Impeccable service
From start to finish, the service was impeccable. The packers were courteous, thoughtful, and thorough. The unpackers were even more so. When I reported a piece of brass missing from a China cabinet, Adrian was relentless until he found it taped to the packing materials. We have moved internationally almost a dozen times. This was the best move ever!

The packing was fantanstic
The packing was fantanstic, the guys were very professional and a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and professional.
When the furniture was delivered to the UK the guys were, once again, very professional and careful with all our goods.
I am not sure we will have the luxury of a beautiful apartment in Spain again but if we do we will definitely use this firm again. Guiding us through the paperwork was made very simple by the team and the whole process has been a pleasure, thank you very much.

Great, professional, service at a reasonable price
I'm delighted that I chose Matthew James to collect and deliver my house removal consignment from Spain to the UK. I was kept continually informed of the removal process, by email, and any questions regarding dates and times were promptly answered.
They are not the bargain basement, but frequently fail to deliver, service offered by too many businesses. However, their quote was competitive and well below some of the arguably better known operators. If you want value for money from a reliable service Matthew James is certainly worth consideration.
The consignment collection and delivery teams were friendly, organised and carefully handled all unboxed items. Very professional.

Thorough and professional - and very hard working
Matthew James Removals may not be the cheapest on the market but they are extremely professional. We had a move out, our stuff in storage and then a move in and I am so glad we booked Matthew James for the whole stressful experience of moving! They made a stressful time much less stressful than it would otherwise have been.
For moving out, the chaps (especially Max, Martin and Steve) were incredibly cheerful and thorough. Everything was packed really carefully (at times I thought that if my wife and I stood still for too long, we would also be wrapped and packed!
Care was taken with everything, whether tech, antique, fiddly or special. And no-one moaned (too much) about my 20 boxes of books coming down two floors... they were relieved that in the new house all books are staying on the ground floor.
Everything moved out has been moved back in. Nothing has been lost, nothing has been broken. Beds were put back together, TVs re-united with heir stands.
In short I am very glad we chose them for our removal.
If your move out date is not 100% certain, do get the insurance cover which allows you to postpone. Again, not cheap, but I felt it was reasonable as Exchange and Completion on our sale took place very close together and there was a balance to be drawn between making sure we had the removal booked and the possibility of last minute hiccups, which in fact did cause one delay. Especially as our removal took place just a week before the Stamp Duty change and getting the right slot was very important.
Moving house is a very stressful and difficult thing to do, which most of us only do a small handful of times in our lives. Matthew James did a top job and I am very grateful to Max, Martin and Steve for their positivity and unflagging energy!

The least stressful thing about moving
I can honestly say the least stressful thing about moving was Matthew James. They were absolutely first class from start to finish. They were quick to respond to my initial enquiry & their surveyor came to do an assessment within a couple of days. Our exchange/completion date was literally last minute yet Matthew James went above & beyond to get us booked in for the next day. The removal men, Phil & Lee, were exceptional, they took such care over all our belongings, they were friendly & could not have been more helpful. The service was faultless, they will even come & collect all the boxes once you're unpacked. A brilliant job & would highly recommend.

Outstanding Office Move – Highly Recommended
We recently hired Matthew James to help with our office relocation, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. They arrived right on time and completed the entire move within the same day, which was a huge plus for minimising business disruption.
The team consisted of four movers and two vans, and they worked efficiently and professionally throughout. They carefully dismantled all our cabinets and desks, and reassembled everything perfectly at the new location. Every item was thoughtfully packed and secured.
What really stood out was their attention to detail and can-do attitude. The movers were courteous, organised, and clearly experienced in handling office moves. They also helped with placement of furniture at the new office, which saved us a lot of time.
