Rude and obnoxious customer support

Yet again this company promises exotic fish and clean up crew, but reality is they don't actually have it,, you order your star piece with clean up crew because they do offers on them,, only to find they don't really have the thing you really want,,, 3 times they have done this to me now,,,never again will I order off them,,,then we come to their customer service, who ever is on the other side of the customer service revels in being rude and obnoxious,, it's actually laughable how unprofessional they actually are,,, avoid avoid avoid,,,,

I love these guys the best marine shop…

I love these guys the best marine shop I have bin 2 thay have helped me out a lot and put me on the right path With my fish tank I no I have bin a Pain in the ass sometimes but thay are Very patient Highly recommended

Appalling

Would definitely give a big 0 as this company is a joke there customer skills are shocking the lady I spoke to was rude obnoxious and damn right out of order,all I asked was when will my item be processed to be told it was out of stock and had a two week back log it didn’t state this when ordering and when I said that she raised her voice and told me it was and that I had read it wrong I never read it wrong as I needed the item asap she continued to raise her voice and said I’m refunding it I said I dont want a refund I want the item to be told tuff , it was appalling and the lady should be sacked as she has no regard for respect just wish I lived closer ,so I could have popped in to the shop and had a word with her and the manager

Abysmal service. Laugable!

Ordered a small item on a Friday and paid 5 pounds for royal mail 1st class, item was note received by Tuesday so I contacted them, I was told they had sent it to themselves by mistake and had re sent it (never seen that happen before) asked if I could be refunded the cost of the 1st class postage I paid for which you would expect from most companies as a way of saying sorry. Instead they said no and I would have to pay to return the item. Absolute madness and will not buy from again! Will ensure I review them any and everywhere I can.

AVOID.

I would also rate 0 if i could, very rude.

I would also rate 0 if i could. I called to inquire about a product we ordered online which never said it was out of stock. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and argued that it would say out of stock which it never did, only that it would arrive in 3-7 days. She also argued that we had a email on the 5th explaining this which we also never did. Even though she was extremely rude, i was told i was the one arguing with her which was all in her head and after asking for a refund she hung up on me. How this company stays in business is beyond me. I will never deal with these people again and i would suggest this lady goes on a customer service course.

First & last time I'll be buying from…

First & last time I'll be buying from them.
I ordered a torch coral frag & 2x Emerald Crabs, according to their website it says you'll be contacted either the same day as order placed or the following day to arrange your delivery day, I placed my order on Friday around 2pm, I then had to email them the following Tuesday to ask about my order as I'd not heard anything from them.
Anyway, my order arrived Friday, packaged all fine, torch coral looked well, 1 crab looked well, the other crab however arrived with 4x limbs missing, 2 of which were it's main feeding claws, I contacted them to say I was disappointed with this item as I fear if it can't feed, it will surely die? (I'm fully aware that crabs regrow limbs but if this can't feed, how will it grow)? Plus its not hard to check a crab before dispatch. Their response was childish to say the least, they went as far as saying 'shall we compare it to people in wheelchairs & watch them die also'? I was fully prepared to allow them to respond to my complaint & deal with it in a mature way, they would have kept me as a customer then, sadly though due to their own immature reply to my issue & getting mardy they can simply jog-on, I WILL NOT buy from them again, plus I'll now be sharing my experience with them to warn others to steer well clear of them, don't just take my word for it, see other feedback left for them by others, I just wish I'd done the same beforehand, anyway no skin off my nose.

Incredible service

Incredible service. I ordered at 6.30am and my package was shipped within 8 hours and I received it in about 30hours. Really well packaged. I dealt with Katie first and lee for the rest of the transaction. They were more than happy to help and answer any questions I had. Will 100% be going back for more

Terrible

Pure joke, staff actually threatened me over a return and refused item back (which wasnt even what i ordered!!), Woman in shop was sooo disrespectful calling me a "spacca" and a "lier" simply because i told her they never contacted me back like they said they would, Simply AVOID this crappy business at all costs pure jokers running this store that do not care about the customers. *Reported business to trading standards* ....and the woman to RSPCA

RUDE STAFF AVOID

Visited here a few weeks ago, we are new to marine and fully accept the lady spent time to talk with us and gave us a price for a tank and all other bits, the tank we wanted was not available immediately so we brought from somewhere else, came back again to have our water tested ( happy to pay for this) and also purchase some fish - the owner (lady) was absolutely VILE never have I experienced service like it, she said she didn’t have time to help us or test the water , she accused us of being rude that we didn’t purchase a tank from her although we explained we were here to purchase fish. She wouldn’t stand still to speak and said you wasted my time last time and then brought a tank elsewhere, I can’t understand why your shocked I can’t test your water!.. absolutely disgusting service , Nast nasty women she needs to learn some manners to speak with customers instead of selling fish. Would NEVER visit again or suggest anyone else does!. Tried to post on Facebook and surprise surprise the review was deleted!. Support small businesses absolute joke I wouldn’t support these ever!. They were so friendly the fist time I was adamant I wanted my fish from there and all future products , but this definitely won’t be happening. She was stuck up rude arrogant woman!. Go learn some manners!.. just because u spent time with a customer and they didn’t purchase the first time should not mean that you would refuse any future business from a customer!.. absolutely shocking service!. People are aware marine equipment is expensive and so are the fish, we would have spent money with these guys and only went back because we thought they were so helpful the first time!.. we were definitely wrong!.. avoid avoid avoid!. Unless you want bad rude service! Her response “why are u shocked”. What a joke - would have given zero stars if I could

Awful communication

If I could, I would rate them with 0 stars. Worst possible communication with customer service. Radomir Macek, the person who writes these emails, has no idea what communication with the client should actually look like. Sarcastic, rude, ready to quarrel. I would not recommend ordering to anyone from this site. I am willing to pay more expensive Brightwell Aquatics products from another webshop because Marine Aquatics does not deserve to earn even a cent !!

Really excellent,a glowing 5 stars for me.

Wow,I am really surprised to read all the neg reviews,for me I have never had such issues ever,ordering over a five year period,really nice on the phone,maybe some people need to be more patient during lockdown.Anyway it's a solid 5 stars for me,I rarely use anyone else for my aquatic needs.

Not great to be honest

My review is based on several years experience ordering from marine aquatics. I've ordered 5 times which isn;t a lot I know but it's enough to remember a pattern to your order experience. Here is what I've personally found over several years.

- Orders regularly take a long time to be fullfilled even before all the covid nonsense was an excuse. Waiting a week is ok, 2 weeks starts to get frustrating, 2+ months is me being more patient than I should be.

- You have to chase them constantly for updates to the above and then theres another reason.

- Items are sometimes subtituted without your knowledge and turn up on your door step.

- I ordered dry live rock once which was so poorly packed it bounced around in the box and by the time it arrived the box was breaking open in several places with rock dust falling out everywhere. The rock was just dumped straight in a standard cardboard box loose with no padding or protection and rather than ship multiple rocks to equal the amount ordered in terms of weight they ship one or two massive peices.

- I'm convinced the last item I ordered which is (big and bulky) is a prior customer return as it has a manufacturing defect which put certain parts of it out of alignment with other parts which need to fit together. There were also parts missing. Whilst I cannot prove this I am suspect about it.

I acknowledge I should well have returned it but given my previous experience I just couldn't be doing with the hassle of it all. Plus it was the last item showing as in stock and the manufacturer was on their summer break so was shut down, marine aquatics are the only supplier of this item I could find in the uk.

Going on prior experience because thats all I have too go on, I think I would have been waiting weeks again for a vital component. I just kept it this time and I was able to remedy the issue myself luckily.

So after several years buying from this company and never having a smooth end-to-end buying experience I can't see me using them again. Its a similar experience every time, something will happen which will cast doubt in your mind. Not something you need shopping remotely and you have a schedule of events to follow (like when your setting u pa new tank).

Compared to others I wouldn't say their bad in my experience. In my email correspondence they weren't rude or anything of that nature but over all when compared to other companies listed on trustpilot in the same industry they aren't exactly brilliant either. Customer experience matters.

As many here im not happy with this company.. The person radomir keeps not responding to my mails, i have not recieved my order as promised and its been months... Pretty sure anyone els

Rude customer service

I could not believe how awful this company’s customer service was. After emailing to enquire about an order my partner was met with a patronising, rude reply. Then he asked for a refund because of how rude they were and was met with the statement “perhaps you will be able to understand English on another website and be able to understand things a little more without it needing to be explained to you in such simple terms”. How insulting. We had a genuine enquiry and couldn’t believe that they responded the way they did. The products they sell aren’t cheap, and they’ve lost some customers now. Awful.

The worst customer service.

The worst customer service I have ever come across. Got a message form website saying ‘item cannot be paid for’ which seems confusing on first glance. I asked what this meant and got an extremely sarcastic reply, so asked for a refund. Their response was ‘No problem we can certainly do that for you perhaps you will be able to understand english on another website and be able to understand things a little more without it needing to be explained to you in such simple terms !’. Ironic coming from someone who cannot construct a sentence.
