Disappointing results and poor customer service from management
The staff at Mayfair Aesthetics are very nice and friendly, and the clinic is clean, however after 8 full body sessions I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the results. Like a lot of others, I was very excited after my first few sessions when I saw hair shedding, but it feels like it was only temporary as I'd say around 80% of it has grown back. At the start of my sessions, I was told that my hairs would respond very well and to expect a much more significant permanent reduction but this hasn't been the case unfortunately. Another thing I found strange was that one therapist would tell me that in order to see results I would need to constantly shave between sessions. I shaved between sessions to remain hair-free in any case, but the idea that shaving makes laser more effective is obviously not true (laser targets the follicle whereas shaving just removes hair on the surface of the skin). Did confuse me a bit that someone who performs laser would say something like that! It's like the old wives tale that shaving makes hair grow 'thicker', but the opposite - that is makes laser more permanent...
In any case, for the past 10 months or so I have been having bikini laser elsewhere with a different machine, and my results have been perfect, despite the fact that the bikini area tends to be stubborn to treat, so I will be going there for future sessions.
Edit: As time went on, even more hair grew back leaving me back where I started. Totally ineffective laser and poor customer service. I attempted to explain my concerns to management, sent photos etc but wasn't listened to or acknowledged at all. He said he would get in touch with the manufacturer of the laser to 'investigate' (🤷♀️) and I didn't hear back ever since. After contacting again, the manager offered 2 extra sessions for free which, quite frankly, is a joke, given that after 8 sessions and nearly £2000 I've seen no results, and I'd already started treatments with another clinic (with amazing results). I requested that instead of two free sessions to just have the cost of those reimbursed (still such a ridiculously small sum of money compared to what I had paid), but this was refused for some reason. Do not recommend Mayfair Aesthetics at all. If it doesn't work you'll just be told you're 'resistant' and brushed off, with thousands gone down the drain. They also incentivise leaving good reviews, so take things with a pinch of salt. Wish I'd known that before parting with my money.

Great service but not the result I was hoping for
Great service at the clinic and good experience but after six laser hair removal treatments I’m still left with a big bush of dark hair…

Will be staying with them for all laser…
Will be staying with them for all laser hair removal
Having had a pretty bad experience with Beauty and Melody for laser hair removal (6 sessions with no results whatsoever, which the therapists kept repeatedly putting down as my fault because of my 'hormones'), I can say that I'm so happy with my treatment so far at Mayfair Aesthetics (City).
The two receptionists that I've met are absolutely lovely and take their time going through every detail during the consultation. The therapist was also very friendly and professional and did a good job of putting me at ease and checking that I was comfortable throughout the session. I've only had 2 sessions so far but I am already noticing a big difference in hair growth. I've now booked to have more areas done as I feel like I can trust the quality of the laser.
Horrible experience.
Horrible experience.
I paid for laser sessions on bikini, half legs and full face.
I only had 1 session on my face and I was left with full inflammation of my face, face spasms and horrible pain . I’ve been spending time and money with doctors to help me recover from the tremendous damage this clinic did. I have mri and doctors letters to prove the damage and when talking to the manager over the phone he was so dismissive blaming me for all. He went into automatic response the “customer is wrong, we follow protocol”. They’re not up to date with latest clinical journals, the beauticians do not report when something goes wrong on a session, they failed to communicate on the middle of a pandemic and global vaccination that lasers should wait at least 3 weeks ( in other countries they make you wait a month) .
The therapists do not know how to assess when damage is done . After I told the therapist I could feel the heat down to my teeth, and she saw my face started to spasm, she anyway continue with the treatment. She had to stop completely as clearly damaged was done right there and then.
The manager is super cold blooded , dismissive and I had almost to beg for my money back. He didn’t care about my physical and emotional distress caused by them. After the damage done you would expect they would have the decency to give me all my money back, he only agreed after long phone call and long emails to give me the remaining of the sessions.
Will def go down the legal road and talk with my solicitors
I am extremely happy with my laser hair…
I am extremely happy with my laser hair removal treatment on my face and legs. With olive skin and thick black hair, for my face in particular, the hair started to give me acne, and as a result pigmentation. With the hair gone, the skin is so much more cleaner and dirt does not get trapped under the hair follicles - the result a more clearer and glowing complexion. Even my sin products are sinking into my skin better. Now, even my colleagues love love my skin. I also just want to say thank you to all the friendly staff and Hammersmith and Pimlico.
Very good experience
I started my laser hair removal treatments at Lupus Street last year after I've already done some hair removal at a different clinic in London (it wasn't good) and I just wish I knew about Mayfair Aesthetics earlier! I usually book appointments with Rinku or Anna and they are both great, very friendly and very qualified. The clinic also takes the safety very seriously now during the pandemic which is very reassuring.
Highly recommend
Brilliant service, very friendly staff (especially Luana in Hammersmith and Kate in Moorgate). I have done 9 full body sessions and each time have completely felt at ease and the staff were very attentive ensuring a high quality service with good advice and recommendations. In terms of hair regrowth, some areas of hair have been stubborn but the majority of areas have seen a significant reduction in the regrowth. I wish I did this sooner!
Happy Hair removal! 4 stars!
I am currently in the process of a full body laser package and overall I am happy. After 6 sessions in most areas the hair/regrowth is minimal. It is important to set realistic expectations, especially in more stubborn areas i.e Hollywood!
The service at the clinic is very hit and miss depending on who is working on reception, and like others I have experienced a 20 min wait for therapist to arrive (best to avoid morning appointments!) My advice to anyone thinking of booking a package, is to keep a close record of visits and sessions. It gets very complicated and in my experience I found the records kept by the clinic are all over the place! Although Matthew, the clinic manager was very helpful in sorting out the discrepancies. - I will say he does come across quote sharp, but in the end I left happy! 4 Stars, would recommend!
Horrible customer experience
Horrible customer experience, I was forced to prepay my 3 bookings when I wanted to pay them individually. Once I was late I was told to wait hours to receive my appointment that day or otherwise threatened to lose the services I had prepaid for. The owner is incredibly rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.
Not accommodating at all.

I'm very happy about the treatment…
I'm very happy about the treatment since the first patch test, up to session 1. My hair is being reduced since session 1 and my skin is getting so much better. The staff is super professional, knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfortable. The payment plan is great and very convenient. The clinic is spacious, nice and very clean. I have just done my 3rd session and i am so happy i cannot wait to see more results!! I truly recommend it. The high quality service is impecable and the results talk by themselves.
I had good service before lock down

Happy Already!
I've recently started coming to this clinic after being recommended by a friend. The staff, both the receptionists and therapists, are extremely welcoming and polite.
I've just started my treatment and I'm already seeing the reduction in hair growth, and I've even added another area.
Highly reccomend
I recently visited the Pimlico clinic…
I recently visited the Pimlico clinic for laser hair removal. The staff were superb and the treatment was painless. I’ve been to other laser clinics in London none of which compared to Mayfair Aesthetics level of professionalism and service.
Awful experience
I booked a laser treatment for underarms and bikini area of 6 sessions. I spent lots of money and after 4 sessions I haven’t seen any difference. I tried to talk to them and explain and they just blame on me because I have missed the last two appointments. I know I can’t expect my hair to disappear with only 4 sessions but I instead of noticing hair lost I’ve noticed more hair and thicker than before. Not recommendable at all! Now I will start a legal procedure to try and get my money back.

Ineffective treatments, poor service and quality of treatment, rude and unprofessional staff and manager, laser burns from treatments
I have never had to write a negative online review before, however after the experience, unprofessionalism and abuse I have endured at Mayfair Aesthetics I felt the need to share my honest experience on online platforms, so this can help other people make an informed decision when considering this clinic and not have to go through the same as me.
1. Overall I found my laser hair removal treatments to be ineffective. I had 6 full face and 3 full body treatments. I have seen no results or reduction in hair growth, and in some areas I am left with thicker hair than before starting laser due to shaving. The staff made no effort to check on my results or how my treatments were going. During sessions I tried to speak to the laser therapist to mention how my results were at the time and to show her my hair growth prior to shaving, to understand why my results were as they were. Rather than being open to discussing results and ensuring the customer is happy with treatments, every single time the therapist was very rude and defensive, just telling me that I will see results “after the next session” (which I still did not even see). Overall my treatments were a complete waste of time and money.
2. I was burnt on my arm and leg during a treatment, when I subsequently showed the burns to 2 therapists (including the therapist that caused the burn), they showed no concern and I was told that I was warned about the possibility of burns during my consultation. They made no effort to try and help me or find out why the burns were even caused to prevent this from happening to me or others in the future. Signing a waiver of possible “very rare” side effects does not warrant the clinic to disregard the safety of clients or therapists to use the laser inappropriately on clients.
The laser therapist (who caused the burns) called this a “normal” reaction – I do not understand how being burnt is a “normal” reaction, nor was I told this on my consultation. I had irritation and pain for several weeks after the burn and I am left with the scars over 10 months later, and have to look at these every day and constantly be reminded of my experience almost a year later – no decent clinic would not call that “normal” and no customer would pay to put themselves at risk of this “normal reaction” occurring.
The laser can feel very hot like a hot iron being rubbed on your skin. During a subsequent treatment when I found the laser to be too hot to handle at one point, I asked the therapist if she could pause (the same therapist previously burnt me) – she actually laughed at me instead and called me a “baby”. I have concern for the safety of clients with the Clinic’s attitude towards burning clients and safety.
3. I have had treatments with 3 different therapists and can confirm that there is a vast difference in the treatment methods and attention to detail by each person. Whilst the manager denies and dismisses my complaints over this, I am speaking based on my experience and facts of my appointments. I even saw another google review mention this, so I cannot be the only person to have noticed this. One of my full body treatments with one therapist finished 1 whole hour earlier than my others and the time recommended to me. I felt little/no heat during the treatment, as the therapist rushed and moved the laser onto different body areas before I felt the required level of heat– making my treatment feel like a wasted session since I was told by other staff you need to feel heat for the treatment to be effective. The same therapist was very new to the clinic at the time (albeit having experience working elsewhere) but I also experienced very different methods during my face appointment. When I questioned the differences in treatments with my usual laser therapist, to understand why my treatments differed, I was not given an explanation and the therapist instead called her colleague “stupid” and said “she does not know what she is doing”.
When raising complaints about poor treatments to the manager, I was ignored and subsequently he was very dismissive of my complaint, and denied what I said, stating staff are trained and he has “confidence in his staff”. – It would have been preferable if my complaints were investigated in an unbiased way before he reached that conclusion.
This issue has still not been resolved and I have not been refunded for my two poor treatments nor was I offered at any point to re-do the sessions by the clinic. The manager now claims he has already refunded me for these treatments – but I have not received any refunds for these particular treatments and he is not responding to my follow-up emails on this, to attempt to continue to avoid dealing with the issue.
4. I have had a senior laser therapist make several rude, unpleasant and uncomfortable comments about areas of my body and skin during treatments. I found this to be completely unprofessional and rude. Customers do not pay and put trust in staff to be ridiculed by them. To justify the behaviour of his staff I was also told by the manager that I was a “nightmare” and “too demanding” with untrue comments made about myself (while I disagreed with this –he was unable to provide me with a single specific example of when this occurred nor did he address the behaviour of his own staff) he even told me about rude and name-calling comments the laser therapist said about me and wrote in her treatment notes. Whilst the therapist can deny making comments about me during treatments, the fact that she could be rude and unprofessional about a customer in her notes demonstrates her character and capability to be rude in person. I know I have never been rude to any members of staff and raising issues with the clinic such as with my treatments or questioning what I have been told does not mean I am being rude. As a paying customer I am entitled ask questions. The clinic should consider the behaviour of their own staff and actually consider why a client has issues in the first place with the clinic and treatments before dismissing these and attempting to shift blame.
5. I have found the manager to be very unpleasant, rude, blunt and dismissive about complaints. The clinic seems to follow the motto of ‘the customer is always wrong’. Rather than trying to be helpful in situations or at least provide fair explanations for issues, I was left with either being ignored/dismissed, being told what I am saying is untrue (without justification) or being given an unsatisfactory response that is unrelated or does not address my issues. From the start the manager had no intention to deal with my complaint and even admitted this himself saying he is “not going to bother responding to my email" “not discussing any further” and “I am heartily sick of wasting time dealing with you so if I am blunt with you, so be it.” (all directly copied from his emails). This demonstrates the unprofessionalism of the clinic and poor customer service.
There is still far more I can complain about but the review is already lengthy.
I paid for all my sessions upfront, and from then onwards I experienced all of these issues. After making payment they do not deliver the service promised or care about the customer. The clinic might have 2000 customers (as the manager boasts) but there is no value given to each one. Staff and the manager will take no responsibly for complaints or try to resolve issues in a fair way. In attempt to raise the above issues with the manager, after some communication (a few emails in July, 1 letter in November and 1 email in December) the manager left me a very aggressive and blunt voicemail calling my complaint “non-stop harassment” and telling me he would not respond. The clinic is prone to exaggeration and ignoring complaints, it clearly was not “non-stop” due to the timeframes/frequency mentioned, nor is raising a complaint to a business about service harassment. Responding to complaints substantively is also a legal duty for businesses.
I have been completely honest with my review and this is based on my undeniable experience. I will not be surprised if I am met with rude comments from management post this review, denying my experience and my complaints (yet again) and making untrue allegations about me to justify their own behaviour (as has been done in emails instead of actually dealing with my complaints or trying to reach a resolution). Also bear in mind, a lot of the positive reviews from this clinic seem to be from new customers – when I first started treatment the clinic manager even told me that if I left a positive review I could win a free facial – making incentive for clients to leave inflated positive reviews.
I would not recommend this clinic to anyone, and I genuinely wish I had never come across Mayfair Aesthetics.
UPDATE: I may have been "banned" from the clinic - but as I said above I was not rude to any staff and the manager ignores where his staff were rude to me. He has responded to every email personally attacking me and making up untrue comments (including a made up encounter where he said he met me and I complained about some areas being missed in treatment - which did not happen), but not actually addressing my complaints. As per point 3 above - I raised the issue of poor treatments BEFORE i was banned, and he still refused to address this - he said he refunded me already but has not done so. His "ban" was a way to get rid of a customer who made complaints and had many prior issues with staff so he could continue to not address these, demonstrating poor customer service.

Rude staff, you're only a number, not a patient
So disappointed, I got a deal on Groupon and what a mistake!
The staff is rude, the only that count for this company is your money, they will try to sell you anything they can.
I did laser for 1 year almost, 8 sessions and no results.
The staff is rude, you almost feel as if you are in class being grounded by your teacher. If you arrive 5" late, they'll cancel your appointment but then if they are 20' late, you can't say anything.
Really really bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
