Early days as yet but so far it seems quite good

Matr helped my Year 2 boy go from the bottom of the class to the top in two months.

The lessons were well-planned and the teaching was effective. The platform was easy to use and reliable and the support team were excellent.

This was a good value and effective maths intervention.

MY daughter loves her lessons and , as a teacher, I rate her tutor’s knowledge and teaching.

My daughter has only had a few lessons but I have been impressed by how her tutor has engaged her interest and kept her from being overwhelmed or disheartened by something that she really struggles with. I was also impressed with how Matr listened to my feedback and took action immediately to resolve the issue we had. Time will tell how much benefit my daughter gets from the extra lessons but I have high hopes.

As a teacher, I became familiar with TSL in school and saw how successful it was. Now the company has expanded to home tuition with Matr I have signed my daughter up. Matr careful assesses a child and identifies their starting point. It then moves at the child's pace to reinforce prior learning and extend them with new content. My daughter is more comfortable learning in her own home, she has the same encouraging tutor each week. The lessons are well planned and supported with visuals. The feedback is almost instant. I think this is a brilliant service and great value for money.

My daughter utilised this service in preparation for her SATs. The customer service and care we received was second to non. The tutor provided excellent tuitition throughout, after firstly identifying subjects she was less comfortable with the initial SATs based online work sheets. This service is of high quality and well worth the money. Will definitely use Matr again, during GCSE preperations. Many thanks again Matr team and your kind messages were well received.

My 9year old daughter did the two lesson trial as she was really falling behind in school and we wanted to try put something in place for the home side as she had been breaking down in tears in her maths lessons leading her teacher to be ignoring her.
She really struggles with change and speaking out when she’s gets stuck, but I am sat typing this while she’s on her now 4th lesson with Urmila and she’s starting to tell her when she’s not understanding things, This is a huge difference for her (I’ve even just got a smile and a thumbs up)
We still have a long way to go but this is helping her so much and I cannot thank you enough a face to face teacher would just not work for her.

My boys (Year 3 and Year 2) thoroughly enjoy their Matr lessons and their school teachers have noticed a significant improvement in their maths ability since they have started having this tuition. The tutors are very patient and take plenty of time to introduce and guide each child through new concepts working entirely with the pace of the student. They make the sessions personal and enjoyable. We would highly recommend Matr!

Matr is an easily accessible support platform for any child who finds Maths tricky. My daughter dreads doing Maths but then enjoys her lessons on line enormously.

I like that they are understanding friendly and are very clear

A lovely method and most of all convenient to get tutored in the comfort of the home. My daughter doesn’t need to worry about having to look presentable and go to another centre for more work, rather she can be sat at home in her pyjamas and have a maths session.

Pace is nice and slow and really helps the child to become more comfortable with maths.
Only thing that could improve is some worksheets of the session so a bit more practice could be done.

The service concept is fantastic but the execution is mediocre. The customer experience is turbulent in that rescheduling sessions is hard, the software does not always work. I will keep with it though because I think my daughter is benefiting from the tutoring program overall.

I think Matt are doing a great job, only thing I would improve is the time, I personally felt 50mins isn’t enough especially for 10 year old and above.
Maybe increase the timings.

This is a great initiative to build confidence in children to excel. The team is very helpful and the teachers are great! Keep up the good work!

My daughters love Matr. Just having someone talking to them and helping them virtually make a big difference. The Matr staff are also fantastic. They are always there to help if there are any issues.

Excellent customer service and fantastic IT back-up (which is rarely needed). Dedicated, kind and patient teachers. Matr continues to improve and is a leading online home tutorial service. Once feedback is up and running it will get a 5 star from me. Thank you Matr.

We have had a fantastic start with Matr! Our 7 year old daughter is very comfortable with her tutor and her confidence is growing every week.

Matr has been helpful. There have been some teething issues. There is no immediate feedback emailed to parents with a summary of what has happened or what was achieved which I would find helpful.

It is good to have the same teacher each week. The platform on screen is quite busy.

Sometimes I need to feedback things to the teacher eg I feel he needs to give my child slightly longer to process an answer but I find it difficult to know how to get a dialogue going and do not want to interfere during a session.

I’m sure it will improve over time. Staff are v polite and accommodating
