I just received my MATE X, the service was so solid and reassuring as was the bike. The MATE team fill you with confidence and have lots of useful advice on which are the best accessories to purchase along with tyre choice etc.

Darius done an inspection at spittlefields store at brushfield street mates bike centre, his service was effective, very intelligent man and knows what he’s doing when it comes to the technical side of mates bikes quick and effective.

my partner loves it so much and big thank you to Anthony from the warehouse and saad from customer services very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure they give the best customer service possible thank you once again after the Delivery company messed it all up, they was on the case and worked very well together and made sure it was all resolved The situation!! 😀

I Visited the Store in Covent Garden in July to see the bikes in the flesh, Don was instore and was super enthusiastic and helpful!! from then I've spoken to Maz on numerous occasions, Gabriel and finally Aytak the store Manager. Every single one represented the company fantastically. Its a big investment buying 2 bikes and they indulged me and answered all my queries honestly. Ive seen some poor reviews on chats but this far my experience has been fantastic!!. Regards John Killick

Bought two MATE X bikes, one for myself and one for my son. Sturdy and well built. Folds, easy to charge rather heavy to put in the car. We're still looking at upgrading our bike rack for weight and fat tyres. My son loves his bike, inc tracking and shows distance. I had one major problem, my height. I highly recommend visiting in store and try before you buy. Online for the model bought it says from 4ft 11, I'm 5ft 4 and seriously struggled to safely stand, cycle off and stop without a high curb or raised ground, hence 4* rating. I gave it a few rides to get a feel for the bike but this still proved really unsuccessful. So we drove 3 hours to Mate in Spitalfields, London and exchanged my MATE X for a MATE City. Lower frame and awesome ride, so I could fully stop and start safely. Can't thank the team enough for all their help.

I received my bike last Friday. I haven’t been that far on it yet, but I’m amazed at the quality of it, the performance and style. Great communication from time of order to delivery. Will be purchasing some accessories.

You got to take these things slow, right…? It’s a big financial commitment, well, it was for me, to take the leap and get an e-Bike…

After lots of research, the MATE.bike was a brand that kept cropping up, a bit more expensive perhaps, but from what I could determine was the ‘M&S’ of the e-Bike world.

I took a test drive, and I saw another review mentioned ‘his inner child’ had been unlocked. This, is 100% true. I decided on the MATE.bike City, it like the rest of the range, is super solid but not too heavy.

It was important for me to feel connected with the ground, so I wouldn’t be thrown off when turning corners, or with traffic passing by. The bike owns its own space, to say it’s a pleasure to dive is an understatement, and soon I was beaming from ear to ear.

As I was complete it the purchase, I was told they had just launched a ‘wrap service’, whereby the can wrap the frame with a plastic of any colour or design, and it’s almost ‘shrink wrapped’ to the frame, like you can get for cars… how could I refuse.

The service I received from the MATE.bike team, really has been second to none.

Poor Darius, kept-up with my questions and helped to lock-in the wrap design, he honestly earned his stripes as Store Manager, ironing out any queries I had, and his only aim, was to make sure I was 100% happy.

The whole team were involved with my bike, due to the newness of the wrap service, but when I collected, Gabriele helped with getting my accessories fitted, and again demonstrated the insistence, all he wanted was me to love my new bike. I think I mentioned this before, I do..!

I am now the very very proud owner of a bespoke MATE.bike City, with a personalised wrap that was turning heads even before I got the bike home.

This was an investment for me, and one I am so pleased I made. If you are in doubt, drop in to one of the MATE.bike stores if you can. There’s no hard sell, but I bet you’ll get bitten by the MATE.bike bug… there’s no bike like it..! I LOVE IT…!

These guys are great, they helped me with some upgrades for the bikes and have such a welcoming and relaxed feeling in store, nothing was too much trouble.

Whenever I have had a question Saad and his team have always come back to me very fast from order to delivery.

This has been a pleasurable experience from start to finish. They guided me through buying my first electric bike every step of the way. Once you have bought the bike the aftercare is amazing so you are in safe hands for your entire MATE journey. I have a MATE X and I love it. Highly recommend.

Called and they arranged a time to pop in and talk about a new bike. Fell in love with the monthly model they do up special for the window. Popped down a deposit and sorting my cycle scheme and should be picking up in the next few days.

From start to almost finished they were just so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend more

Brilliant service throughout whole proccess, was always a pleasure going into the Manchester store and checking updates with Connor who was nothing but helpful from start to finish. Couldn't recommend the staff high enough - Once we got the bike it has been amazing, exactly what we wanted, no issues and used quite a lot so far! Connor has also been equally as great and helpful with aftercare answering any post-purchase questions we had. Definitely use the MCR store if you are looking to buy!

As one of the Original investor’s I have waited nearly 2 years for my what was meant to be top of the range Founders Edition.
After endless excuses it finally arrived this week.
As a Folding bike the two ends don’t meet in the middle, out by about 1.5 mm. There is obvious signs of an attempt to marry the two together with the use of a large hammer or similar by the damage to the metal and the paint work. Even if they did join together the battery would remain loose so with riding around eventually break the terminal’s leading to potentially dire consequences for both battery and rider.
As a share holder it pains me to write this as I will obviously never regain my investment and will probably never see a rideable bike, but this company is not fit for purpose, after years/months of endless excuses they still cannot prove a share holder with a rideable bike.

Before getting my mate x bike the support/sales staff were excellent in advising me one which model to get and answering any question I had. I did have two issues with the bike in just over a year of owning it, the first being a motor issue and the second being a controller issue. With the motor issue the bike was picked up from my house and returned a few weeks later working better than before. The controller issue was fixed by simply sending my controller and getting a new one sent to me. I was comfortable with the installation myself so it made the process very easy. The staff have always been friendly and easy to talk to.
