Association of Master Tradesmen Reviews 

Initially Esme at AMT (Association of Master Tradesmen) recommended builders in our area which gave us the confidence to choose the right builder. They also gave us numbers of previous clients of the builder that we subsequently chose, which was really helpful to find out what he was like before we went ahead and picked him. ATM sent us useful information on what to expect from our builder, even our builder's liability insurance. Esme kept in touch throughout the build which was reassuring to know that there was another interested party there for us should anything go wrong. Thank goodness nothing did! Embarking on any build work can be daunting so to have AMT to give you a guiding hand was a great comfort.

Honest open communication by Dan and all his team, they let us know of any issues. Some work hindered by problems with suppliers and covid ( beyond the builders control) which meant some delays, but always kept in the loop. Work completed as specified and pleased with the final result.

Absolutely outstanding service from Esme, would totally recommend to all.

Mainly due to Covid, I could not find a builder to meet my timescales and that I could have confidence in. Through recommendations and dialogue with the Association of Master Tradesmen I was able to find a builder and achieve a mutually agreed contract with acceptable price and timescale. Their continued liaison with both parties throughout the build helped to provide me with further confidence that the work was being carried out in line with best practices.

The Association of Master Tradesmen found me a good builder at a time when everyone seemed to be having work done. They also kept in touch throughout the roject, which was reassuring. The builder kept to his timetable and estimate, despite the difficulties in obtaining materials and their rising cost.

A very good service with helpful advisors. It helped remove the fear of choosing a rogue tradesman. All recommendations were good and our final choice was a quality craftsman. I particularly liked the fact that we were contacted regularly throughout the build to ensure everything was going to plan.

During May 2021 Makain Ltd refurbished an existing Kitchen that required re roofing, wiring,replacement windows and outer door and adding an additional widow. While they were undertaking this work they also repaired a Dormer and re-pointed the outside of the kitchen.
The weather was atrocious with days of heavy rain but they did manage to work around the weather and finish just about on schedule. To achieve this Gervais worked weekends and Bank Holidays. If we required any other building or refurbishment projects in the future we would certainly ask them to quote for the work

Else has been prompt and friendly in her communication and made the experience of working with master tradesmen as straight forward as possible

A joy to deal with

I recently had extremely bad experience from this association. It took me a week for them to call me back when I requested for a qualified builder. After about 4 weeks on they gradually made 4 builders to me in a week time apart. The nightmare was when they called in. None of them could give me a realistic quote for the extension I needed. Instead they had every excuses for not being able to quote for the job. Interestingly, one of them got a spare key to my house in London to get his so called dedicated architect to plan and assess the job. It took me three month for him to bring the quote along with the keys to my house back; who never performed on his three times changing his arrangements to bring back the keys and never did.
It was awfully irresponsible. Excellent in delivering excuses rather than a good job.
I was appalled by this experience that was recommend by one of my close friends. They are just dreadful association. They could be better called an association of master crook men instead. I would mark them a one star association; when thinking of being generous to their service.
