Reply to Owner: There was no second company who installed the brakes. I brought it to a dealership to fix what had been broken by the employees at Mavis. My brakes are still in terrible shape because of it.

Original Review: Let me start by saying I called this place before posting this review in hopes of settling it as is often suggested, but to no avail. I have included photos of the damage, including the cross-threaded lug nut (before it snapped).

Last year, I brought my Jeep into Mavis to be checked out, and it was suggested that I replace the pads, rotors, lug nuts, shocks, etc. I opted not to, as I thought the price was too high. When they put the tires back on, I discovered they had stripped 1 driver-side rear lug nut. I was only aware of the driver-side issue until the other day, when I brought it into the Jeep dealership to finally have it fixed at the personal expense of $400 (I did not trust Mavis to fix it). It was then discovered that there was additional damage caused by Mavis: 1 passenger side rear lug-nut was also stripped, and another lug nut on the passenger rear was cross-threaded only half way on, a glaring mistake for any automotive professional.

So I call Mavis, as directed, and I get Cody, the manager. I explain my dilemma, and we agree to have the vehicle looked at tomorrow morning. I thank him for being helpful, and am so happy the conversation went well. I then received a call from Cody four minutes later, explaining how they recommended lug nuts at that time of service, and therefore would not be responsible for their own stripping and cross-threading of the lug nuts. I then asked if it was common practice for them to only install lug nuts halfway on, creating an immense safety hazard, to which Cody said yes.

When I realized it was no longer helpful to speak with someone who can make that statement, I told him I would have to pursue this elsewhere, to which Cody signed off "Good Luck".

So remember that next time you risk getting your vehicle fixed here, straight from the manager's mouth, "Good Luck".

I specifically come here to get all my car issues fixed and for my car maintenance. I’m a 26 year old female that has been an avid Mavis customer for 3+ years!! My dad and I always prefer Mavis because of the quality work and the BEST prices. The staff is always helpful and they consistently have the best quotes compared to all the other auto body shops (I’ve checked them all out). Don’t bother looking elsewhere, you’ll never be disappointed with their services.

Cliff and the rest of the staff were extremely efficient and got my tires for me installed with no issues. I will always come here for tires.

Great shop and always professional. They really go above and beyond and stride to be the best for their customers.
