I just bought a new Electric Smoker…

I just bought a new Electric Smoker used it once , the inside finish is peeling off from the heat as well as the door frame , so sorry I wasted my money on this smoker , also the temperature cooks higher than the gauge says it is, meat was cooked on the outside but undone on the inside , had to finish them off in the oven , what a waste of time

I purchased a masterbuilt 560 gravity…

I purchased a masterbuilt 560 gravity series just over 2 years ago. It worked fine until it didn't! Like most comments on here. The customer service is horrendous! Masterbuilt should be embarrassed of themselves! It's been going on for weeks. I would write to them explaining what was wrong and how I did all the recommended trouble shooting. And purchased replacement parts and it still wouldn't work. Thank God for YouTube videos. I wrote to them again today explaining the problem and they emailed back saying were closing your issue as completed with out ever answering the questions! Awful company and don't know how they stay afloat with there customer service being so useless and unhelpful!

40 in Masterbuilt Electric Smoker Model…

40 in Masterbuilt Electric Smoker Model # AE131332—I would never recommend anyone to buy this brand of smoker, it’s truly a piece of crap. It blows the circuit breaker all the time. When contacting customer service they were not helpful at all. Never used it that much and will never buy that brand again. Product is very unreliable.

Digital Controller stopped working on my recently purchased electric smoker

I recently purchased a 40-inch Masterbuilt Electric Smoker back in February of 2023 through a big box store. After using it about 12 times, the digital controller stopped working. I had reached out to Masterbuilt Customer Service to file a claim and to also register my model number however because I no longer had the receipt, they said that the smoker was "out of warranty". Furthermore, they stated that they discontinued the model and no longer carried the service part I had needed. I had to order the $39 Digital Controller from Appliance Factory who thankfully had the part. After four e-mail attempts into Masterbuilt, they stated that they would not reimburse me for the part. I've owned other Masterbuilt smokers over the last 10 years and never had an issue. Since this recent purchase 12 months ago and Masterbuilt not owning up to a $39 malfunctioning component, I will no longer purchase this brand. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! MASTERBUILT JUST LOST ANOTHER ONCE LOYAL CUSTOMER!!

I bought a Masterbuilt in 2021

I bought a Masterbuilt in 2021, it started leaking grease within 6 months. Their support is nonexistent. Their app is total garbage. Buy something else.

Customer service is poor

I am stating how dissatisfied I am with your complete lack of customer service. Kept telling me to replace components to repair unit.

First replace the controller, I did. Next replace the element, again I did. Then, replace the circuit board, I did. Spent over $225.00 on parts, then they tell me to replace another component that will cost over another $200.00 which apparently contains the components they just had me replace.

New unit is $400.00, will not purchase another Masterbuilt unit. They need to do a complete overhaul of their customer service department. Its like nobody cares about the customers. The majority of the ratings I have read about them, is very negative.

Masterbuilt is only interested in taking your money and does not care if what they sell works or not.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF CUSTOMER SERVICE WRITES THE ONLY POSITIVE REVIEWS THEY HAVE. They certainly have time because it takes days to hear back, and all you get is replace this part.

No other information. Figure, they are only reading STAY a list of answers and don't have any idea how to handle any issues.

User's recommendation: STAY AWAY.

I have been waiting a month for my…

I have been waiting a month for my replacement control know and igniter that was paid for. They do not respond to my inquiries. This is a minor item, just think if it was a major problem. I could have gone cheap and purchased a generic one but I chose to get an OEM. Please respond Masterbuilt

Horrible customer service

Ordered two chip trays for my smoker more than two months. Attempted to contact customer service multiple times with no answer. Finally had to file a dispute with PayPal. Got a refund for the purchase but right after that, customer service finally contacted me only to tell me they gave me a refund with no apologies or anything. Need the chip trays but can't order them from their website. Incredibly frustrating.

CRAP Customer Service

I can't even tell you if the grill works well or not. Ordered directly from them and body showed up damaged. They are sending a new body which means I will have to some how disassemble the hopper to move it over to the new body. WHEN and IF it ever shows up. Contact support to see when the body will ship and all they say is part is available, shipping is backed up. First and LAST masterbuilt I will ever buy.

Stay away from Masterbult products

Once again, I am stating how dissatisfied I am with your complete lack of customer service. My propane smoker is just a piece of garbage; the people at Masterbuilt are not much better. They were going to send me a burner, but it's back-ordered, which I do not believe. I have had a propane smoker since last summer that Is not working. $ 350.00 wasted. Do you think they care? This is the second piece of crap I have purchased from this company an electric smoker that just tripped the circuit breakers. Masterbuilt is only interested in taking your money and does not care if what they sell works or not. STAY AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF CUSTOMER SERVICE WRITES THE REVIEWS; they certainly have time because they do what they are there for. CUSTOMER SERVICE

The smoker is not bad when it works

The smoker is not bad when it works. But they do not last long. By the time it needs work or parts it's not supported anymore. Also, getting a hold of them you might as well forget it. I'm in the market for another smoker but i do not want to go thru this again. Good smoker but horrible customer service and parts availability.

My husband has owned several…

My husband has owned several Masterbuilt smokers...They just don't last. We will NEVER buy another. We are currently in the market for another since....yes, you guessed it....the lates smoker bit the dust. AND...he really doesn't even use them that much. I don't think they even last a couple years at about 6 to 8 smoker fills a year.

Registered with MasterBuilt for warranty. Waste of time.

Registered with MB for warranty.
Still have to jump through hoops to get assistance.
Have to send photo's of item, serial No. etc already uploaded as part of registration, + photo's showing problem.
When the site asks for Model number etc it just locks up.

Problem, second time of use.
The ambient temp is 20c higher than the MB units setting. Set MB temp to say 60c, tested with accurate probe shows 83c internal ambient temperature making it useless.
Meat is cooking before it gets smoked.
Shouldn't be that difficult to raise a warranty claim.
No other way to contact them, no phone number or email listed, so if the online contact form doesn't work, you're screwed.

Masterbuilt electric smoker replacement parts

I recently received replacement parts for my electric smoker from Masterbuilt. With the components I ordered, they also provided printed instructions and all of the extra incidental parts to make the repair easier. I would have given them 5 stars but delivery was delayed by about a month.

Masterbuilt 1050 Gravity Series.

Absolutely rubbish, the coal hopper had welding coming apart and flames roaring from it, and the middle hopper had its walls disintegrating, after only 4/5 uses and its less than 6 months old. Not what you expect from the part of the item that is supposed to hold the most heat. Masterbuilt can't even send the correct parts to replace the inadequate items. and the supplier won't issue refund!

Masterbuilt 30 inch Electric Smoker worked great

I bought a Masterbuilt MB20070210 Analog Electric Smoker with 3 Smoking Racks, 30 inch, Black on Amazon. It assembled easily, except the screws holding on the side handles were short and only had one thread engagement so I bought four longer ones instead of returning it.
That being said the smoker worked great. So easy to use versus a wood burning one and produced great smoked meats. It is a great value for the results you get from it. It sold me on electric smokers.
