Mavis Tire - Port Jefferson Station Reviews 

I made a 2pm appointment to have the 2 front tires on my wife’s car replaced. They told the car would done by 4pm the latest. I called at 4:30pm to see if my car was ready & they tell me they haven’t even started working on my car. I tell them we have a family function at 7pm. They assure me it will get done by 6pm. We get a call at 6:30pm that the car is done. We arrive at 6:45pm to pick up the car. I noticed they replaced the back 2 tires. I had told the guy at dropoff 3 times I needed the 2 front tires replaced. I then ask the asst Mgr working how he is going to rectify the situation & he tells me he is sorry but there is nothing he can do. I said you close at 8:30pm, have someone correct the issue by moving the tires from the back to the front. He tells me he has no workers. They’re open until
8:30pm with no workers at 6:45pm? Finally another guy overhears my issue & says “I don’t work for Mavis, I work for a 3rd party company that helps Mavis on problem cars”. He then calls over another kid & tells him to move my tires from back to front. I don’t even know if that was a Mavis employee who did that.
We had to wait until 8pm to have this all completed. We missed our family function at a restaurant. I wrote a google review & customer service replied to call them to rectify the situation. They offered me a $50 voucher which was an insult after that experience & spending $600 on 2 tires. I said I would accept a $100 voucher. She says she would need to ask her mgr but would get it for me. I get an email for a $65 voucher, not the $100 voucher she promised me. DO NOT USE MAVIS TIRE!! Just a horrible experience from start to finish!!!

Although Long Island Roads took two tires from me in two week Mavis had my back. Ernie helped me both times, he is so helpful, friendly, and professional.

I am a regular customer for many years now. I came to put air in my tires. Chris immediately came out and handled it for me. I never expected that. In addition, he put new air caps on all my tires. Service like this makes Mavis the best around. Chris is a high asset!

When I came to get my car checked they made sure to tell me what was going on every step of the way as I had asked. They were very nice and had a very pleasant atmosphere to be around. Everyone there seemed to really enjoy working together. It was a very busy day and they still were able to get a lot done. The prices were very reasonable and affordable. Overall I feel like I’m walking into a friend or family business. Something I wouldn’t change. Please keep up the fantastic work guys you are all amazing and my car now works like a dream. Thank you so much.

Ask the person at the desk do you have my style of tire and I was told yes we have 24 of those. I ask again is it my style to match the others oh no it is the same size. i ask will it affect the AWD iwas told no but we will put it on the rear and move a rear one to the front.The person changing my tire was on his cell phone texting. It took 1 1/2 hrs to change the tire. He was told to put it on the rear and move the rear tire to the front this did not happen. very disappointed no manager in the store.
I have been a customer there for the past 10 years and if this was my 1st there I would never go back. someone has to step in now before more customers leave unsatified
