Very quiet & peaceful location. Cottage had everything needed & lovely enclosed garden for the dog to enjoy.

I've held off writing this review for a few weeks but feel a need to redress the balance of positive 'invited' reviews of this company.

The marketing, booking process and information pre-arrival from Marsdens is superb. If your cottage is problem free you would probably give them a five star review. The issues arise if, like us, you have a problem. Marsdens will tell you that 'it's an owner managed property and therefore not their problem' The owner will defend their property. You, the client will be disbelieved, and the matter will be neatly side stepped by Marsdens! How this will help maintain standards at their properties is a mystery .....

First time booking with this company and very definitely the last.

Our first booking with this particular company. Effortless on-line booking through a thoroughly well designed web site with excellent post booking and pre arrival information. I was told exactly what I would be receiving and when I would be receiving it and it all happened on queue. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this clearly well run and customer focused company.

Excellent management by Marsdens who kept us updated at every opportunity. Although the property was in an excellent location and quite comfortable, it could do with sprucing up as it is all a bit tired & the website photos don't reflect the true condition. It would be helpful if the website contained useful information about the lack of local facilities during the close season.

A good company to deal with. Booking was simple and communication was good with plenty of information.

Wonderful holiday, property spotlessly clean and spacious, all needs catered for,wonderful views to the sea, peaceful and quiet, Steph and Mike lovely owners, very helpful, Sandra and John.

Bramble cottage barbrook North Devon fantastic location and 5min from the moors host Suzanne was brilliant. Home made cake and dog biscuits on arrival nice and cosy converted barn will be booking up next year worth the walk on the moors just to see the big stag ready for the rutting season and if you are lucky you will come across a white stag

Great communication, easy process and accurate property description. We had a problem with the door of the property on arrival but rang the Marsdens contact who offered to come out to us and assist immediately. Resolved another way but the offer was appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to book again with Marsdens/Original Cottages.

Fantastic cottage, extremely clean and well equipped. Lovely welcoming hosts. Countryside views stunning. Narrow lanes to get to the property not for the feint hearted.

Comfortable, clean, well maintained holiday cottage. Off road parking and dog friendly. Welcome pack including wine, milk, biscuits and dog treats. Within walking distance of Braunton town centre and all the cafes, pubs and restaurants it offers.

First time we have booked with Marsdens but it won't be the last. A lovely cottage with everything we needed just as described. Booking was easy and everything we needed to know was sent to us from start to finish.

Plenty of information about accusing the property. The flat was comfy, clean and well equipped.

Excellent comfortable cottage and extremely helpful information supplied at regular intervals throughout the booking experience both by the agent and, when contacted, by the owners.
It sits alongside a surprisingly busy road, which could be an issue for some, particularly when exiting by car but it’s location is just a short flat walk from the town and its level of comfort and equipment is beyond reproach.

Great place, as good a location as you can have at Saunton Sands. Would defo come back .

This is a review of the company, not their properties as they act as agents for the property owners. I can sum this company up with a few sentences. Changeover days are mostly on Fridays at 16:00.

1. Which company closes their offices at 16:00 on Fridays and doesn't reopen until Monday morning?
2. Which company says in their t&cs that you must complain directly to them?
3. Which company has no options to leave a voicemail for them?
4. Which company has a VERY difficult to find email address and then doesn't respond until Tuesday?

You may be lucky and it all goes well, or you may arrive to find problems that are not going to get fixed until Monday at the earliest. Good luck, but I will avoid them next time.

Will definitely be returning to Bosuns Cottage, it has a great location for the dog friendly beaches and park with a 5min walk to the Marina and shops. We all had a fantastic time here. A big thank you to the owner for being so helpful

We stayed at Heather Lea Woolacomb and had a totally equipped, wonderfully clean, large downstairs of the house with WIFI connectivity, dishwasher, washing machine spin dryer and 7 ring cooker with 3 ovens. We had three bathrooms between the two of us. We overlooked the Bay and only had a short walk to the beach. We tried to re-book our preferred slot but it was already taken

Brilliant from start to finish. Easy online booking, kept informed all way through. Apartment was spectacular, best rental we’ve ever had. Will definitely use again
