspire and help others was powerful. I had no idea how therapeutic and freeing it would feel to finally put into words the trauma I had carried for years. If zero stars were an option, I would choose that.
I hired Marco Robinson for two services: to include a chapter in his Start Over book series and for 1:1 business coaching. Unfortunately, both experiences were deeply disappointing and lacked professionalism. I take full responsibility for not conducting thorough due diligence beforehand—something I strongly encourage others to do before engaging with his services. The other 1 and 2 star reviews are an accurate representation and the responses from him or his team are what happens when you speak up to him privately, in small group settings, or publicly.

The 1:1 coaching was disorganized and lacked substance. “Classes” were frequently cancelled or rescheduled for what worked best for Marco and eventually stopped happening altogether with no explanation. Scheduling calls was difficult, communication felt dismissive, and tailored support was virtually non-existent. Instead of actionable business guidance, I was directed to read PDFs, buy additional books of his, and rely on generic ChatGPT outputs. Specific questions related to launching my business were met with vague responses, often accompanied by impatience or dismissive remarks.

The book project, while originally presented as a mission-driven collaboration, quickly deteriorated into a disjointed and poorly managed experience. Marketing materials were riddled with basic errors, broken links, and unmet promises. Contributors were offered varying contracts and pricing structures, resulting in unequal treatment. Having paid a significant sum, I expected a professional outcome and instead was left with a disheartening product.

When I began asking questions about royalty payments and requested basic financial transparency—such as sales reports or cost breakdowns—Marco abruptly cut off direct access. He instructed all communication be redirected to a generic email address and refused to engage further via text or voice note. This refusal to address contractual obligations around royalties raises serious concerns. Why avoid these conversations unless there’s something to hide? In my view, this behavior is not only unprofessional—it borders on exploitation.

When I finally received a response, I was told to send an email address for Paypal payments. Royalty payment deadline came and went with nothing. 10 days later, there is still nothing and no correspondence via email explaining the delay or the plan moving forward. The deadline for the coinciding report of books sales and cost breakdowns also came and went. Without speculating as to his excuses or reasoning, I and my fellow coauthors have not received compensation as contractually agreed upon by the agreed upon date.

Equally concerning is the pattern of coercing positive reviews, particularly noticeable in early 2025, which appeared to be an effort to artificially improve his online reputation. I was asked to participate in this campaign and refused. I also became aware of contributors who were met with legal threats or intimidation after voicing concerns privately, in small group, and publicly—behavior that has no place in a transparent and ethical business.

I caution anyone considering working with Marco Robinson to do extensive research, seek out past contributors, and be wary of red flags. Promises of transformation and empowerment are meaningless if they’re not backed by integrity, follow-through, and respect for those who invest their time and resources.

When there is a response to this review, by his team or himself, take it with a grain of salt. As a paying customer, hiring a professional to do a job there is a certain level of expectation the job be done well and we be treated with respect in the process. This entire platform gives customers an opportunity to share their experiences in order to be helpful for the company to know what to change in the future moving forward to avoid future unhappy customers and for other people to have ALL the information on a service provider before spending their hard earned money. I hope my review did just that for both parties.

Marco is so much more than a mentor, he’s become a friend, a supporter and a huge inspiration to me. I’m involved in the Start over book series appearing in book 4 and Ive embarked on lots of his training courses.
His motivation, encouragement and support over the last 6 months has resulted in me writing and publishing my own book which is also a no 1 bestseller at pre launch. The majority of the Co authors have been absolutely amazing and close friendships and business collaborations have been formed. Most of us embarked on this journey to gain insights, knowledge, experience, contacts and inspiration. Some people who were struggling in life pinned all their future on working with Marco hoping he would make them the type of money he was making in his own coaching business but they failed to understand that they needed to take action themselves. The most difficult part of the journey has been witnessing a few individuals attack Marco publicly at any given opportunity and myself and the majority of the other co authors were upset by this. Marco acted swiftly removing the toxicity from the group and ever since we have had a much more positive and productive co author relationship. If you read negative reviews on here, please note that it doesn’t represent the majority. Personally I can highly recommend Marco- he isn’t perfect, and he has never claimed to be, but who is? he’s encouraged us all to openly discuss our own life experiences -good and bad but focus on all the lessons as growth is what’s important. Dealing with destructive people is always hard. We think he did an amazing and we are very excited about what the future brings for the Start over project. I’m personally presenting in Budapest as Marco creates countless opportunities for us all. Some of us take the opportunity and others complain about every small detail. We think he’s amazing and he continues to support and nurture everyone of us.

We joined the StartOver project with hope- to share our story & support what we were told was a mission to help others. The co-authors are incredible. But over time serious concerns emerged, and many key promises remain unfulfilled.

The project was framed as a philanthropic movement. We were told the book would be a guaranteed #1 bestseller and that opportunities for growth (through business or speaking) would follow.

Early on, we were pushed to promote Marco Robinson and his coaching, post 5star reviews, scripted praise on social media, and direct our contacts into his sales funnels. Deliverables like landing pages, podcast features, and exposure to Marco’s “2M followers” were never provided.

Writing support mostly consisted of “use ChatGPT”. Classes were often prerecorded replays which led to yet another “limited time offer”. The project expanded far beyond its original scope- from one book to over 14 volumes with nearly 200 authors and growing. As scale increased, quality and communication dropped. Delays, errors, and unanswered questions became common. Marco often seemed overwhelmed, but instead of pausing adds more books and authors.

Several of us felt increasingly uncomfortable with Marco’s tone- frequent swearing/shouting, inappropriate sexual comments, and what many perceived as misogynistic remarks. Given the number of authors who had disclosed histories of trauma/abuse, this felt deeply inappropriate and like authors’ vulnerability was being used to further Marco’s personal agenda.

His ‘#1 Bestseller’ claim relied on using niche Amazon categories with coordinated orders and reviews before books were read - and taking a screenshot at just the right moment a few hours into each launch.

We traveled to London at our own cost to speak at the launch event. The focus shifted away from the book/authors toward his business - with speakers being asked to promote his upsell offer. His “compensation plan” suggested speaker payouts, but none was issued.

Leading up to the launch, authors received messages from his past clients/projects raising serious concerns about Marco’s credentials, a fraud-related conviction (referenced in a Dubai court document), and other public records which appear to support all claims.

Court cases are ongoing, the first apparently found against Marco- with appeal denied (notes from those present show he was in breach of Section 50 of the Consumer Protection Act). Despite this, the disputed “Producer” credit is still used frequently in his marketing.

We first approached Marco privately and respectfully, suggesting that addressing these concerns openly would benefit everyone. He declined.
When we followed up with direct questions he requested that we sign an NDA, and the group chat was quickly shut down.
After we sent more questions with documentation/evidence, he sent a cease & desist letter and we were removed from the project completely.
More legal threats have followed.

We’ve learned of other authors who say they were pressured to sign NDAs to receive partial refunds. At least one was offered a full refund IF they deleted a negative review here- then faced legal threats after refusing.

This review is based on our personal experience and publicly available facts. Some authors report more positive outcomes—but many, like us, feel misled, silenced & bullied. We share this not to attack, but to inform others who deserve transparency before investing their time, trust, or hard-earned money.

If you're considering working with Marco or the SO project (or any of his offers in real estate, crypto, publishing, film, etc), we strongly recommend doing your own research under his legal name, Mark Lawrence Robinson.

We’re speaking up based on facts and in the public interest. Honesty and transparency matter—especially for those made to feel unable to speak for themselves.

I believe Marco's reply speaks for itself in terms of who we're dealing with. He resorts immediately to anger, personal attacks, bullying and defamation- abusing his clients' openness.

We have proof of everything:
-Agreement stating London speakers were to "actively promote" his upsell event.
-His own words about us at London event- “Great job superstars (fire emoji) very authentically inspiring presentation”.
- Emails from Marco, "All I asked was that you sign an NDA".

We remain open to have EVERY word/document in our conversations shared publicly- hopefully Marco will agree to the same.

Re: supposed "envy or jealousy" - we share our "sham" of a lifestyle openly @theDangerz - others can judge for themselves.

Everyone has their own experience, and this was mine. I joined the Start Over project in September 2024 with a genuine desire to share my story, support others, and raise awareness for the non-profit organisation I founded.

At the time of joining, I understood that the project aimed to help vulnerable people by sharing participants' stories and that the books would be promoted to an audience of two million followers. I later discovered that Marco Robinson did not appear to have that level of following, which was unexpected.

As a single parent, I paid a substantial fee to participate and also helped promote the book. While the initial group atmosphere was positive, over time it became more difficult to engage openly. In my view, questions or concerns were not always welcomed, which affected the group dynamic.

I was also asked to promote and sell services related to Marco's services on a commission basis. This was not what I believed the arrangement would be, as I had joined under the impression that promotion would be handled by the organiser.

I chose to leave the project after observing interactions in the group that I felt were not conducive to a safe or supportive environment, particularly for people in vulnerable situations.

After withdrawing, I requested a refund, which was not granted. I was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which I declined. Within the early stages of the project, there was encouragement to exchange online reviews with the organiser. I chose not to participate in this, as I preferred to form my opinions independently.

In my experience, the one-to-one session did not provide the educational value I had hoped for. I am also aware that some others involved in the project have concerns but may feel uncomfortable speaking publicly.

Lastly, for clarity: the organiser refers to himself as "Sir," but to my knowledge, he does not hold a UK knighthood.

I am sharing this review in the hope that it will help others make informed decisions, just as I would have appreciated reading balanced, honest experiences before joining.

I was one of several filmmakers who joined Marco Robinson’s “Film Mastermind” programme between 2023 and 2024, based on promises of industry access, expert mentorship, and support from a team of film professionals. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect what was advertised.

The programme mainly consisted of general group sessions, with limited individual support or structured development. Guidance often involved being referred to free online tools, and there was no evidence of the professional team set out in the original agreement. Other promised services were also not delivered.

Key claims about Mr Robinson’s background and credentials — particularly regarding his role as a producer on the film Legacy of Lies — were central to my decision to join. These claims were later disputed, including in formal witness statements from the film’s actual producers. His name has since been removed from IMDb. There is no evidence he was ever a producer on the film, with official credits confirming he only appeared briefly as an actor.

Claims of holding the title “Sir” also raised concern. According to guidance from the UK government and official Malaysian records, foreign honours such as “Datuk” are not equivalent to a UK knighthood and are not recognised for formal use in the UK.

Attempts to resolve matters amicably were unsuccessful. This resulted not only in financial loss, but also significant professional disruption. In my case, ongoing projects were impacted due to reputational harm and time lost.

Legal claims were pursued by multiple participants. As of September 2025, three separate cases have been heard in County Court. In each, the Judge ruled in favour of the claimant, awarding full refunds plus costs, citing fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract. In one case, Mr Robinson publicly stated he would appeal, but court documents confirm no grounds for appeal were found and Mr Robinson had paid everyone as the courts ordered.

It’s also relevant that some clients reported being asked to leave five-star reviews early in the process, before services were delivered. This may affect the reliability of online review scores.

This review is based on my own direct experience, supported by verifiable court judgments and official records. If you are considering engaging with Marco Robinson or Undisputed Films Ltd, I would strongly recommend carrying out thorough due diligence, seeking independent references, and verifying all claims in advance.

Response to Mr Robinson’s Reply

This review has nothing to do with the Indie Filmmakers Foundation. It is an independent, first-hand account of my experience as a paying participant in the Film Mastermind programme.

Mr Robinson is entitled to deny these claims, but the facts are a matter of public record. Three separate County Court rulings in 2025 found in favour of claimants on all grounds, including fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract.

This review reflects my direct experience and is supported by court judgments, official documents, and publicly available evidence. Under UK law, factual statements and honest opinions based on evidence do not constitute defamation.

Working on the Start Over Book Series has been nothing short of transformative. As one of the very first authors of Book One, Volume One, I was there from the inception of the project.

I chose to work with Sir Marco Robinson because our humanitarian visions aligned right from the start—our paths first crossed when he confidently showcased my contribution to the charity that had brought us face-to-face long before the Start Over Project came to be.

This experience, both challenging and cathartic, helped me complete a cycle of healing that had taken decades. I learned to embrace my truth with vulnerability, and in doing so, I became free to live life on my own terms. The project played a pivotal role in bringing my vision of becoming a motivational speaker to life.

Although I had spoken publicly before, this project provided the platform I needed to evolve into a true motivational speaker by sharing my personal journey in a raw and honest way. The organised and dynamic team behind the project, led by Sir Marco, offered unwavering support every step of the way—guiding promotional campaigns, hosting comprehensive training sessions through the Skool, and ensuring a well-coordinated tour schedule. Their hands-on encouragement, coupled with the camaraderie from fellow members, even inspired me to venture into Instagram for the first time and grow my digital community.

Being recognised as a best-selling author is a milestone that has boosted my confidence and amplified my brand. Every meticulously organised tour, training session, and marketing campaign has strengthened my public profile and helped me share my journey of healing and growth, ultimately illuminating the path for others to do the same.

Reflecting on this journey fills me with gratitude. The experience has allowed me to complete a long-cycle of healing, liberating me to live authentically and bringing my aspiration to speak with vulnerability and empower others to life.

I now see a future where every opportunity lets me share my story and foster change—an achievement made possible by the remarkable energy and support of the Start Over project.

I Know Marco personally and he is an amazing inspiring entrepreneur. He has helped me over the years with building my buisness. This man has achieved so much and has always remained a postive person. Highly recommend buying the book and having him as a mentor absolutely incredible human being and fantastic in everything he does.

In September 2024, I joined the Start Over book project led by Marco Robinson with great enthusiasm. It was marketed as a purpose-driven movement to inspire others through storytelling, and I was told it would offer speaking opportunities, podcast appearances, and promotion to Robinson’s 2 million followers. Based on this, I also signed up in October 2024 (and began paying) for a solo book project with him—an even higher-ticket offer.

Sadly, both experiences were extremely disappointing and misaligned with what was promised. I never received a contract for the solo book, nor the weekly masterminds or support that were advertised. After three initial Zoom calls (mostly about ChatGPT), I received no follow-up. Despite paying $4000 of the $12,000, I was never contacted when I stopped paying. No one checked in to ask why or offer support.

With the co-authored Start Over book, initial optimism faded fast. Organisation was poor. Deadlines were missed. Questions from authors were often met with gaslighting or blame, with Robinson frequently deflecting responsibility and accusing co-authors of lacking commitment.

Over time, it became clear this was less a community and more a commercial funnel. Co-authors were pressured to write glowing reviews within the first week and to upsell Robinson’s programs for commission. Despite promises, we were not allowed to promote our own businesses at events—not even with business cards.

Other key issues I experienced:

My book volume was delayed by over 4 months.

The eBook version contained broken links to my business.

The print edition had major formatting issues (e.g., margins).

The hardcover was sold for AUD$103, despite poor paper and photo quality.

No podcast opportunities were delivered outside the UK.

Australian time zones were ignored despite repeated requests.

Social media engagement was limited and largely co-author driven.

Many of us were drawn in by emotional messaging, but left feeling exploited. I personally found some of Robinson’s conduct and associations triggering, especially as someone with lived experience of sexual abuse to find out he was in a relationship with a 21 year old girl. This was made worse by the defensive and at times dismissive responses to concerns raised.

In my opinion, this project resembled elements of multi-level marketing—promising visibility and impact, but operating as a sales mechanism for Robinson’s services. Meanwhile, other authors who voiced concerns were removed from groups, ignored or gaslit.

Since joining, I have discovered other concerning facts:

His legal name is Mark Lawrence Robinson.

His charity, FREEDOMX (UK Reg No: 1184907), is severely overdue on filings.

Multiple businesses under his name are listed as dissolved (UK Companies House).

Public records and forums detail similar complaints in the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and Dubai for crypto, film, property and coaching projects.
There are current UK court cases in process.

To be clear: I do not dispute that some people had a positive experience and found success. But mine was not, and I have spoken with many others who feel the same—disappointed, dismissed, and financially burdened.

If you're considering working with Marco Robinson, I strongly urge you to do independent research—beyond what he posts or says in videos. Ask for contracts, timelines, and document everything. Don't ignore red flags.

This has been a difficult time as I don't want to undermine the amazing stories and inspiration of the other authors. However I believe that Success should never come at the emotional or financial expense of others, so I want to give a voice to those afraid to speak due to fears of being removed, targeted, or served with legal threats.

7 Jan, I sent message with request for meeting
27 Jan, my payment failed
27 Jan, you sent a message to apologised for not responding earlier & to catch up (20 days late)
7 Feb, I make another payment
28 Feb, I cancelled all other future payments because I was already alarmed at issues in co-author project and felt completely unsupported after your 20 days delay in responding when the orginal email on sign up were mastermind every week. These did not happen and other than your one late message I did not hear from you or your team again about the solo book. Not really the service I would expect from a $12K investment.

RE: Relationship. Please do not imply what I should or should not be triggered by. And secondly your accusations against this GF publically in the co-author group is the only outrageous matter.

RE: You only offered to refund me if I took the review down. I will not take money to be silent.
