Recently, I had a minor issue with my briefcase, and their customer support was outstanding — quick, professional, and they replaced it with a brand-new, equally stylish model in no time.

I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism and false promises from any company before. I ordered a blue leather briefcase with engraving from Maverick & Co. back in August 2025, it arrived late and damaged. After contacting their support, I was told to return it for a “speedy replacement.” I did exactly that, only to be met with weeks of silence, endless excuses, missed deadlines, and constant contradictions in every email.
Each time I followed up, they gave me a new story, first saying my order was a priority, then saying engraving was “first come, first served,” then blaming holidays, warehouse closures, and anything else they could come up with. Despite promising quick resolution, months later I still have neither the replacement nor my refund.
Their so-called “customer service” is nothing more than polite copy-paste replies designed to waste your time until you give up. They make fake promises, delay endlessly, and even refused to refund my money after admitting to multiple mistakes. I’ve had to involve my bank and open a dispute just to get back what’s rightfully mine.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from Maverick & Co. The products look good online, but what you actually receive, and the service that follows is a complete disaster. This company is a masterclass in poor quality, false marketing, and zero accountability.

They claim in their reply that I got a replacement, yet I have not received anything and that shows how dishonest and unprofessional this company is.

The Manhattan Slim is a gorgeous bag but after 3 months of regular usage, it started to fall apart. by month 6, the handle was separating and both zippers had busted (within about a week of each other) rendering it unusable. Customer service declined to help as it was outside of the warranty period...but that's because it sat in a closet for almost a year while i worked from home. A bag at this price should last more than 6 months of usage.
EDIT: the below response is a good example of the kind of half-baked customer service you can expect from them. they bother reading my original post where i had already contacted customer service who then referred to the warranty terms and declined to do anything of substance to remedy the situation. they want the appearance of being helpful without actually following through.

I purchased my Manhattan Leather Briefcase a little over a year ago, and unfortunately, the handle detached around 13 months after purchase. I reached out to the customer service team, and since the purchase was made more than 12 months ago, I was offered either a 50% discount on my next purchase or the option to have the briefcase serviced for approximately USD 150 at my own expense.
I do not intend to proceed with either option, as I believe the handle issue reflects a quality concern that should not occur after such a short period of use. I expected better durability and customer support from a brand positioned in this price range as these bags should last well over 12 months. The material of the briefcase has not impressed me either (happy to provide pictures after 13 months use), so this experience has left me very disappointed with Maverick & Co.

Simply the worst kind of thieves. They are selling cheap product that breaks down at a very high cost. When you ask for replacement they say they will only do it if you give them fake positive reviews. The replacement bags also do not work and the materials are cheap and start falling apart after a month. Big china scammers. The website looks premium but the product and service is cheap.

The product is great and the after sales/warranty support is fantastic.
Maverick stand behind their product and really want to make sure any issues are addressed appropriately with quick communication/follow-ups and resolution.
I had a minor issue with my briefcase and they resolved it quickly (even if I was slow to respond at times, they continued to follow-up to make sure they could help).

Everyday I get more and more annoyed with the fact my bag ripped and maverick absolutely refuse to repair or replace. £200+ on a bag and they couldn't give a care in the world. They will respond to this saying to contact their support to sort out, which I do every time, however then they go quiet and don't respond. I wish I could show pictures... Horrendous!
