Do not bother

I booked a stay at this caravan park and, as a non-smoker, was shocked to have my deposit withheld due to an alleged smell of smoke. I provided clear photographic evidence of the condition of the caravan on arrival ; however, the park relied on the one thing that is impossible to “prove” after the fact.

After checking other reviews, I can see this appears to be a recurring issue with deposits being retained for questionable reasons. It’s extremely disappointing and feels unjustified, especially for guests who take care of the property.

Going forward, I will be taking both photos and videos upon entry and exit at any accommodation I book, and I strongly advise others to do the same.

Based on my experience, I cannot currently recommend this site and would encourage potential guests to be cautious before booking.

We bought a caravan here for £37,995…

We bought a caravan here for £37,995 and less than 2 years later when we experienced financial difficulties due to the cost of living crisis we got behind on our extortionate site fees. The only way to resolve this was to sell our caravan. When we tried to do so we were told that due to the age of the caravan we were not allowed to sell it privately. Something to do with it being more that 10 years old. (It was over 10 years old when we bought it, but it didn't seem to matter then).
We ended up surrendering the caravan back to these scammers, because our hands were tied and apparently, they'd had quotes from so called traders and our caravan was worth the grand total of £5,000.
We bought the caravan at the end of August 2022, and had to walk away with nothing in March 2024.
Stay away from these scam artists.!

Don't think all these reviews are genuine.

When we arrived we were given key to our caravan, once inside l noticed the cooker hadn't been cleaned, the cheese grater had stale cheese on it. 2 plates on table were cracked .Ln the shower room the toilet roll holder was broken and there was nowhere to put any toiletries. The settee in the room was broken and you could not sit on it.I took photos as l had paid £100 deposit in case of damages, that was a joke considering the damages that hadn't been rectified. I had to upgrade to another caravan. I left a day early and when l asked about my deposit they said it would be in my bank within 24hours.l wasn't told that when we paid it, l was under the impression it would be paid back when l was leaving. I still haven't received it.l asked in the bank and they said it hasn't been paid into my account. The receptionist says it has,so now l am playing a waiting game.Would not recommend this site to anyone. Once they have your money, they are not interested in genuine complaints.

Needless to say I didn't go I'm now left £299 out of pocket. Totally avoid this place is my advice there all about money & the staff are extremely rude! If I could of given no stars I would of

Marine Holiday Park

I visited the Marine Holiday Park on the 30th Aug (today) to 6th Sept 2024. Prior to our arrival I had read various reviews on Google. Therefore this lead me to ring the Holiday Park to question these reviews and express my reluctantly to pay the deposit required upon arrival. I spoke to a lady called Rachel I expressed my concerns to her and she told me that she would ask a manager to waive the deposit and I replied if there was any issue could she ring me, and if I didn't hear anything I was going to presume that it was fine not to pay the deposit of £100. Then upon arrival I explained my conversation to the lady who checked me in and then Rachel came over and lied about what she had said on the phone. If they listen to the call, like the manager said they would they will see who the lier is and I can assure you it isn't me!!!! I am absolutely disgusted with this I can not understand how anyone can lie to a customers face, how dare she lie! Making me look like I'm lying. I do not appreciate this at all. She was very rude and I'm sorry I don't think this is exceptable. Especially when your at the front of any customer service role. I felt very upset and embarrassed in front of everyone as she did make me feel like I was lying, and I'm not.
I will definitely be reluctant to visit again, after being treated like this.
They had better return it deposit or I will take action!!

Seems all about money £30 register you…

Seems all about money £30 register you car before you get in to you rented van. Told you have pay even if your disabled or you can park free at the entrance 100s of meters away, which I'm sure is illegal not to allow disabled access. you're discriminating against people who cannot walk or walk far if you abled body you can park on carpark or street for free if not you have pay. There were lots of cars parking on the street which I can see the council starting to enforce by double yellows or speaking to the site. After looking at buying on there I would advise against high ground rent nearly 5k a year and no dogs and are only allowed two cars free so other family would have pay £50 a year so if a friend comes for the day it cost them £30 come in with there car, which I suppose is good for marine £30 a week by saying 500 cars a week you can do the maths. Caravans are overvalued and after speaking to a few owners seems a few are unhappy constant price rises from vehicles to ground rent and a few said they felt bombarded by emails to upgrade in which the site gives you alot less than you paid for you van and then sell you another more expensive that had been bought of some else the same way, then add thousands on both plus the ground rent and club.
Drinks are around £5 a pint not a big site or club, good pool but alot of ground rent for a pool you might not ever use if you an older person. Your van has a 20 year life span on the site the person we spoke to said they can stay longer if looked after but the one we looked at was around 30k and about 10 years old so in another 10-12 years the site can tell you leave and offer you hardly nothing for your van them a £800 fee plus disconnection to get it to the gate on a 4x4 which is ridiculous for two men and a hours work, so basically it's 30k for around 10 years plus 5k a year so in all 80k which will be lost! No matter what they say like a car it decreases and the ground rent is a yearly cost. They say you can rent it out to make the ground rent back but then it's not your home really it's a timeshare. you have to rent it in peak times to get ground rent back and have it the rest of the time. So you would need to rent it 10 weeks a year for 5k it's shut for another 8 weeks I think during winter. Plus gas and electric cost which is most probably another 6 weeks as you can't charge as much out of season. I understand it's not a investment and it's enjoyment but 80k over 10 years you.might as well buy a flat/apartment in the area for 80k rent it out if you want recover money and in 10 years sell it for the same price if not more. And unfortunately rhyl before covid looked like it was trying to spend money get people back from going abroad etc but it's failed and covid closed what was new the caravans increased the rents because they couldn't go abroad and now they are so high you might as well go abroad. Rhyl town centre has again declined the old Queens arcade that's took years to build is now a small warehouse for inside market, the sealife which was a big plus has closed people arguing outside the cheap hotels on the front and the arcades what's left are looking worse for wear especially the blue one. If the sites like these are not carefully with greed I cannot see them lasting another decade unfortunately. People seem to feel stuck and not willing to upgrade as cost of living and increased prices why would you buy maybe the site will rent and become holiday rentals but with the area decline and different generations I can see it becoming less popular. Overall sites a standard one and would of been 3 stars if not for the person saying I had pay get in and I won't be allowed back in if I didn't. And as a buyer overpriced vans and high rent for a town with three arcades run down shops and a closed down sea life centre.

Me and my girlfriend had to cancel our…

Me and my girlfriend had to cancel our booking because of the ridiculous security deposit they wanted. We asked for a refund and they said they'll send a check that was 17 days ago. We keep ringing up and all they say is that it's on it way and they can't help. They are just lying if they sent it on the day they stated it would of been delivered like a week ago. They won't transfer it back to us. They're trying to steal our money. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Damaged caravan and no help from staff

We checked in about 6.30 pm and by 7 pm after checking our caravan it had damaged walls and toilet door handle broken in the door. We emailed the damage with pictures straight away and they didn’t reply. We contacted reception which was diverted to night staff straight away with no help. We then reported to reception first thing the next day who told us they already knew about the faults. They didn’t offer a different caravan or refund. About two days later we turned fridge of as it was making a whoosh noise which we also reported.
I have also asked for a direct email so we can put an official complaint in but again they haven’t replied.

Disappointed in the park

This was our first time going to this park and a friend recommended it to us. Unfortunately we won't be going back,

They took money off me when I booked for a hire of a travel cot, rang me the day I was due to arrive to tell me they don't do travel cot hire, they said I would get a refund still waiting for this money 3 weeks on.

Fighting in the kids club which ment no kids entertainment and the police had to be called.

The caravan was dirty.

I have raised a complaint and still not had a response

Be very wary of this company

Be very wary of this company I was desperate to find a temporary home for my daughter and her children and in the long term a holiday home for me. long and short of it is they knew I was in a predicament and used it to their advantage. They sold me a 3 birth caravan that actually wasn't worth a 5th of the price. They have the highest rates in Rhyl and are miles from the main attractions. They are very disabled unfriendly, very little parking and next to none by your own unit unless it is a premium unit so at busy times I often had to stumble across the grass on my crutches to get to my unit totally exhausted by the time I got there. The doors into the main areas a solid glass over 7 foot tall and weigh a ton I couldn't open them without help they were so heavy. If are in a wheelchair no way can you do your washing alone I struggled to do it standing with crutches the dryers are on top of the washing machines making them hard to access especially right at the back. No disabled by near reception so you either managed to to get the end bay or you got stuck getting in or out. They say dog friendly but beware our dogs were always under control just on 2 occasions a bit noisy, but if you are going to hide behind another unit to video them, then yes they will bark leave them alone and they will settle down and sleep, funny how our dogs were banned and yet another dog not controlled bit a child! I lost over £40k of my hard earned pension because of them and no way of getting it back now. If I had bought a motorhome could have got it brand new. I looked up the price of my caravan and new it wouldn't have cost me what I paid them for it, they are money grabbers and do not care about you as an individual only the revenue they can make from you. They have destroyed me as a person to the point I now stay home and do not leave, I even cancelled my new motability car as I now cannot afford to drive I am struggling from month to month because of them, so watch your backs people.
