Great company to deal with, pretty sharp with answers to any questions you might have. Their mushroom grow kits are consistently good and instructions are easy to follow. My favourites are the Lions Mane and Reishi. The Reishi takes a good 3 months for full antler formation so is best ordered during the spring to make use of the summer heat. I put it under a bench in the green house so it's out of direct sunlight and it seems to work really well here. Lions Mane likes a shady cooler spot, so not in the green house, a garage or shed with access to natural light would be ideal but any corner of a house or flat would work as well

We've bought large quantities of Marvellous mushrooms kits for a couple of years now and have always had excellent success with them. We have also been supplied with great quality log dowels and spawn for our larger projects.
They are always on hand to offer advice, with fast communication through social media and email. 5 star service!

Well, I have read the reviews of this company on Trustpilot and if I'm being honest the majority of the reviews are very accurate except for the one left by BizNuz. Their review does not actually explain why they have left a 3 rating as their description is nonsense.

My experience is, over the years,I have attempted to grow mushrooms many times, some were successful whilst others failed miserably. It is the first time I have ever tried Marvellous Mushrooms and all I san day is wow.

I purchased the Lions Mayne and White Oyster kits which arrived a little sooner than I anticipated which was a pleasant surprise.

Followed the instructions which were extremely simple and within a week, I am harvesting a mass of Oyster mushrooms.

I kid you not, you can literally watch them growing infront of you. The Lions Mayne are a little slower and haven't started to grow yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

There is a saying, you only get what you pay for. In this case you certainly do get what you pay for.

Well done Marvellous Mushrooms, keep going as I look forward to hopefully trying the Black Oyster mushrooms in the future.

I bought an annual subscription of Lion’s Mane mushrooms for my daughter in law’s birthday last year. Delivery was every three months. I was notified when the mushroom plants were on their way and when they were delivered.
My daughter in law has been extremely pleased with the quality of the plants, which have frequently provided a second crop, hence her request for another year.
I cannot recommend this company too highly.

What can I say?! Marvellous Mushrooms truly live up to their name. I bought 2 kits at the same time, one from Marvellous Mushrooms and one from another company. Although I purchased the mushrooms from the other company first, Marvellous Mushrooms' fruiting block has produced fruiting bodies TWICE in the same time the first has only produced one set of measly mushrooms.
The customer service has been second to none, and I know they produce all of their grainspawn/inoculation in-house. I highly recommend, and will be using them for all of my future mushroom growing kits! I am creating an outdoor space for various mushrooms and they will be my go to, for definite. Thank you everyone at Marvellous Mushrooms.

I have know this company since my late business, they are very committed to deliver a high standard products and service, I bought for my own restaurant their oyster mushrooms and also bought their growing kits at home both products of a high end quality, now with their launch of their extracts for Lion's Mane and Chaga I didn't hesitate to grab my supply; In the pass I suffered from fogy brain, difficulty on follow up conversations and my short term memory wasn't working, constant headaches I have been taking Lion's main for more than a year now and didn't hesitate to changed company when I found out marvellous mushrooms extracts, because I know their ethical approach and I know by a fact they give back to Mother Nature, no many companies do this, the results are just fantastic no more symptoms of the ones I mentioned. Well done to this small husband and wife business, keep going!

This feels like a very new company (shocked to be told that they aren't).

Update: The mushroom kit was OK, but have since ordered another from a different mushroom kit company. The second kit was significantly more prosperous, and the overall experience was significantly better.

3/5 stars is a very fair - even overly kind - review. My experience with this company was below average, and 3/5 is above average. I should change this to 2/5, but I won't because I don't want to be overly harsh. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of reviews, and for any negative - or even above average reviews - I receive, I take the advice they give me, or the issues raised, and I try to improve. However, in this instance, they have remarked below that they always do everything they can to resolve customer issues. This was not my experience. I had to resolve my own issue following an error through their own process / website. I am happy to see that they have now updated this, so future customers hopefully won't have the same issues I did.

From a customer perspective, at a bare minimum, the delivery information should be pulled through to the address form, otherwise why include the field? At a(nother) bare minimum, they should note and accept that there is a fundamental difference between the word 'number' and 'name'. At a(nother) bare minimum, their reply time should be less than 24 hours. At a(nother) bare minimum they should realise that it is not easy to stay at home waiting for a delivery on three separate days.

I've bought two lions mane kits and a reishi kit. All have been great and the second LM has been astonishing - over half a kilo from the first flush with more to come. Simple instructions and good customer service. I love these guys and they've inspired me to get more into growing my own mushrooms.

Absolutely the best mushroom kit I have ever had. I’ve just harvested my third flush of Lion’s Mane .. now my favourite mushroom, having knocked hedgehog mushrooms from their top spot. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the quality of the substrate, which produced a total of over 1500g - I can’t give the exact amount because the dog ate half of the second flush! I have now ordered two more kits and some plugs. The growing instructions are clear and comprehensive and give lots of suggestions to deal with any problems (I didn’t have any 😊) and communication with the seller is quickly answered. I can’t speak highly enough of this company and their products and look forward to never having to buy mushrooms from the supermarket again.

I have contacted Craig whenever I needed advice about
the last block of Lion s mane. He s always been very helpful and encouraging. I am ordering again another block in less than a year now. I would not hesitate in recommending Craig - as he is knowledgeable and patient with us novice growers of mushrooms.
People liking and admiring mushrooms have something in common, I feel, and maybe that is why its so easy to talk to Craig.

I have tried kits from others in the last and they have failed. This one is great! Almost ready to harvest. Easy instructions and perhaps most importantly amazing customer service and after care.

If I decide to grow another, I will use these folk without question.

Fantastic product. Very easy to grow indoors.
I’m amazed that after the 2nd flush, when I thought that the block was spent and destined for the compost bin. It has given me another flush, whilst being outside in September. Then to my amazement I’ve found that its still going, on to my 4th flush. I’ll definitely be purchasing another product in the near future.
