What an unprofessional, unorganized establishment
This place is unorganized, disconnected, and has terrible customer service. I went in 3-4 weeks ago to get an alignment, paid $100, and then left. I still felt a small jerking in my wheel, so I asked what was up, and the manager said to bring it in again. He relooked at it, and said I actually need to get 4 new tires.
I went to get a second opinion at 2 Brothers auto body shop just down the street (fully recommend them, they've been really helping me out and honest guys), and they said I only needed 2 new tires. So I get the 2 new tires and after I brought it back to mavis to get re aligned, since I had a warranty on the alignment. After I brought it back to Mavis for the new alignment, the store manager (Jonathan) said they were unable to do a rear alignment cause the bolts were molded into the vehicle, so he would have to order special parts to loosen them, then charge me for parts and labor
So I ask why was I charged for an alignment at first then if it wasn't completed? So they never even attempted an alignment the first time i brought it in and I was charged. He then tried to make excuses, but ultimately he realized they were in the wrong, and offered free labor; parts he said were only 40-50 bucks. So I say okay order the parts and thank you for admiting to the mistake. He calls me Monday afternoon, says the parts are ready and to bring the car in tomorrow. Tomorrow comes along, I call up to make sure, and a guy named Dennis picks up. He tells me Jonathan left the company and they didn't have an acting manager, so I tell him the situation and he tells me I can't bring it in that day cause his alignment guy isn't in and proceeded to tell me to bring it in tomorrow and they will get it done first thing. I bring it in, and see Dennis, and he says they should have it done by the end of the day. I wait till the end of day and no call. So I call up and ask them and he said ohh yeah I couldnt get my alignment guy in today, but first thing tomorrow they'll do it. (At this point I could've had my car all day to drive, but had to use money for cabs to get to work instead)
Reluctantly i say fine make sure its done by 12 cause I want my car for work and he said for sure it will be done. Next day I call at 1130 (they still never initially called me, I keep having to reach out to them) and this new manager Rob tells me they were unable to get the bolts off with the special parts, so then they needed to sodder them off, and because of that the control arms would burn off and I would have to get new control arms for $386 a piece.
At this point, I spent money on 6 cab rides going to and from work, and my car is totally drivable. So now I'm furious.
I go to mavis to pick up my car and see Rob the manager, and he immediately gets defensive. No apology on how this was handled, he kept saying how he was only there for the week to "get away from his wife and family" and that he has no control on what happened before he was there. So Mavis just put a random dude as manager for a week that didn't care about the clientele. He also "gave me [his] word" about having the car ready after talking with Dennis. He said " im not like these guys here. I will make sure its done", but ended being exactly like the other ppl I was dealing with at that location.
Eventually, I call up the mavis customer service support line listed under many of the negative reviews on here. I ask what can be done since I've lost my trust with that specific mavis. The woman on the phone said she would write a note to the regional manager and he would call me that day or tomorrow. No word. So I wait for the weekend and call the support line again, and this time she transfers me over, and what do ya know im talking to mavis tire in yorktown again! I decided to leave it alone, and just leave this review because no business is worth the stress and annoyance.
This place is the worst place you can take your car. They make car dealerships look like saints.

Oil change and tire rotation in 1-hour
Oil change and tire rotation were done in 1-hr so I could get home in time for a 9:30am meeting (I had gotten to the shop at 8am). Very appreciative that they could accommodate my tight timeline.
